ddluk1
I would like to have an option to use quote in fast replay. I know that I can use normal replay but fast replay as the name says is faster :)
3DKiwi
I think if that was added the page loading would make it just as slow as pressing the Quote Reply button. Personally I just manually copy the text to be quoted and use the quote tags from the Fast Reply toolbar. 3DKiwi
.Ian
Would also like to see 'quick quote' - used to it on our previous software. Mind you, I would also like to see, quick reply from any post to save having to scroll down the page.
Wolfie
I would like to have an option to use quote in fast replay. I know that I can use normal replay but fast replay as the name says is faster :) Not to be a turd, just wanting to point this out since you may be unaware of it, but it's "reply" not "replay". As for the request, it seems like everyone wants tons of features centered around the fast reply area. At this rate, people will be requesting everything to be included there, EVEN the kitchen sink. "Wow, I need to change my display name.. I can do it from the fast-reply box!"

"Wow, I need to change my display name.. I can do it from the fast-reply box!" Upsss, sorry for mistake :) You've got the right about that tons of futures, but in other scripts there is that option. After migrating from phpbb2 my users are disappointed that there no option to quote in fast reply :)
Wolfie
Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly against this suggestion, just that everyone keeps making suggestions to 'beef up' the fast reply function and there's only so much that can be stuffed into it before it's so bloated that it explodes. After migrating from phpbb2 my users are disappointed that there no option to quote in fast reply :) phpBB2 doesn't even have a fast reply feature by default. In fact the only forum software that I know has a quote post in fast reply feature is vB, and like 3DKiwi said it probably takes about as long to load the quote in the fast reply area as it would to load the normal posting page. 3DKiwi
Mind you, I would also like to see, quick reply from any post to save having to scroll down the page. I agree. I edited the skins and added my own Fast Reply button. That's hooked to a script to scroll to the bottom of the page. It's essentional a "Bottom" button. 3DKiwi

Well based on 4 years of experience: it doesn't take that long.
Tanax
How about an extra button in the quick reply with a "load quotes" which loads the quotes with AJAX. No need to reload the page then to get multi-quotes.
Invisiοnist
I hope for a quick reply that updates without being redirected. vB has it, IPB is way better so it should have it as well. In fact most things on IPB causes it to go to a redirect page.. I hope it just automatically updates soon because it looks way nicer imo. And it saves time and probably queries too. (Instead of loading a whole page it just loads that one reply/post) Also I think that it should have selective quoting defaulted as well. Its a really nice feature...
