When we upgrade our existing 3.4.x sites to 4.0, will existing fields in our databases be preserved? The reason I ask is because I notice in the articles system inside of Pages 4.0, the Teaser Paragraph field seems to be absent. I use this field often on my site and don't want to lose it. I've also added a few other fields to my default articles database that I would like to have preserved. I don't mind having to redo my blocks and pages, but I do want to keep the data in those fields.

Does any Chrome user here, who is testing IPB 4.0 got problems with slow ACP loading after longer working in it? I'm seeing that after some time in ACP of IPB 4.0 Chrome loading ACP pages slowly - exactly CSS styling - I see ACP page, but with normal checkboxes instead of fancy button switches for some options and I'm seeing high CPU usage by Chrome for some time until it finally load ACP page styling. It is just my problem, or anybody else also saw this?

I noticed that when setting my new theme as default and making changes to it, some of these changes, like text colour, is now affecting the ACP as well. Is there a way to prevent this? Or to select one theme (default) specifically for the ACP? The current functionality is a bit annoying since I don't wanna do a complete redesign of the ACP to match the front-end theme, I just wanna keep the ACP as-is

I wasn't sure how to do this, as I couldn't find documentation for it, I only found documentation for a fresh install. I realise 4.0 isn't supported yet, but a piece of advice on this or if you could link me to documentation for it (couldn't find any), that'd be nice I mean, where do I put the files for an upgrade?

Hello I have installed ipb 4 Beta 6 and i have the following problems.. I can't add another group with ACP acces I can't find where i can add a moderator to a single forum or more. I can't give permision for moderation to a group , except the standard one (Administrator & Moderator) I try to copy the groups,and everything...nothing

Hi, I know that there is obviously template companies out there & that you can customize the default template. But I was wondering if IPS would consider having more then 1 default template to choose from. One of the reasons I moved to IPS was because the forum software I was using back then has one of the worst designs & I have now noticed they offer lots of defaults to choose from now. So I was wondering if IPS would consider doing the same?

I definitely love the new additions and some of the changes made to the new 'IP.Nexus', Commerce. Some of the changes, not so sure about. And hope things can be remedied before launch (hope they aren't big 'code change' requests). If possible could someone shed some light on how to insert custom HTML in to spaces on the forum. IE: in this image below I'd like to put some custom HTML where the arrow is, both on the Forum Home and Topic Index in the sidebar. I've also found in PAGES that I can create custom HTML blocks, and call those blocks using {block="my_block_key"}, is it possible to call those to parts of the forum?

When I clicked on Status Feed, I was presented with a message saying it was disabled along with a link to enable the feed. Upon enabling the feed, the Status Feed window displayed with a transparency. I have attached an image to show what it looks like on my browser. I love that many members of the community have a profile picture. This is great! The way the pictures display on my computer are not so great. They are fuzzy and pixelated. - The new menu system in the Content app is great, but you should add a check mark/or blank entry to add target="_blank" for URLs outside the site. Also allow an image to be placed in there as well - The Birthday block should have the ability to limit the number of users based on last time visited. On my semi-live site, I noticed something that I have always missed previously, When many menu items have been added such as Main Menu Main Menu Main Menu Main Menu Sub Menu Sub Menu Sub Menu Sub Menu Those sub menu items will randomly swap places between Main Menus. Has anyone else noticed this behaviour? Has this bug been reported? I havent been able to find this in the bug tracker but wanted to ask first. Or maybe I am doing something wrong. Thanks guys.
