Hi, On Wordpress I use pretty links plugin to make easy to remember URLs to certain posts and pages. Is there a way I can do this on here too? Example: i have a forum post that has turned into a really good guide, I want to be able to tell people to go to mysite.com/guide or I have an event in my calendar and I want to easily promote it. Mysite.com/event then later change that url to point at the latest event each month id this possible?

I'm not even sure if this possible but I was a little disappointed when updating to the latest release did not include PHP 7, since it was a headline for the release and Charles even mentioned how good it is here: Can it be done on CIC? Did I miss some info about it? Or will be it happening further down the line? (I know some of this is more feedback or maybe even better suited in the Client Lounge but it is a potentially complicated issue and so just threw all of the questions in here -- I'll happily post them separately in another forum if that would be better.)

In IPB 3.x it was possible to set up a custom permission set and assign it to a member to restrict access to a specific board without having to create a whole new member group solely for that one user. In IPB 4.x however (unless I'm just not seeing it) the custom permission sets seem to be gone, so how do I do this now ? Thank you.

Right now my membership is set up for monthly payments. I see how to create a coupon code so that I can make the cost $1 for the first month. Is there a way to use the coupon feature to provide a $1 7 day trial and then they are billed after the 7 days? Or will this require customized code?

Hi all, am I missing something? I bought a new IPB cloud hosted package about an hour and a half ago, got the "your community is ready" email about an hour ago, but the page is just HTML. Even the admin panel is all over the place and I am unable to click the link to upload a new theme. Do I just need to wait a bit longer? (why did I get "your ready to go!" email then?)

As the title says, I want to know if chargebacks are handled for payments, specifically PayPal and Stripe gateways, and if so is there a function I can hook to add my own code? Hello, I'm new here. I've spent a ton of time going through online documentation and the forum trying to figure out where/how to get started. I'm stuck on the cname step. My main site is at Squarespace. I've set up a CName over in Squarespace ( called community ) to go to my mysite.invisionzone.com I'm using the HOSTED version of Invision Power Board on the monthly payment plan The result I am looking for is two fold: typing www.community.mysite.com should pop visitors over to my invision power board set up where as www.mysite.com still goes to my Squarepace site. when folks get redirected to my invision power board set…

When you get to the check in Commerce there is a set of graphics that show which credit cards can be used: I know from experience that PayPal (who handle our credit card payments) doesn't accept American Express cards in the UK, so is there a way to change the card icons that are shown please? Thanks

On the 4.1.x Chat I have tested the Private Chat feature and there doesn't appear to be any notification to the person you have initiated a private chat with. I had to go back into regular chat and have him ALSO initiate a private chat with me but then everyone else knows you are entering into a private chat. This is not how it worked in 3.4. Am I missing something or is this the expected behavior?

How can I create a recording listing template that will show results like this: https://invisionpower.com/third-party/providers/ but in a grid layout and with the image displayed (small square thumbnail). From my previous post but I am lost with the suggestions. Needing a dummies guide to do or if someone already has a template I can use? With the image inclusion, I've tried both: {file="$record->record_image" extension="cms_Records"} <p><img src="{file="$image" extension="cms_Records"}" /></p> but a broken image is displayed as it's only returning forumurl/forum/uploads/ path instead of the image

In commerce you are able to create differential pricing on items based on the members user group. But you can't seem to do this on the renewal? Or am I missing something
