I just discovered that every single forum (including closed moderator forums that people rotate in and out of and shouldn't have access to after they leave) had an RSS feed turned on. Now, I knew that Invision had an RSS feature. I had set up some RSS feed before and retrieved them. And I assumed (because I had no reason to think otherwise) that when I when to retrieve that RSS feed, and saw an addition RSS feed for the forum, that was just because all the forums I did that for were already publicly accessible so they also got an RSS feed by default. I never had any reason to click on the RSS button in a private forum to check if there was a feed for that forum, bec…

Some topics to moderate, which in my absence, users also write 30/40 posts, many users contacted me to ask myself why some posts I deleted have disappeared. Why not introduce a 'label', in which it is informed of the deleted post? These could be useful for a lot of things: Understand who deleted the post and maybe ask for information The user who reads the discussion understands why from one post to another we are talking about a topic that comes out of nowhere. Maybe insert an popovers with the motivation, if inserted.

Difference - Attached images with another extension, for example jpg have the following linking: .../uploads/monthly_2021_05/kx-tda0108.jpg.93be6c51631d0649e5db740cacf2551b.jpg Now attached webp images are linked like this .../uploads/monthly_2021_06/solaren-invertor_webp.8005f60e008d46e8ddf57b6adfcda5a7 ie missing ".webp" in the ednd, and this does no cache for this resourses

Hi! It's an issue I'm having for a long time and it would be great if you'd do something about it. The problem is that downloads are promoted to the first page every time they are edited. If you don't want that to happen there's nothing you can do about it. If you want to change some text but don't want an item to update it's position it's very unfriendly. As with adding those items as hidden, this would only need a switch while editing which would let you choose if you want to update them or you just want to edit them without them being promoted to the first page of their category. Thank you!

Hello guys, I noticed that writing long posts of the editor remains at the top and frankly I find this uncomfortable, it would be much better than when writing a rather long post inside the text there was a scrollbar so the toolbar remains fixed and does not serve scroll up and down. So in the ACP there are a few settings that require you to download and then ftp SFTP your constants file to the server. Could there ever be a way that the ACP could do this automatically? Since upgrading the site we never really have to download and upload any more?!

Fluid mode is excellent, however on larger forums like my own with multiple levels deep the sidebar spans 2 page scrolls. An expandable [+] sign would be helpful with the ability to select if the parent category displays all the sub-categories, or if they're collapsed and only displayed once [+] is pressed.

Hi, Audio notifications were removed from the 4.6 series. My suggestion is to add it back, as our users are missing this feature. Maybe adding an option in the user's account so they can enable/disable it on an individual basis? Cheers.

I've read a lot of topics criticising the activity stream feature and I find it utterly unuserfriendly as well. What was the logic behind this change? It seems like a case where someone was trying to fix something that already worked and made it worse. Like Microsoft and the whole Windows 8 debacle. Activity stream may be useful for a low traffic board and works on Facebook where you only get certain "posts" in your stream. But what is the point of having an activity stream on a high traffic board? It's so clumsy at what it should be doing. Instead of letting you know which topics have new posts so you can get up to date, you face an endless stream of new posts …

I didn't like the badges from when I first saw them. Now that they've been in place for a while, they look even worse. Plus, I have no idea what their purpose is. I have not updated my sites yet, probably in a few weeks. I will definitely not be using the new badge system.

Hi! There's a function when adding an article or even a blog that allows to add them as hidden/not published. For some reason it's not the case when adding a download item and either you need to add it with full description or you need to publish it and then set hidden which is a strange way to handle content on someone's website. So it would be great to be able to add a file as hidden, just a tiny switch when adding a downloads item would be perfect. Thanks 😉

The expanded view is a great teaser-feed to get people in, however people wanting to open the discussion now have too many other variables available for them to open. Who liked, who followed, last reply. The actual action of opening the thread is is now harder as that 1 link is moved in amongst all other available links and content. Making the entire post area clickable would make it easier to open the discussion. I've just highlighted in blue the area I'm suggesting, or that entire <div> block.

Hi, In USA everybody knows the VAT is to be added to what you buy, even in public stores so the shop logics are based on a "without VAT" price where the VAT is added at checkout... The Commerce module logic uses the same principle. Here in Europe we display prices "all taxes included", so the final price with the total amount of what you will have to pay, including VAT. My "problem" is that if I enable VAT management in commerce it is only a percent of the product value that is added to the "basic" (without VAT) price. It is the normal way VAT works, I agree, but it is not very useful. For europeans like me, it is a bit complex to got the exact total price…

ACP > Word Filters The word filters allow duplicate entries. For instance, if I create a filter: Replace: <this> With: <that> and then create the same filter again, the system will allow it, and we end up with two identical filters. IMO, the system should check if the filter already exists, and display an error saying that the filter already exists, and preventing us from creating it again. Thanks

Some users have been confused by the change from display names to email address on login. The text box says "email", but some users have ignored it. It would be helpful, if there was a checkbox option in the admin area to allow the appropriate label to be displayed above each login text box. The same would apply for resetting password, etc. By the way, we have placed a banner on the home page to draw attention to the change. Thanks. Dan
