In my opinion, it would be great if there was an option in the group settings which disallowed IP logging. This would be useful for administrators, moderators, and groups for people that have a thing for privacy. A good reason to disable IP logging for admins/mods is that if a security breach ever occurs, the forum administration team will badly be affected (affected the most).

A long shot I know, but I'd love to see the gallery become a truly video-friendly place. > Automatic thumbnail option (generated from midway point in video perhaps) > Video compression options > Inbuilt video player, rather than relying on users browser's video player. Would be willing to pay for anyone who developed these features too.

When you have a section that has many subsections, it is impossible to go thru each section because it will collapse the tree each click and you have to find the section you were in and open in t again. it would be most helpful if there was a dynamic previous/next links at the end of the article on the content page

Hi, I think it could be useful to promote participation/contribution in our communities to have a "accomplished percent to next level/rank" in the ranks/badges users profile view. Of course it could be managed by arranging ranks as a percent of a total number of points, but if it is not the choice maded by the community's owners, the users will never have the opportunity to know "how far from next level" they are. This could be counterproductive because it may cause discourage from the users. Thankyou for your attention ! D

Hello, I noticed that Amazon S3 has been supported by IPS for quite a while now. Google's offering is argued to be cheaper and faster. Will IPS support Google Cloud Storage / Google Cloud CDN in the near future?

I honestly believe that IP.Board is one of the most complete platforms, but unfortunately its additional content (Downloads aside) needs more attention. In Gallery you can also upload videos as well as images, but in every button there is “Insert image”, wouldn't it be better to put “insert media”? (obviously where video content is allowed to load) Whenever a person uploads a video, the video doesn't have any thumbnails, I have no idea if with php you can extrapolate a frame from the video, but I sincerely believe it would take too much. Why not allow a custom thumb to be loaded? Maybe with FFmpeg? YouTube style, 3/5 thumbnails where the user chooses the best …

Hi! I have a few minor suggestions I think should be implemented, well, basically two features that would help a lot, not only for me I believe. 1a. Let's start with something I can't understand that isn't a feature yet. Custom formatting for Downloads Extra Fields. This would be highly useful for formatting different custom fields (which I use a lot of) and make them stand out. Just a small thing I've noticed: when reviewing installed applications under SITE FEATURES > Applications, the search field in the top-right corner of the listing doesn't work. I can enter a search term which includes the name (or partial name) of an application I know I have, and nothing comes up. Strangely, this option does work for plugins.

The multiquote button should be more in focus. No normal human being is expecting stuff related to posting and writing 10 foots away. Especially if a site has a site up button or other stuff on the right lower corner and a larger screen size it's getting hard to see.

Currently you can set two levels of personal data information access when you create a new field : . public : everyone can se it ; . private/restricted : only administrators & moderators can see it. Of course, create a secondary moderator group with no other right than to see private/restricted data may be some kind of a solution, but it is not a good idea, because some informations really needs to be visible only by moderators (like e-mail address). So I suggest you add a possibility to decide which groups can see the private data. It could be done by private data set (and not per data), but I think it is something that could be really useful. …

I would like to request a setting for me to receive email notifications for all actions taken on the forum. At the moment I have to manually select the follow topic button but I don't want to miss new posts/threads etc. I understand the utility of users opting in for updates but as an admin/moderator I want to know about everything happening on the site. Especially in the early days of my membership, it's important that I am responsive to my members. Thanks!

I tried using the PWA for this site (running the latest 4.6 beta) on my iPhone. The biggest issue is no BACK button is available in the PWA. Please consider adding a true BACK button in the navigation header that returns to the same position in the topic listing that you used to view the topic. The current navigation header "back" button simply goes to the first page of the topic listing (even if the topic being viewed is in the second or subsequent pages of the topic listing). Another related problem is that when you read a long topic, you have to scroll either all the way back to the top or use the link to the topic listing all the way to the bottom …
