I'm running the latest beta and am seeing all broken images in the theme editor. I checked the image file permissions and they seem to be correct. Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to correct it?

I just love almost everytning I have seen about the upcomming v4, but there is one thing that I find really anoing: The activity stream is great for discovering new content on all areas of the community, but when I want to go to the Next page of the activity stream or change the filter, I get the following error: "Sorry, there is a problem Please wait 4 seconds before attempting another search Error code: 1C205/3" I hope there will be a solution for this before the final release since I plan to make the activitystream the main page for users when they log in.

I´m very pleased with gallery 5.0.5 in IPS 3.4.7 Now when I tested the Beta 4, the gallery add underlines between every space in Title. The search engine could not find anything when I search in gallery because the underlines. Why are gallery adding underlines? Is there any way to remove this function?

I am using file zila to instal ip board and i have to fill in the host section, how do I obtain this info. I am laso assuming that for the user name and password you use the IP account.

So, I tried first upgrading v4 Beta 3 to Beta 4 and the results were that I could not sign into the site, but I could sign into the admin panel. If I signed in it would just refresh and still stay at Guest. Then, I decided, "well, oh well, after all it is a beta" and deleted the database and recreated one, then a whole fresh new install. Same thing occurred. Could only successfully sign in to ACP, but not Forums, Downloads, or anywhere, it would just refresh and still as a guest. Notice I had no issues with Beta 3, only severe problems with Beta 4

On mobile, the "Next"-button is pretty much useless since you can already click the next page number. You could remove "Prev" too. Instead I want go to last and first page buttons. You wouldn't have to write it all out, but could use icons, something like << and >>. Because currently I find it to tedious to navigate to the first and last page on a mobile in long topics and I often do this. Before I could just switch to the full version in order to more easily navigate, but I can't do that anymore since design is responsive.

We sell memberships that expire on december 31 of the year they are purchased. IP.Nexus subscriptions currently can only be created for a time period, not with a set expiration date. I think the following options should be added to subscriptions. Set Date (mm-dd-yyyy): The subscription would expire on this date unless renewed by the subscriber. Recurrent Date (mm-dd): The subscription would expire on this date each year. This would prevent us from having to edit the subscription each year. I have been trying to install IPS Suite 4.0 beta 3 on my localhost for testing purpose, however on the first step when it asks me to enter key, once I enter it "key-TESTINSTALL" it says; "There was an error communicating with the IPS License Server. Please try again later or contact IPS technical support for assistance." What should I do to for this now?

Looking at the new template editor I am really missing the old template tag overview column where I could easily pick out any variables of my databases. Is that really gone? Is there some other place or way to see these variables? In addition, the template logic has changed significantly. Is there any documentation for interacting with IPBoard 4 via RESTful api endpoints? Currently I get the impression I can't start new topics when I visit a forum on mobile. I have to first scroll down the entire page, which would not be very likely that new members would understand. I mean, shouldn't this button be a "call to action" in any forum?

I've upgraded a copy of my production 3.4.7 to 4 beta 4b on my test server. What happens when a subscription comes up for renewal on the test server? My members aren't double charged are they? I'm assuming not because subscriptions are managed via PayPal but just wanted to make sure.

I noticed others, like myself, were having some minor difficulties related to the email settings in IPS4. 1) Check what email your are using in the "From" field. Some hosts only allow that email to be one that is created in cPanel, as opposed to an outside service. 2) If you are having time out errors related to your SMTP settings, contact your host. My previous host never restricted certain ports, but the one I am currently using had the port Mandrill uses closed which was resulting in those errors. Both of those fixed both the PHP and the SMTP email settings for me, hopefully it will help someone else too.

I, for the life of me, cannot find where a forum description is stored in forums.forums - assuming that is where it is. I've rolled through nearly all the other db fields throughout the entire suite and can't seem to find it. Same for rules, though I do see the rules toggle in forums.forums. Note that I can see how to call this stuff in the templates but I want to know where it lives in the db. Also learned the hard way that the forum description is a full html aware field, including images, embeds, etc. Didn't expect this level of functionality there. Thanks

I want guests to only be able to see members blogs So I have guests able to access the site but they can not see forums or the calendar Where do I set the permissions for guests to be able to see blogs? I can t find it. The edit guests does not give permissions, edit permissions only allows forums and calendar Please advise

I think I suggested this in a topic on the preview board but my mind has been all over the place lately... Something I've gotten used to and actually really like about an Enterprise CMS tool I use at my day job is hitting "ctrl+s" to save anything I'm working on within the CMS: forms, text editors, code boxes, etc... all save that way. I would love to see this simple, yet effective shortcut work in the ACP of IPS. I wouldn't go as far as it being a shortcut for posting on the public side of IPS as I'd rather just keep that simple for public users but for me and other admins I think this would be a great little add-on.

We are currently using IPB 3.4.7 and the latest Nexus and we are getting lots of feedback from people complaining that it's too complicated to complete a purchase with a coupon in our store. Apparently they are having difficulty finding how to enter their code. Honestly, I can easily believe this but I always felt it's not very user friendly. I don't think people should have look for a place to click to say they have a coupon before entering it. The textbox for the code should always be displayed on screen just above the total amount so people would know right away where to enter their coupon code. Will this be changed in the new version or is it going to work the same…

With all the topics and posts complaining about what changed and is missing in 4.0, I would also like to say thank you for the actual improvements, which are mostly unmentioned. For example: for my new site and am currently setting up a complete directory in Pages – with people, companies, books, events …from my field of interest. This only became possible through some new 4.0 features. Especially: category-specific fields! I can now set up fields like “birth year”, “ISBN”, “size of company” … in one database and have those fields only show in the appropriate category. Great!reviews! Listing content is one thing. When upgrading to a new version in the 4.0 beta AdminCP you require the IPS account username and password, but that is not always a practical solution to keep the community software up to date. In my own case I not only have my own license but I'm also an administrator on another license owner site, with full admin permission, and I do all the site management on my own. When a new version is available I have to contact the staff of the owner to ask them to download new version and make it available to me. This is very impractical in my own case.
