Not loving the time it takes to manually upgrade by running SQL queries from shell one by one. Any chance the auto-generated SQL files will come back so a lot of queries can be run at once? (like previous versions)

Made a quick free hand image to show a simple but effective change on New Content -> All New Content. When you search by tags (by cicking on a tag), you have the content and an image to identify it: My suggestion is to reuse this image on New Content -> All New Content. Something like that: Or add the image before the content title. This is to make this screen easiest to identify what you want or don't want to read. Thank you.

Hi, I tried to upgrade my v3.4.7 trial site to beta 2 with a subdomain (prueba.invisionhispano.com) and it has been impossible... Now, I'm trying to install in a subfolder (invisionhispano.com/prueba) and I'm having a problem with the licence. The licence don't let me install in the subfolder as it says that the licence is active. The licence was used in the subdomain but I have deleted ALL the files from the subdomain prueba so it can't detect anything active not the live site... How should I do for IPS to allow the licence for the new subfolder ?

Is anyone else having issues with file transfer, as in downloading beta releases that are corrupt? I have come to think my big issues are either with Time Warner as my ISP or BitComet as my download accelerator. But lately it is averaging out to 1 in 3 downloads are corrupt.

I create a database used by the page. This page is general - Advices. I create this database in three categories - each for different telecommunication equipment. By creating them no problem. To facilitate the creation of Records, I create three fields of type 'Select box'. Each box contains 10 values. Problem that occurs and I find no solution is: I want each category having only one additional field. In the case which I described, the three fields are valid in all three categories. I think that there is an option if the developers consider for a decision of such a case. What my idea - Each field has permissions - which I think is totally unnecessary. Its functionality …

Hello, Every so often I'm finding it multiple times a day, the suit takes awhile to load becuase of the prettify.css after investergating I found this url every so often takes 5-10 seconds to load https://google-code-prettify.googlecode.com/svn/loader/prettify.css (always had issues with googlecode on Telstralargest Australian ISP) In short is there a way to bring that file local.

For example, when I have... Home > Forum > Subforum > Topic Title (current page) ...is it possible to remove the current page? I suppose it's doable by editing the "breadcrumb" template but I'm not sure what exactly to delete there. Any ideas? Thanks!

When clicking the search box in the upper right it defaults to "all content" instead of auto-selecting the application you're in (ie: Marketplace -> files, bug tracker -> bugs) etc. It creates an extra step. More often than not when I'm in the marketplace (downloads) I'm interested in searching for a specific file, I don't seem to think to change the content type before hitting search, so after it returns results I have to select "Files" from the left. But it would still require an extra step even if I did change the content type before results are returned. I would prefer it to default to searching in the application I'm in and save a few clicks curious what ev…

In the System > Search Engine Optimization, I get the message You are not running Apache and will be required to manually configure the appropriate rewrite rules for your webserver software. Links on your site will not work until you do this!\ I'm using litespeed it runs the same rewrite rules as apache just want to know how can I find what to put into my .htaccess file.

Hey guys, for IP Pages, I have set the "articles template" to "category articles" to make my articles look more like a blog format instead of a table. However, this only works for the articles.html page view. When I click on the actual category to view in the articles, it displays as a table. Anyway to get ALL of my categories to display like the "category articles" template which looks like a blog, not a table? Thanks for the help!

I made a backup of my 3.4.6 installation and successfully upgraded it to 4.0.0 beta 8 on my localhost (MAMP). Everything seems to be running fine, but old emoticons are not shown as images. If I write a new post or edit an old one, they are shown correctly. Is this a bug? Upgrade went fine, no errors at all. All background processes are finished.

As it is at the moment there is no real article system in v4 as was in v3. I am not sure if it is to ship with one when it finally goes gold but if it does I can would suggest something similar to the above mockup for presenting articles in mobile format, possibly with 2 blocks displayed side by side when in landscape mode? At the moment the current templates for blocks are all over the shop on my test site. I think that when Pages does finally get released it should in the very least come with basic article display blocks included.

There's a setting called "Number of posts a member must have before allowing them to change their member title" in 3.4.7 which I can't seem to find in 4.0 anymore. Any ideas on how I can adjust this?

can we have ssl support for both Pull API and Push API? as i can see there is no ssl for this: https://community.invisionpower.com/applications/contributorcenter/interface/api/pull.php and also for Push API it would be great if we had an option to active checking the ssl certification or even we can upload a public key there, huh? no ssl is not so ok for this purpose IMO

hello, i have a recommendation for you, most of the people who will use IPB 4.0 will have to upgrade their systems, and the main problem will be the mods and hooks. what i recommend is that in the upgrader itself you will either have a button to stop all the hooks or a messege for the users to disable the hooks. that way you will have less bugs and reports and the upgrade will work better and maybe faster.

For code 4 we use "register account, but immediately mark as banned". Can you also have this action empty their profile as well (like the flag as spammer option)? Reason being, if you have a lot of custom profile fields that can be filled out on registration (including website url, etc) these fields are filled in with "spam" (porn sites, marketing, etc). Would be nice to have that cleared in addition to being banned.

I see the way to post images now is to paste the link, double hit enter and the image shows up where as 3.4.7 you have to enter or use the pop up box. The problem I have is that after a couple of warnings from adsense about images on the site I have had to change the image code from to [image] so that all old images don't show, manually going through 700k posts wasn't really an option. I'm not seeing any BBCode options in 4 unless I'm blind, will my image code be reverted to and all old images restored? will I have to and can I disable the new way of posting an image or will it be fine and no older images will be affected? Hope that makes sense, kinda does in my head…

Hello, On this site is it just me or when clicking on the editor to make a reply on mobile it zooms in like this? As I'm waiting until next week to buy a licence (damn exchange rate the Aussie dollar lost alot stuffing up my plan to buy this week) Can anyone tell me if this is an option that you can turn off the zooming in.
