I think it would be nice if we could control which tabs each admin could access in order to insure that only certain people could access certain of the more "touchy" options back there.

I really love the admin acp of 2.3 ibfversion. It's easy and clear to work on. , not the IBf 3.0 version. the admin cp is very tough. The font and color is hard to read, the options setting are so mystery. It's missing alot of features like the subscription and portal doesn't seem to have much option to choose. a few bug error. I was lucky that i was backup first before updated it. I'm using 2.3 again. and let see how's 3.0 improve . look forward for 3.1 through

Should be simple enough to explain. If someone uses tags in a post/PM/etc instead of an smiley, have those tags converted to the emoticon/smiley equivalents, with exception being if the person turns off emoticons in their post (because then obviously they are including them manually and know that their post contains items that would turn into smileys).

When uploading IP.Board 3.0.0 to my server, I noticed several thumbs.db files in the distribution package. They are present as of a couple of minutes ago. After doing a quick search in the .zip archive, I found a total the total of 14 thumbs.db files with a combined (uncompressed) filesize of 530 KB. While they don't pose a threat or concern, it might be worth removing them as they serve no purpose in the package.

I'd like the ability to create custom messages to be displayed at the top of the board if the member viewing the board meets certain conditions. Example: If member's posts is equal to 0, display message "You have not yet made a post, we encourage you to get involved, etc...". Show congratulatory posts when they reach a certain post count, show a certain message to users in a specific user groups, happy birthday, message regarding inactivity and encouraging the user to participate more, if user is using default skin let them know other skins are availalbe, etc... This topic reminded me of something > http://forums.invisionpower.com/topic/286583-chmod-back-after-instalation/ , its not a bug as its always been that way... I do think it would be nice if there was a remind on the last page of the upgrader / installer routing to warn you to chmod conf_global back down again. Perhaps a better option, a warning in the ACP (similar to the warning box about /install/index.php still being present) warning you conf_global is writeable. I know its already done in the security center ;) , but new admin's may not visit that section for a while. Just a passing thought :)

This is regarding the following "bug": http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=tracker&showissue=14538. Since this bug was marked as working as intended i guess its now a feature request. Although this really isn't a feature request cus i used to be in 2.3 fine but then got screwed in IPB3. Basically theres a few issues here, firstly when a admin turns IN_DEV mode theres no export of the master_css folder, it would be cool if this could be added to the skin tools as although c&p of the css_1 etc dir is a possible its a bit caveman (considering theres already a export php files feature). secondly which is related to the bug is that when the style sheets …

I just wanted to thank the staff for some great software. I have been using Invision for about 5 years now, and this has been the smoothest upgrade ever. Absolutely NO problems upgrading forum, gallery or blog. I have a rather large forum, and I was a bit concerned that I'd run into some problems, but I never did. It took me half the day, but I have everything set up just the way I like. Thank you all. :)

I like the login because my password manager is not filling in all the the time the details when I want to search for something without logging in. But... once looged in it's easy to click on "Sign Out" accidentally instead of Help or my username. Bang...I'm Out! Isn't it possible when somone hits "Sign Out" to warn her/him that it's the the end of the forum browsing,may change her/his mind?

I would like to see an option in the view topic section to be able to bump that topic to the top of the forum. This could also do with have permission settings available for all the groups, so maybe you will only want the admin and mods to be able to use this, or VIP members etc..

I've just discovered something that I'm wondering about. When you have skins already installed and you import a hook I'm wondering if when you install a new skin if you have to reinstall the hooks in order for them to be used in the skins. When you install a hook, the hooks are also installed into those skins that are currently installed. Do future installation of skins already check for what hooks are installed and import those hooks immmediately as you install the new skins?

I'm not for sure about anyone else, but this feature really does nothing for me as it stands. I would rather much see "Recently Added Replies" That way active topics are bumped in the list and I as a admin or member can see what's new, hot and active off the back and that would include new topics and replies. But just new topics alone is a stale feature imo. I mean you have no clue if it's an active topic or if it contains any replies. Kinda made you look for no reason joke right? Example:

I remember that there was once a thread that teach you how to enable back the top button just by a simple edit with the CSS style sheet. Anyone here can point me to that thread? Or do I have to submit a ticket to the technical support? :) PS: I'm not here to argue on whether to bring back the "TOP" button. I do respect the developer's decision.

Chrome is a modern browser, and I am not aware of any limitation concerning rich text editor. In gmail I can use it's rich text editor with google chrome just fine. Why not in IPB3?
