Some people who've come to my site are new to forums, and whilst I was on vBulletin I had a FAQ section which they include with the download. You also had the ability to make and create your own FAQ's. It's something I've seemed to have lost since switching to Invision. =( I know in PHPBB you can also do this by uploading texts to your FAQ directory and it reads them and dumps them into a page. I was wondering if Invision was planning on releasing a FAQ utility that people can create their own FAQ's with and/or have FAQs with the software so that when people visit a site powered by Invision Power Board they can read through the FAQ's instead of posting a rediculuous am…

I see you have now included a section for Album Member's Gallery on the main board index and I think it looks ugly. Why not put that nice border (picture frame) round the thumbnail and also include 4-5 clickable random or last posted images in the empty space in the last column (Last post info)

Instead of a button that includes the secondary groups in the counts - Can you add two columns - Secondary Groups "Additional Groups" and a "Total Column" that adds the Primary & Additional.

when looking at the system scheduler it appears that its is Set for GMT and not my local timezone as set by ACP of the server - It' is very cruel to make us do timestamp conversions when we are not fully caffeinated.

I propose that all actions be listed in a universal activity stream, including status updates, profile comments (these should be merged with status updates), blog posts, downloads, gallery images, everything except forum posts. I notice people often post their stuff in multiple locations in my site. A gallery image will also have a blog, or a download file will have a post in the showcase. I understand people want to make sure their work is seen, and it might slip by unnoticed otherwise, but it seems redundant. I have tried multiple ways of showing all recent content. I know this was possible years ago but no longer possible. I want if you install the IP.Portal for it to run as the root of your site. I want this because Ip.content is not capably of doing this. Have Ip.Portal run from domain.com and no other urls point to it so it makes it a true portal. Not a sub portal like it is now. The forum is also located at domain.com/forums.

I love the addition of Lightbox with the last major version upgrade, however, a lot of my users are complaining because some of the images are too big for their monitors and they aren't able to view the whole picture at once because lightbox doesn't resize for the resolution like most browsers do when the image opens in it's own page... It'd be WAY better if lightbox would auto-resize to the viewer's screen size, and I understand that technology is available. Also, when I have lightbox turned off so images open full-browser, they open in the same window, so you have to hit "back" and some of my users are closing the forum by accident... Went to delete posts made by a spammer in the Admin area. In haste to stop the flood I forgot to click one of the 4 delete options before clicking enter. After clicking I got an IPB error saying "System Error - You're an idiot" NICE! :huh:

Hi IP Board Guys! I am wondering why all the Statistics include a "Daily" Time Scale option except the Topic View? I LOVE using the Statistics feature, and to be honest, I wish you would also included a Site Analytics for your site. I have found it to be immensely helpful on our other sites. It allows me to track how many visitors I get per day, how many hits per day, how users get to our site, where they live, which browsers they use, etc. Perhaps you can include this on the next version (hint, hint!). I was just thinking why Calendar is part of the default IPB package and not an application in it's own right. I would have thought this product would do well as an application similar to gallery and blog. This is a product that I feel is kind of taking a back seat and may warrant a bit more attention. Seperating it out from the main package may help with that. Thoughts?

I like knowing how many hits these various spiders have sent to my server, but I cannot keep 100k+ records on top on my forum with spider hit after hit. Is there anyway during the removal that the count can be stored? But the records destroyed? So I can keep like a counter of weekly spider hits, monthly and soon yearly?

Could I suggest a change to the permissions for Super Moderators and ask that the ACP settings for Soft Delete be made optional for Super Moderators, rather than compulsory. I, and I assume other's too, run my forums with a bunch of "global" moderators. I like to give them as much power as I can to enable them to manage the forums professionally, but the one thing that I don't want them to be able to do is permanently delete things. This protects me from a moderator-gone-bad trashing the forums, protects the moderators from accidentally deleting things, and protects the members' content from being destroyed. Please consider making the deletion ACP settings optional …

Maybe it's just my "expectation" of what the separate chat window should do, but it doesn't close the window when you leave chat, it just reverts to the forums home. Not a complaint as such, just wondered if other people (and my users) would expect a similar behaviour (closing window on chat exit)? I have just installed the 1.2 chat in all of our 4 servers, it works fine, I just can't edit the settings in the admin section. Instead, I am getting this error message. Would, please, anyone have idea, how this could be resolved? Well exactly what the the title describes. Sadly we've experienced a rogue moderator, and without logs telling what post got edited like it would if they edited a title, it's a little hard to pin down and prove. Or we need the ability to force the "edited by" legend on to even super moderators. Or we need the ability to allow those not in the super moderator group to not just delete individual post, but topics. There seems to be a number of ways to get this action accomplished, and maybe even better options then I've stated here. In the end we just need the accountability. I have IP Chat 50 users licence but i end up disabling it and changed to another chat for my page; members did'n like that font options to change color, size, type, was not there. It leads to confucion because everyone is using one color. I would like to see that feature added to IP Chat. thanks

Previously on vBulletin with a third party chat, I noticed several people finding the site because they looked for "[keyword] chat". Could you incorporate a simple SEO option panel into the next release? 1. Title override. 2. mod_rewrite to ../chat 3. Keyword/Description override.

I contacted technical support because I thought the ACP Member Search function wasn't working correctly. It turned out it wasn't a bug but a serious shortcoming in the User Interface when there are no matches for the search results. I was looking at my member list working with various search criteria to shortlist dormant accounts that could safely be deleted.
