Bring back post ordering control

With version 3.x, we found it very useful to have the forums set to display users' posts in most-recent on top order.  This way, clicking a thread link brought the reader to the most relevant information.  It also keeps behavior consistent between threads and posts - both had the most recent content on top.

The ability to re-order posts from the default has gone away in 4.1.6.  I would like to request that it be brought back at earliest convenience.
