  1. Thanks for that Kevin. I'll give it a try.
  2. In Pages, is it possible to limit the # of article/record submissions per user depending on which group they belong to?
  3. Not sure if this is already possible, but in Pages, I'd like to be able to limit the number of records/articles a user can submit by user group.
  4. No it doesn't fully solve my problem but I appreciate the suggestions.
  5. Yes, I can add a second field as a temporary solution but would like to keep things as clean as possible. Some businesses might have more than 2 locations and I don't want to have load up on address fields. Conditional fields does sound like a great idea!
  6. If I can make a request re: the address field in Pages....I would like to have a toggle to allow users to upload multiple addresses if they wish. This is especially useful for a business directory where a particular business might have multiple locations.
  7. It sure would be nice to see some documentation & examples put out by IPB soon though. It would surely help many of us out! I understood the lack of documentation during the RCs but now that we're on 4.04...the documentation needs to get beefed up!
  8. Hopefully they're listening and it does become a default feature.
  9. Nice idea...this would be a great option too. Thanks, yes, I did notice it. It doesn't give the full control that I think many people would like but it's a great start! Yes I did notice this post. It seems that creating a database for every category would be temporary workaround...but if you have dozens of categories it can get messy real quick to have to create that many databases. @Ralf H. mentioned that this only applies to the block editor but if you style your own templates you can get around it. I'm wondering if anybody is able to provide some examples??? I've already
  10. I know there's been 1 or 2 posts regarding this issue beforehand but I'd like to bring it up again to see if others are wanting this feature as well. It seems that any block added to a sidebar in Pages shows across all pages/views within a database. For example, I am trying to get a local business directory started...so when I'm on the "category" view and I add a block to the sidebar, that same block shows in the display view and the record view.As well, if I add a block to a category page..let's say "Accountants," the same block shows up if I'm under the "Real Estate" category page. I'd like
  11. Hello, I'm not sure if I'm missing this but I would like to have the ability to upload a logo/icon for each category in the Pages app....same as what's available for each of the forum topics.
  12. I'm trying to set up a database where users can upload an image and that image would preview on the categories page. However, if the user choses to not upload an image, I would like to display a default image in it's place. I assume I would need some sort of "if" statement in the page template, right? On the display options tab for the image upload field it says : The field key can be used in HTML templates to fetch a specific field, for instance: {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('my_key', 'listing')|raw} and my template key is "image_1" So I'm assume I would need to include something si
