Hello. I've got a user promotion (to another group) set up, but then it seems this promotion is not always executed, which I find odd, but oke. I've read this somewhere: Maybe it's a better feature to change this that this is just run like other mainenance jobs via cron or when users visit the forums. Anyway, the promotion is set up to promote all users which registered x days ago (for example 10 days ago) to another usergroup. And nothing happens, because a lot of those users don't visit very often. Now I read that this could be fixed by doing a recount on the usergroup which this promotion was applicable to. Here's something that I've had happen a couple of times in the past, and logging in to my website this morning I find it's happened again: I go to the admin signin page, and find that the Invision logo is missing from above the Display Name or Email Address and Password fields. I can still sign in without problems. There are other images missing from the default theme as well: in particular, the default Guest placeholder image on the Who's Online page (yoursite.com/online). This is the only other missing image AFAIK but I haven't looked closely at every page. I use a custom theme so this doesn't directly affect me, but it annoys me because 1) I don't know…

Hi all! Attempting to build a Characters Page in the Pages application with several custom fields such as Name, Age, etc. etc. There is an Upload for reference sheets and other character images (multiple upload allowed). However, the issue comes in displaying these uploads as images. The default Display options only display the multiple uploads as URLs, and I'm not versed enough in php and template logic to create something akin to the "new images" block for the gallery which would be a great way to display something like this. Can anyone recommend a way to accomplish this? Is there already a plugin or application for this? Cheers, Alex

Under content user group settings, there is Require approval before content shows? setting. Question, if I change this to 1 approved item, how will it affect current registrations for members that have not submitted any content and more importantly all members that have already submitted content that did not go through an approval stage before this setting was turned on. I would hate to get a bunch of posts to approve, but would like to turn on the setting for anyone posting for the first time to manually approve.

Can someone help me understand how downloads app inside of a club works? What if the club owner wants to allow club members to sell content via downloads? Who gets a cut? Can the club owner sell content video downloads? I am very confused on the whole thing. Can someone please explain. Thank you

I'm trying to learn how clubs work, before i launch them, but i can't find a place where i can read about functions and settings. We use the "flag as spammer" function to ban users. Does that automatically ban their IP addresses too? Is there some other way we should be doing this? We have discovered that a user who was banned is coming back on the same IP with a different username and email address. Thanks, jen

My host limits the sending of bulk emails to 200 within an hour, is there a way I can send a bulk email in batches? For example, send email to first 200 members, then maybe a few hours later send the same email to the next 200 members and so on...if not this might be a good feature to add in the future perhaps?

Hello. It looks like I'm missing an well known option on forums, but it may be I'm just looking in the wrong place, can't find it. When somebody wants to correct a typo or just add a few words to a posting after he/she made the posting, immediatly the "edited by" or "edited just now" is shown. Is it possible somewhere to give a timeout for this to happen? For example lets say post something, and after that use the edit function to correct something, the "edited by" is only shown if I edit the post for example 3 minuts after posting, unless somebody else replyd in the meantime, which makes die "edited by" appear anyway. Hi I use downloads already to sell video files. Recently there has been some requests to start selling written stories. (small books). While I could simply create a category for it and allow these books to be sold in the downloads marketplace I am worried it will confuse people. The name of my market place is literally called "video store" which would confuse folks who see a book being sold there. I really don't want books showing up in the "Whats new list". What are my options? Can I start a second iteration of downloads app and have a second store called "book store"? I don't think it allows for this does it? Thank you in advance…

I've seen these widgets on some IPS sites. They could be outdated or retired add-ons, I'm not sure. I haven't been able to find these in the Marketplace. I thought I was pretty good at Pages but it seems not, since a fairly basic task is confusing me. My articles database is set to show as articles rather than as categories. It's sorted by publishing date with the newest items coming first: It's displaying exactly as I would hope. (I'm sorry that it's not in English but the dates are easy to recognise.) But I've just noticed when viewing a category that it's the older articles coming first: I double-checked using the default listing template set and got the same result: What haven't I understood? I can't see any other options for choosing the sort order.

Sometimes our moderators want other moderators to share their opinions. I know there is a status of 'Under Review' but we prefer use that to show a moderator is dealing with it. What we need is also a 'Input Needed' status - so it will encourage other moderators to share their opinions. We've already made improvements to the report center, so you can see the status of each report without having to open it (a simple improvement, maybe a suggestion for IPS?) but cannot work out a way to add another status?

Nick bought the "commerce" addon for the forums which mainly used for subscribtions. Now we need to add already existing premium members but we're running into an issue. If we just add them manually, they will not get an renewal invoice automatically when the subscribtion ends. To achieve this, we have to add the users by creating an invoice for them. No problem since we can set the invoice to "paid". If done this way, and the subscribtion is for one year, we can't adjust the expiration date during the invoice creation so the experiation date is automatically set to 1 year after today, which is in fact correct for new invoices.
