Welcome, I'm looking for information if I can change download button in Downloads to link. I would like to build resource directory on my forum and I'm looking for possible options. I checked Links directory plugin but I can't show pretty affiliate links there and it's not exactly what I'm looking for. So i'm looking for something different. Do you know if it's possible in Downloads to change default action under main download button?

I created a block and put a banner in it. This blocks is shown on different locations inside my forum. No I received a second request for an advertisment at this block. Is it possbile to show two different banner with this block, and each banner will be shown with a fifty percent probability?

Hello! We've created a database in IPS for Articles. As you can see, it currently have 4 categories and 27 records. I believe that it uses the standard templates for displaying the database information. Here's a screenshot of those settings in the database: As it stands, the Categories are displayed as... Hello! I'm wondering if there's a way to set individual members, within the Moderators group, to be the moderators of a specific forum in IPB 4.1.x For example, I have forums X, Y, and Z, and I have Mod A and Mod B. I want to make Mod A the moderator of both forums X and Y, and Mod B have control of forums Y and Z. Is there any way to do that so that Mod A doesn't have control over forum Z, and Mod B over forum X? I'm sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, I might have missed it when I was trying to search for the answers. Thank you!

Hello! I know, this may be strange, but let me explain I'm owner of big community. I want to give permission for adding users to specific groups to my staff team. For example: Staff Team can add user only to "players" group and delete users from "players" group (nothing more, nothing less). Tech Support can add user only to "high command" group (delete as well). //Only examples to imagine you what I want. Is it possible to do this? Or, is there any add-on what allows me to do such thing?

Hi everyone, We have a private, password-protected thread, and people are not getting notifications when they post, despite their notifications being set correctly (they get notifications OK when they post on other public threads). I am looking for some copy to use in the Anti-Fraud rules for commerce. Anybody have recommendations? For us, they would need to be U.S. based rules but I think others from other countries would find resources helpful as well. If you are willing, share the rules you have setup.

Hello! I am messing with my newly installed IPS board, and found out that i need to allow users (and myself) to specify timezones to the events, and to display this timezone in the event itself. Preferably, also translate the timezone to the timezone of the user who is viewing the event. Is there a built in feature for this, of an easy way around it?

Hi, I'm after a way to have a drop down menu with options to choose from, in the title before you post. For example, in a classifieds section on the forum, instead of having two separate forums for wanted/for sale, you have one and you choose which, either for sale/ wanted from a menu in the title and it shows up in post. if you get me, I've seen this done on other platforms but never achieved it on IPB. any ideas?!

The default page has Category titles set to "Opaque" We need them set to bold so members know they are there. Can we change the names in the red boxes to bold? Even if its only as bold as the sub-category in the green box. Thanks.

I've dropped a custom html and/or php block on a page, I want to pull all the first post, of all the topics in a specific sub-forum, and display them on a page like a news feed. I want to parse them so they display just like they do in the forums. So I assumed I could just access a set of php or blade(whatever IPS calls it) functions and pull the info I wanted from the database. I can not find good documentation for what I'm trying to do. Am I just overlooking it? Alternatively, direct me to what files I can examine for the forums, so I can learn off those.

Sorry if I'm repeating something already dealt with, but I'm preparing to upgrade to 4.2 and I have a clear idea of what I want to do with clubs, but since I can't test clubs I was wondering if you could help with one specific question 1. ¿ Can you create a club so that anybody registered (obviously not the guest user) can read the information and reply or post without joining the club ? Hi there, It's nice that IPS supports desktop notifications. But they seem to only work when you have at least one IPS browser tab open in the browser. Is it possible to make them work even when you're not browsing your IPS forum, to help entice visitors to come back more quickly?

I corrupted the default theme, and need a download for it. I tried to just make another installation on my local machine and grab it from that, but apparently IPS counts 127.0.0.1 as an installation and now I'm stuck with it. Thanks for any help.
