This last week I have been involved in designing a new community framework. Most websites involving that "niche" use dark-white, dark-blue/white - black-orange webpages. So I thought "ok, in Rome do like romans do". No big deal. It took some time but eventually I managed to design a pretty nice dark blue theme, so far so good. Ok, now the problem. My users or potential customers are not very smart, let's say they'd be in trouble if they had to draw a circle with a glass and pencil. Hello I am trying to add emoticons through the ACP. I can get as far as typing in a new category name, and actually uploading the files, but when it gets to saving the changes the system appears to accept what I want, but does nothing. Any ideas whats going on?

Is there a way to remove the Status box from the Index page or to determine who can see it? At the moment, it is wide open to public view and I'm not sure I want to keep it that way, but I'm not finding options to change that. Would appreciate knowing if I can do that without editing the templates, because I know I can do that.

I might be getting dumb, but I cannot find the option to send the same PM to multiple people, but without them being part of a conversation. I want to send the same message to 10 members, but the conversation needs to be 1 on 1 between me and each member. There was definitely such an option back in 3.x days, but I cannot find it now...

Hello, I have a problem with BBC codes. I converted my SMF database, and everything seems to work fine beside BBC codes, as you can see on images i attached, instead of style text i see raw BBC codes alongside text.

Mine doesn't seem to be working or do i have to manually add more when i see there are more people on the site. That doesn't make sense if that is the case. Mine is set to 3 and never move so i raise it to 4 but nothing happened. I have more guest online when this at same time. Doesn't guests include in this or it just logedin members that counts? Is it possible to just disable this counting on most online user so it not visible on the site. I want have the latest member and how many register members there are on the site but disable this counting on most online.

I have a set of products (let's call them "ranks") where members can purchase any of them and then they can upgrade to a higher level at a later date if they want to. I also have other things in store that I don't want the coupon to be valid for, just these ranks. I created a coupon and set so that the coupon is usable for all of these ranks, it works when a member purchases their first rank, but it does not work for upgrades in between ranks, it says that the coupon may not be used for that purchase. I did check "Can be used for renewals of selected products?", but that didn't help either. If I enable "No restriction" for products, the coupon works OK. Is this …

Hey guys, does anybody know, how to reset the setting when you first open the approval queue in the ModeratorCP? There's an explanation that you can use the approval queue where every item is listed one by one and you can decide for each item individually. With this explanation comes a checkbox to not show this hint again the next time. When I was quick translating the website recognized my spacebar while typing the translation as a button click or so and accepted this hint without showing it anymore. I want to undo that but I cannot find the right table in the database. Hope you can help me. Regards Phil

I want to change the basic URL of my site from "domain. com" to "www.domain.com". I know I have to update the base_url variable in conf_global. php and update the licenced url in the client area, then run the support tool to rebuild the datastore file. But... 1. Is it necessary to respect a delay between the modification of the licenced url in the client area and the update of conf_global. php 2. in what order should the changes be made so that there is no service interruption? 3. How long will the rebuild of the datastore file take for a site with 40.000 members and 1,500,000 posts in forums ? Thank you for your help

Morning! We are running the most current stable version of IPS Community suite with Google Maps enhancement enabled. Is there any place to set defaults for Calendar Event creations? For example, in the Location field, the state defaults to Alabama. It would be nice if there was a way to set it to our state, vs changing it every time since there is less likely to be something scheduled out of state. I have looked through the theme templates and CSS and did not see anything in the calendar sections that related to the location field.
