I've just discovered something that I'm wondering about. When you have skins already installed and you import a hook I'm wondering if when you install a new skin if you have to reinstall the hooks in order for them to be used in the skins.

When you install a hook, the hooks are also installed into those skins that are currently installed. Do future installation of skins already check for what hooks are installed and import those hooks immmediately as you install the new skins?

If this works in the same way it did in 2.3, new templates will be inserted to the master skin, and the skins will inherit from that. Once you've made changes to the template, it's nailed to that skin.

I'm hoping you are correct, M4rtin. I would just hate to have to reinstall everything all over again.
