The special Image Field in Pages can only be turned on an off. But unlike the other fields I can neither rename it, add a description or move it at a certain position. I have a problem with all 3 points, since I cannot explain my users what this field is about and how to use it properly in a certain database setup.

Since the last update If you hit a carriage return (ENTER) you get a paragraph break. My forum members do not like it at all. Can anyone help me out how to fix this?

So I had a smooth upgrade and all with IPB4(Yay) and my users are reacting well to it so far, however I am noticing that quotes are messed up(as in the quoted poste bleeds into the actual reply). Is there a way to fix this exactly? I am running 4.0.3

Today I went and added a custom profile field. My goal was to have the setting visible and changeable only by staff. I'm going to be using this as a number field that staff can increment each time the user completes a certain action for us. This needs to be separate from reputation and content count. Unless I'm missing something, you can either set it so both the user and staff can see the field or so that only staff can see the field. If you choose the latter, it is ONLY accessible from within the ACP. I might have staff without ACP access that should be able to edit this field (and it's also just a huge convenience factor to not log into the ACP for such a simple t…

A colleague of mine has been reading the IP.Blog page on the homepage and is asking where those features shown in the screenshots are? Will you update the Blogs app or update the promo page to reflect 4.0 instead of IP.Blog? At the moment it looks like the old version could have had multiple users for a single blog and that the current one does not...unless I missed something Is this now a permission issue where you need to create a group for that unique blog? Not sure I can do that with hundred of thousands of members wanting to create groups

It would be nice to be able when posting a topic into a forum to turn off the AuthorPane column on the left. <----- that one there Sometimes you create informational posts and then lock them so nobody else is adding content to the topic but that column takes up considerable space. As far as post attribution perhaps inline or some other horizontal option ( of course all this permission driven ) the user name and avatar is already at the top of the page - perhaps when there is only one post and it's locked the display would change.

I have to say, top marks for improvements to Calendar, IPS! I've just created some events and the cover photo really makes them spring to life, I love the address search facility, and the ability to feature Events is really good. Thanks also for finally adding option not to have RSVPs on imported iCal events, makes so much more sense when using Google's Events feed for public holidays, Easter etc to populate your Calendar with. Thanks for everyone's hard work on this...!

So I just discovered something on my IP.Board, which will affect anyone who uploads photos to their posts (which I'm assuming is pretty much everyone at some point). Apparently, the editor in IP.Board will use a vertical layout as default display of image attachments. In other words, if you do not manually add the image into your post, the editor will vertically parse these images. I have a problem with that. I call it the cute cat conundrum: that while I love cute cats, I want the cuteness bundled together in a horizontal layout for maximum cuteness so it doesn't take up too much space. Hello, After playing around with the calendar for awhile I want to give some feedback/my opinions. Better Location informationA more zoomed into map thumbnailText of the location (most people might not think of clicking the map to get the address)Have an option to only allow reviews to be left after the event has ended as in some cases seems a bit silly to review an event before it has even startedDisable to Going, Maybe and Decline buttons on events that have RSVP and have passed.Thats really all the feedback I have for the calendar works well.

Unless I am missing something, I am not seeing a way to make it display when a staff member kicks a member from chat or that the member was even kicked. On ipb 3.x it would say "Dorian Gray kicked Member A" or something similar and Member A was kicked by Dorian Gray or something similar. On 4.X, you kick but there is no reveal or anything lol. Is there a way to make this display this to save confusion?

Blogs have this ability when they will be made public. This logic needs to be extended to forums and to Ads there are cases where content is embargoed until a certain time.

In your bug tracker, in Sort By can you add the ability to find our content please? I really liked the old bug tacker, the one 2 versions ago where we could find our reports and comments with one click (the version before you used IP. Content). Thanks!

Suggestion: If no email oder Administrator validation is required for registration, the user should be automatically logged in or be directed to a special pageif email validation is required the user should get a message or hint after registration

With 3.x you could limit what file types could be uploaded, with 4.x you cannot. I understand that an exe file is not a security concern for the server itself, but it might be if someone where to upload one and the user runs it. I have one small site of active users that I trust, that site is running 4.x. I will not upgrade my larger site that has thousands of users as it's not possible to know them all and trust them. I won't expose some users to the potential of a security risk. Please add this missing feature back. Thank you

Hello, I sent my question directly to the support, but they replied to me that it's a suggestion and my question was closed in a soviet mode. In fact this is not a suggestion, but a real problem : my dictionnary cannot work without the filters options in the blocks, since they have disapeared in the new 4.0. For micro galleries where each photo is individually curated, IP.Gallery is fine. But for large-scale galleries with hundreds or thousands of photos, the current process of adding information to every photo is too time-consuming. Nobody has time to add the same tags and the same description and the same copyright and the same credits to every photo. - During initial image uploading, add option to add same information across every image. - After image uploaded, add options to mass edit same information across every image.

In Pages with Reviews on, there is no way for the author to leave a rating. They have to reply to the record under the Reviews tab. There are review type sites where the author leaves a review for a product, then the public leaves reviews. Not possible here. And that's how I run some review sections. So is the idea here they have to leave a reply to actually rate the product, when the original record body is the review? That is not the best. It would look something like "Replying just to add my star rating." No good. All you need is the "star" ratings available to the author, and next to it, it would say "Author's Rating," as to not confuse for the overall rating. Since r…

Could be totally on my own here but thought I'd put it out there, on my site we get some really really long posts which members quote sometimes 2 or 3 times on the same page, when you are on your mobile especially your thumb gets a good old workout. Idea stolen from Xenforo but click to expand quote or anything similar which limits the chars in quotes is something I really would love to see on IPB and I know my thumb would really appreciate it as well. Might even be a simple CSS trick some lovely member will put forward.....

You offer the option to define extra fields for IP.Downloads. It makes a lot of sense in IP.Galley as well. For example: - For most of my galleries, I only need EITHER credit or copyrights, not both. - For certain categories, I may use fields like 'Studios' 'Publication Dates' 'Model Name' etc.

Thank you, I love IPB 4 and once those pesky editor bugs are fixed you guys are on to something special here, no other forum software comes close. Customer service is also right up there with the best, so helpful keeping me updated on where you are with bugs and fixing issues I've had through the later RC's. Can I also say that not only are you all super clever and amazingly talented but what handsome men you all are having seen the staff pic in the off topic forum.
