Preset halodays in calendar

I don't like having to go in and add holidays for my calender is there a way this can be a preset feature ?

I don't think it would be a good idea to add them into the database, but it might be neat to have them on the calendar somehow... Maybe add a feature that would display calendar events, not in the database, from an XML file that can be accessed from a remote source and cached. That way someone could have an XML file of all the holidays and one could simply add it to their AdminCP. And you could update the cache it generates from that file manually in AdminCP.

Yes, having holday packs available somewhere for download would be nice.. US, Canada, UK, Christian, Jewish, etc. This way you could pick the holiday pack(s) you wanted to use.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but this is about all that showed up when searching for this topic.
I didn't see any settings or anything for this..
Anyone know if there are any holiday packs or similar presets that you can use to load in Holidays en masse to the Calendar, or do you have to add them one by one?

Excellent idea! I went to timeanddate.com to get a list of all the holidays and manually installed them.

Just thought i bring this back up, as well as im sure we would all like to see some new features in the calendar itself.

I guess ill just be doing this manually for now. Timee Consuming....

Good on ya!

It would be pretty hard for IPS to create packs with each holiday in each region. If they miss one than you get "Well you guys clearly are neglecting x or y group of people"

True, I think having the feature to import/export events via XML would be the way to go, then you could just import a regional list of public holidays from the Market Place.
