1. Give user option to auto delete their oldest PM if their PM box is full so new PM is not hold back. If some message is imp to user they can move those messages to custom folder where PM stays forever until user deletes it. 2. Option to move Private Message to another folder while viewing messages. 3. Option to delete, read, unread and move (to customer folders) private messages after search. 4. Option to forward messages. Sometimes I don't want to show to whom I am forwarding message. Adding someone to conversation is best feature but forwarding is also needed.

With the expansion of the search system I would have thought that "Show advanced filters" would have been transplanted there. If the plan is to keep the advanced filters... can this be re-designed a bit to use space a little better? It's really large... and to be honest, I've never really liked the way it looked because it doesn't make good use of space. Could it be done in such a way that allowed the "custom fields" to use both sides of the column?

Ok I am going to try to explain this situation as best as I can and hopefully there will be a solution to it. I am from a quite popular forum and recently it switched over to IPB3. The problem is that if you are a CL of part of the board you can't view your own rating/warn status logs. Here's a quick overview of how the board is set up: King of Kings: founder of the forums and the boss. King: the bosses of the forums and can do anything. Probably asked before, but what happened to PM Archiving? People love to save old stuff and archiving allows this. Without that they hit the max message limit and are out of luck.

I remember when 2.0 first came out, it was sluggish to begin with but you got there in the end, all pages were loading in 0.1 seconds (depending on your server). 3.0.5 is slow loading compared. You go on a vbulletin, smf, invision 2.3 site, pages will more often than not load instantly. With Invision 3 you have to sit there for a split second while it loads. I read in another topic a member of staff said Neowin was doing well with speed - it's not, i know its a busy site but pages on there load between 0.3 and 0.6 seconds. Is there more queries slowing it down now? I don't know the ins and outs, but I think it's something you should work on before releasing 3.1. I upg…

I've got a couple requests from a developers point of view. [*]Would it be possible to build support in for Javascript, just like we have already for CSS, it would make it far easier for modifying & distributing. It really seems like a common sense expansion of the system too. [*]Member profile tabs, Could these be moved into the extensions directory of the application, again easier to distribute we can just package the applications own directory. More my members have had some complaints that default personal photo pixs 150x150 is pretty little. Yes, I can set up much more pixs but then profile's layout could be broken. Then suggestion - there could be two dimensions - little (150x150) - thumbnail as photo in profile, and when you click on photo You get second dimension - big (for example 600x600) as popup. Like in Gallery.

Searching for words sometimes is pain. I need translate for example word by to my language. But this word is in the many strings. If I search for that word I get 18 pages of results. I tried this: "by" but I got the same. Suggestion: If I search for by I should get results with all strings were is word by. If I search for "by" I should get results where are strings ONLY with this word. Then I get only about 8-9 result strings.

Allow user disable all image smilies. I know you can hide all images now, but that does just that. Some of my users wants to just disable craphical smilies, not all images.

when i started contributing in the forum i realized how important watching a topic is! but in over 99% of cases, people watch over a topic and not a forum.. so swap Forums and Topics so that Topics shows by default when the page loaded. who shares the same idea?

My board is set so users receive email to get validated then can post on forums. Recently members cannot get email from my boards and I even tested it myself. What can I do? I have no Support(My Administrator didn't pay for Support or add me to Alternative Contacts) so if you can please put this on exception since I really need this.

There's already a field for HTML code to include a profile field in the topic view. Be nice to have an HTML section for how to format the data in the members profile view. If empty, it would just display the information 'as-is'. This could then be used to easily add in support for additional services (either IM or websites) without having to edit the template bits. Currently, there are a bunch of if/else/if/etc nestings to check for AIM, ICQ, etc. But if it's for a service not pre-supported, then unless the admin modifies the bit, it will just show the data as it was entered. When I create a Custom Profile Field and Link the Content of the Field to a Website, that happens only on the Topic View. For example: Profile Field Name: Playername Content: Dagobert Topic View Format: <span class='ft'>{title}:</span><span class='fc'><a href="playerdatabse/{content}">{content}</a></span> Of course the Link is only on the Topic View because I only can change that View Format. Hi, are there any plans for supporting XMPP (also know as „Jabber“) in the future? XMPP could be a great alternative for the email notifications: The user could receive a short message and link to incoming new private messages or changes in subscribed threads and blogs. Group chat is also possible. This would also increase the integration with other services, as XMPP is the foundation of the facebook chat (alone more than 400 million members), GoogleTalk, iChat and various other. Hello Invision Power community, I recently installed IP Board into my Linux Server, with all the Requiremnts met. And all the CHMOD done correctly, i get these Errors , typos and other stuff. For example: 1. This one while logging in. 2. Why cant i add Reply with the Buttons for Bold, and other BB codes. 3. When i hit Edit button, it doesnot let me Quick Edit it, It takes me to the next page with Full Editor. and much more problems Any Help will be appreciated, Thank you.

I don't use the wysiwyg editors but I still like to be able to highlight some text and use keyboard shortcuts, such as Apple + B for bold, etc. Any chance we can get this included please? Anyone else think it's a good feature? Also, when clicking on any of the icons I think it would be better if the cursor moves to the middle, instead of the whole block being highlighted. So if we have some text in our clipboard we just need to click on quote and apple+v. Rather than quote, click in the middle to put our cursor there, and then apple+v.

Right now it's possible to block a single IP and an 'IP range' using 192.168.2.* or similar, but there is no (easy) way to block the IP range 192.168.2.1 - 192.168.77.255 for instance. Could this be done? Thanks in advance.

It would be nice if we could have a "collapse" button for the quoted text in the report center that shows the reported post's content. For longer posts, it makes it easier to get down to the moderator discussion portion.

I think the user should have the option to upload an image from the computer to attach it to a signature. The option is available for photos and for avatar but not for signatures...
