This is an idea that occurred to me. With Blog, the function is built in to dynamically change the header to the Blog owners name, such as "Andy's Blog" How about adding this functionality to the Look / Feel section so you can easily adjust the wording on the board's logo. :smile: I would speculate the functionality is almost already there to do this as its done in Blog already. I would suggest the wording should be in the Look / Feel tab 'section' for this if it gets implemented as the board owner may not want the full name in the header, depending on the site name. I have setup a test conversion from UBB.threads 7.5 to IB.Board 3.1.4 There where a few problems with the conversion system but after filing a ticket, I got great support! The conversion scripts have been fixed and improved and now the convertor works like a charm. I can recommend everybody who is now using UBB.threads and does not like the version 8 drama, to convert to IP.board. Kind regards, Michel

I know you can directly change your profile pic while viewing your profile, but as a new user, I went nuts trying to find exactly where to change it. I would suggest allowing the user to also have the ability to modify the pic in the "Settings" menu itself, along with the current pic displaying as reference for the user to see what he/she is changing. :D P.S. This is regarding IPB v3.2

Hi, It would be nice if skins, hooks, files etc., could all be sorted on IP.B version. So potential purchasers could quickly see as to which files work with 3.2 I am not aware of this being possible (no obvious link etc.) Mind you on the version number - it would be nice if instead of a text box, version numbers were selectable, so that authors could tick the versions that their app or skin worked with. Thanks.

That's the way it is now: It works for English language. But doesn't work for vast majority of foreigner languages out there, like Portuguese. See how it is tranlsted in Brazilian Portuguese and beside what we can do using a fixed word (past): ÚLTIMAS 24 HORAS -> right ÚLTIMAS SEMANA -> WRONG: right is ÚLTIMA SEMANA ÚLTIMAS 2 SEMANAS -> right ÚLTIMAS MÊS -> WRONG: right is ÚLTIMO MÊS ÚLTIMAS 6 MESES -> WRONG: right is ÚLTIMOS 6 MESES ÚLTIMAS ANO -> WRONG: right is ÚLTIMO ANO We need this to be changed. Hi, I would like to propose a new feature for IP.Board. I've noticed that on my old PHPbb forum the system was sending warnings in case somebody replied on a post while I was writing my reply. Sometimes it happens that you are replying something but somebody else reply faster than you and your message is not longer up to date with the discussion. Thanks :)

Custom pages. All I want to do is create a page around my forums wrapper, so it fits just like the forums does. We always have to rely on mods to do it but the one available isn't good enough - it doesn't allow me to use php.

The div I'm talking about is <div class='center' style='padding: 1px;'><img src="{$this->settings['base_url']}module=system&section=charts&days=7" alt="{$this->lang->words['reg_trends_chart']}" style='width:98%;' /></div> I'm fiddling around with changing that graph using the Google Charts API and it would make my life a lot easier if that <div> had an id attribute :) At the moment I rely on it being the only <div> on that page with the 'center' class which isn't ideal for obvious reasons. jQ('.center img').remove(); jQ('.center').attr('id', 'cit-db-chart'); Ta in advance :)

i think there should also be an option to set whether i want to auto follow topics started by me. unless im confused and the option to auto follow all topics i reply to is included in that. if thats the case that settings wording needs some adjusting. if the former, there should be the option to have every topic i start auto followed and be able to select if i want it right away, every day, etc like the other option. on a diff note, i think by default it should be that everyone has it set to auto follow every topic they start. i know many of times ive run across a forum for something i need at the time and made a post only to forget about it quickly and never know if t…

i still think that there should be a quick button at the top of the "edit profile" page or at the very lest put it in the breadcrumb.. going up to the user bar at the top to select the drop down, then select "my profile" seems unnatural and not quick enough..

The current soft delete feature is very useful! You can temporarily 'hide' messages from users with the ability to 'unhide' messages (or delete and restore). The moderators with the correct permissions get to see the deleted post. However, the deleted post disappears completely from view without a trace. This creates a negative tone towards regular users that moderators may actually delete posts they don't like, which isn't good. Moderators get a trace of the message, however regular users do not. In the topic list for a forum there is a little tag picture next to those topics that have tags assigned to them, but at the moment this picture doesn't 'do' anything. So, rather than just adding what must be a good 1kb of bloat to the topic list :ohmy:, could it possibly have another little hovercard that shows the list of the assigned tags and then perhaps allow you to click on a tag to search by it? :flowers: x

I think it would be a good way to get the latest hooks/apps from the marketplace if we added a "Recently Modified" filter along with "Most Recent, Most Popular, Highest Rated". I see that we can organize it using the "custom" option but that includes description edits too. "Recently Modified" would be for files that were actually updated.

I've seen some people asking about the ability to transfer their demo forum over to their purchased license or hosting account, and thought it might be a good idea for IPS to offer this value added service along with some notification to let people know that they can save any changes they make to the demo to save time after they make their purchase. Such a tool would be useful for promoting product purchase by letting prospective customers know they're not just wasting time with a temporary installation, that they can in fact make a solid start on their own board using the demo install offered by IPS.
