Now what I mean by this is I have had to reset my license to a directory in my own domain name so say I have IP.Board Installed in my "forums" directory. (Which I did at one point.( I had to contact support to have them change it which is understandable. But How are we supose to know the last time we reset it to another domain There is no way to know this information the only way to find out is to try and reset and find out about the reset fee. I can understand the fact that people want to reset their IP.Board license every once in a while and I get the fee. But I think having some idea of when we can reset our license would be vital to know. For for example you …

In the About Me page of profile the date shows in MM/DD/YYYY format, is it possible to change it to European standard of DD/MM/YYYY? I can't find a setting for this, even though my forum posts are displaying correctly as DD/MM/YYYY. Thanks.

Many moons ago Topic Description was a standard feature on IPS. It disappeared during the 3.x versions (someone created a hook for this afterwards) and also now it does not seem to be here. Is there a way to get it back as currently I see many users on my board using the Tags area instead and this is not what it is supposed to be I guess.

On IPB 3.4.x we had a very useful statistics where we could see which were our most popular forums for a given period. See the attached PDF for a printout of this feature. On IPS 4.1.x this feature was removed... I wish you could put it back. Foruns_mais_ativos-11-2015.pdf

Most review sites will show partial stars which helps you decide which is best when you sort. Seeing just 50 products with 5 stars, then 50 with 4 is not the same, when those are not accurate but display as so. Not talking about rating with half stars, but displaying with partial stars if a full star is not the actual score. 5 stars should only be shown if all reviews are exactly 5 stars, but it rounds here. So a 4.25 will round to a full star. Rounding to quarters, or even halves would be great. Is it because you use font awesome and not your own star shapes? I would like prefix tags to work the same as regular tags for search purposes. For example, I use "how-to" as a prefix tag a lot and it would be nice for users to find all available how-to's by clicking on that tag prefix. On the no-results page clicking More Search Options makes it look like it might work, but it returns nothing.

Members would like to know if they can see a list of posts they have liked? Helps them revisit content, and threads they enjoy. It's not a bad idea. Also a way to see top liked posts in a given thread would be a helpful way to skip to the good stuff.

Hi Before in ipboard 3.x we had this option, now in new version, we have to just scroll down to see all msgs. Now imagine, if you have permitted 500 msgs and you reach to limit and want to delete 200 old msgs. In this new system you have to mark one by one to all 200 olds msgs. If you mark all then it marks all 500 msgs. In old system we could go to last page > Mark all > delete

I know now they added hide (soft delete) and delete (hard delete). But some time by mistake admin or mods can delete topics/post which need to restore again. Please make feature same like this we were having in ip board 3.x

In IP 3 thumbnail image attachments made better use of space. They used a horizontal layout and now IP4 stacks them all one above the other. I really preferred IP3 as it had less scrolling and dead white space in the post. Anyway to bring this formatting back? Anybody have a work around?

This would be so beneficial. Say we have two sites and the premium membership has benefits on both. But if they are signed in on the second site they are in the members group. There should be a group syncing option where you map the groups you want synced. So in IP.Connect you map Premium A to Premium B, so they are logged in and in Premium on both sites. It would need to check daily though, so when A expires and they are in members, the mapping detects this and they are in members on site B as well. This could work if you sell the premiums on one site with access to both and would be VERY beneficial!!! I believe it would also work if you sell memberships on both sites (a…

You apparently meant to improve this in 4.1 and thus I trusted your judgement and said to members it would be improved when we would upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1. But myself, administrators and members I've heard from with the boards I manage the technical aspects of haven't noticed any improvement to how quote removal is handled. This is with version 4.1.5. The major cause for this is that all the ones I've heard from initially expect to be able to remove the quote by simply hitting backspace when they are just below the quote. When the first thing inside the editor is a quote in 4.1 it becomes impossible to use ctrl+a on the keyboard to select all (or right click and then choose select all in browser context menu). This method has been very much used by myself and members on a community I visit when we decide to not write a reply or start over with our post from a blank slate. It worked up until 4.0.13.1, but stopped working with 4.1.X. Since it's difficult enough as it is to remove quotes already, the process of removing everything quickly becomes an inefficient and non-obvious chore to do. I would like to see IP.Pages in the future, have the ability to have it's own widgets/blocks throughout the whole system. Currently, it really limits creativity to be limited to areas within 'categories' for example - each section shares all the same widgets/blocks and this prevents me from being able to customize each section based on the area, at least not all be the database should be forcefully shared. For example A category talented 'art' could have its own block for submitted images within IP.Gallery, without being seen in other sections like 'news' 'media' and 'features'. The HTTP upgrader is really slow (upgrading from 3.4.8 to 4.1.5.2 it has been running for over 8 hours on our fairly large site, and it's not very far through (this is a test upgrade)), so it would be create if you could run it as a CLI program instead. That way, you don't have to deal with the large overhead associated with HTTP requests, and you don't have to get the site operator to run queries for you because it can never time out. The UTF8 converter CLI works pretty well, so I don't see why an upgrader couldn't do the same. In IP.Gallery When you upload an image with a space (eg. "My Photo 01.JPG"), IPS adds a numerical prefix and strips out the spaces so it becomes something really ugly like 56843efab1922-MyPhoto01.JPG This causes multiple problems, none of which I have time to fix one-by-one during uploading: The file names then become "56843efab1922-MyPhoto01.JPG" which is much less useful than simply "My Photo 01" The display order gets mixed up since the filenames are now sorted by a completely different system I've never had this problem with another gallery system. Other gallery systems simply insert a dash, underscore, or strip the blank spaces.

I could have sworn that some prior version let me add margins to embedded image attachments without requiring HTML posting privileges. I'd also love the ability to apply one or more CSS classes via the popup. I do not want to force *every* embedded attachment into a nice border frame by editing the CSS globally, but I'd like to offer my community the option to do more or less what I do using Source edit to insert the class into the img src.

Why does it take several attempts at embedding YouTube videos? http://thesandtrap.com/forums/topic/85243-embedding-youtube-videos-on-this-site/ My members were getting so frustrated I had to make the video showing how I will embed videos, which basically involves pasting the URL 5-10 times with returns after each, and then deleting the many which didn't embed and occasionally one or two extra that did, leaving just one. Is this like this for everyone? Why is it so difficult? Why does "ipsnoembed=true" seem to be tacked on so readily to paragraphs, links, etc.? More importantly… What can be done to make this more reliable?

so I renewed my forum yesterday, and now my account is saying disabled? perhaps I accidently clicked it.. but would it not make sense to remove the disable or have a popup saying are you sure you wish to take this action.. Maybe I accidently hit the off button, I don't know.. is there any way to get this fixed without having to pay another 25 dollars?
