Hello everyone, one thing my users missed the most was an easy way to upload a picture to their signatures. They way through other uploadsites is quite a bit messy and unnecessarily complicated. Now that you got rid of the avatars and streamlined the process maybe you could add an easier way to get images into ones signatures? Something along other forumsoftware would be great where you can simply upload pictures like you do with avatars/photos. Thanks for your attention. Kindest regards, Ikadon

Seriously, this is the most useful CSS class EVER. Thank you, IPB, for caring enough to clean up and improve the CSS for people like me. 3.2 is miles better than 3.1 in most respects, but in this one especially. <3

I looked at places to ask this but couldn't find a place that fit the question exactly. It involves current IPS policy on embedded links in third party content such as mods and skins. I stopped buying and/or installing skins and mods from the UPS site when some of my forum members pointed out that some of the skins I paid for on IPS had embedded links to external sites such as online casinos. That wasn't conducive to the family friendly atmosphere I was trying to create for the small community where I live. I guess what I'm asking is what the IPS official policy is on third party developers using embedded links in their content of the nature I found in the skins I bought.…

Can you provide an option to make the Quote and Multiquote buttons vanish just like the Quote button works on the blog comments? I like the way they stand out on hover and will encourage the users to use the Fast reply area at the bottom of the page. Why is the simple "highlight with mouse, right click, copy, then right click, paste" option gone from this new version, why do I have to use the "Paste From Word" button ??, I have a simple counting game going on in my forum, easy way was to copy the last post, paste it in the next post and edit the last digit, a lot more complicated to do that now, perhaps newer is better, but everything seems to get more complicated instead of easier, just my 2 cents, cheers Pete

I tried searching for a specific topic about this, but couldn't find any. So if this has already been brought up, then I apologize and if needed, delete this topic. If not, then my suggestion is mainly about bringing back the 'Media' button to the editors immediate menu. I understand it's in the 'Special BBCode Menu', but it takes 3 extra clicks to begin using it. My members, as well as myself, use the Media BBCode just as much as we use the IMG BBCode, so it would help us tremendously if the Media BBCode was put back along with the others just like it is in 3.1.4, see screenshot below: 3.1.4 I'm pretty sure there's more than enough room to add one more extra butto…

I LOVE this feature however to me it seems to me to be the wrong way around. I have user's that are in multiple groups, I want the Staff group to be able to see certain tabs, yet the staff exist in other groups that i dont want to have access. I have figured out a way around this, however it would be nice to just be able to select groups that have access rather than groups that don't :)

This isn't a big issue, but I just noticed it on 3.2.0 When viewing a pm, and there are many replies, it's breaking them up into pages. When you get to the third page of replies.... it's taking three more page loads and clicks to see the newest message. So rather then clicking the notification and being taken to the new message, you now have to click "next page" twice to get to the newest message and read it. It would be my suggestion to either have them all on one single page and just scroll as in the past, or have it take you to the page with the unread message when clicking the notification of a new message. Thoughts?

Hello! I just deployed 3.2 to our dev test area, and just learned about the sadness that is removing Avatars. I understand the logic and support it even however, this has crippled us in an area. We have custom badges we make for our forum members that are 200x330. We used avatars for this, and people love them and have grown very adapted to them. However, in 3.2 it forces a crop down to a square image, that is so small this badge is unusable for its purpose. Is there a way that we can add in settings to control where images are forced to be cropped? IE during forum postings it isn't cropped? Or disable it all together? When starting a topic on the forum this is my main view without scrolling: If I click the Smiley button it acts like noting happened because I don't see the pop up at the bottom. Similarly this happens when posting too. I would like to suggest that when you click the Smiley button, the browser will automatically scroll down to show the Smiley's so the user can choose them without the need for scrolling. Would this be possible to implement into 3.2?

I'm the kind of guy that likes to be early and take my time with things so I don't have to rush or be without something. When I'm going somewhere, I get there early so I can take my time and enjoy the scenery. When I'm shopping for groceries, I like to buy bulk of what I need early so I save money and won't have to worry about it for awhile. I currently have the tags hook enabled, but it's quickly growing and will soon contain too many tags to keep it enabled. It would be nice if the admin could limit the number of tags to show in the hook and then arrange it based on the most popular from that limit.

The integration of guest posts in the new comment system is just horrible! They can't give their name, for instance. It is just filled in with "Guest" ... I mean, how inexpedient is this? And in IP.Content blocks, which fetch comments, there stands nothing as the name. Its like: "Newest comment to this blog entry by" ???

looking at all the bugs in CKE in the 3.2 version of IP Board I have asked myself this question many times... so I will ask IPS now..... What was wrong with the old editor? Why the change to something with so many quirks and bugs? I know this was tested over and over, but it's not just IPS that is having issues with this editor, go check their dev site and you will see hundreds of bugs and issues with it. Looking for an honest answer as I saw nothing wrong with the old editor personally, but maybe I'm missing something here? The editor is so critical in using a forum, and needs to be flawless in my opinion in order to keep members active and posting.

If the "Poke" feature would be available on invisionboard, just as the one from facebook, i believe it could awaken some 'lost' members. For example, on my community, people know each other, they hang out with their motorcycles from time to time, so they are more buddies than friends. Also, i suggested some time ago, tagging topics and photos with friend's names or community members would also be appreciated.

Hi, I have noticed that running an upgrade any custom template bits and indeed changes to any skin template are removed. Well the additional template bits are not removed, but the content of them are deleted. Any reason for this? Would it please be possible for the upgrade script to leave previous skins alone - whilst they will not work with 3.2 if people have made changes, they do not really want to lose them. Sure one could export any skins before you start, and then delete and re-import them, but I can't see too many people doing this. Thanks.

Hello, This is just an idea, but wouldn't it look better if in the IPS Marketplace, we first had an option to choose which version of IP.Board we're running ? What i mean by this is 2 categories instead of 1 global, one for the 3.1.x and one for the 3.2.x , this would give a cleaner look to the marketplace, rather than having to see each mod's version compatibility. - Jeuhen

I pressed the "Auto Installer" button in Client Area since i'm IPS hosted. So the IPS team uploaded the files but now my forum and admin CP is broken with all sorts of database and PHP errors. Waiting for an email or explanation on why my install is screwed and instructions to complete upgrade. Although, in Admin CP it now says "Unfinished Upgrade" so it seems when they uploaded 3.2.0 files it messed things up even though I was the one who was suppose to do the actual upgrade. Does a lot of people use the hosted services anyone else had this issue?

There seems to be too many places to go in the ACP to adjust all the settings of a hook or application, I wish all the relevant settings for an app exist in the app itself including the hooks (on off) and other options provided by the app. there seems to be a lot of ACP acrobatics to configure an App. - I would like to call for a one stop shop for HOOK organization in that I mean for all hooks that produce a visual output such as a side bar block on the index - There are many hooks that have no such output, but are listed there making it harder to determine the true order of what will display on the index.
