Hello, I've recently upgraded from Nexus to Commerce and have noticed a few areas requiring improvement, in the ACP. ------- With Nexus in 3.x, the Paypal transaction ID was displayed for each payment - which made it very easy to find the customer on Paypal (sometimes they use different email addresses compared to my site, so an email search isn't possible). With Commerce in 4.x, the Paypal transaction ID is no longer shown for billing agreements. An example of this is below. some of us feel strongly about certain aspects of the NEW IPS4 model, some feel the other way around, i thought we can discuss our differences here instead of mixing topics on other threads, while i am not generally against improving any aspect, be it by design or functionality, i find the model choose and implemented is not the most elegant solution for some aspects of a private community, my base contingency is a private community has different needs and goals then a social network community! turning IPS4 to a mini social network is a lovely idea and product; but is very much conflicting by definition with a private community, thus giving IPS4 somewhat of a…

Hello, if there are two members in a conversation and one leaves the conversation, the other member is still able to reply. Why is it possible to reply when nobody else is there? Expected behavior would be: - Replying possible when more than one person is in the conversation - Replying NOT possible when only a single person is in the conversation (After you add another user, replying is possible again) Many users in my forum complained, that they didn't realize that the recipient left the conversation and kept on writing...

Now when user joins chat he usually see empty page. Option "Show chat history upon joining a room" is switched ON, but it works in very weird way - it displays only last 10 minutes messages instead of displaying last, let's say, 20 messages. Perfect solution would be to load older messages automatically when scrolling up. So for me this chat is absolutely useless. People stopped using it, because they can't see previous messages. People don't want to sit in the chat room for hours.

Currently you can make a ticket for support only. It would be nice if some way you could log a ticket and it goes to Dev or sales team.

First, I'd like to request that the default built-in ban system allows users to still view the site, but removes the ability to interact with the community at all. This includes restricting posts, status updates, status replies, PMs, signature/avatar/cover photo changes, etc. Basically, there should be an option for bans to allow members to still view IP.Pages and IP.Forums as well. Just because you have to ban somebody does not mean your site should be completely off-limits to them. As a workaround, I've resorted to creating a banned member group. Commerce Application (I noted it also is the same for Customers -> Custom Fields) Member profiles In the second image options such as a regex and max length are available; I think these are valid assets to the Commerce plugin especially as we use one of these as an identifier for license key generation - when people submit it incorrectly we have to manually fix this before the key can be activated! So, giving product fields the same options as those in profiles would greatly benefit those who need the precision in getting the fields exactly in the correct format.

One feature I would really like to see is the ability to redirect members directly to their profiles when logging in. Perhaps not useful to everyone, but for those of us who run social communitys (meeting new friends, dating etc) it would be a treat! I want to be able to choose where a member is directed when they log in or register, if it's to the forums, to their profile or to some specific page. I use Pages as my starting page and when they log in or register there, that's where they end up and that's not really the best choice. Thanks

Hello team, please add the feature of related fields with dependencies in a future release. It would be a great step to have this essential db feature. i.e. I have a manufacturer field (related to db1) and a model field (related to db2). The available entries for the model field depend on the chosen entry of the manufacturer field.

Hello team, I'm looking for a feature to have blocks/widgets which can be dismissed. I know this kind of boxes from vb. It was a good feature to show any kind of information to the user without annoying them. The user could decide if he wanted to see this info again. I would really appreciate if you could implement those kind of boxes in a future release.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this little UX weirdness, searched the forum with no luck so let's try starting a new topic for it! I'd be surprised if no one else has noticed this issue. I did some blinde testing with several others in my office (all software designers and developers), and almost all of them had the exact same problem I did. When COPPA compliance is enabled and a new user begins the registration process, they will first be presented with a birthday verification step. As someone already mentioned, the editor in Pages is quite buggy making the edit window disappear, loosing the changes that have not yet saved and that's why I have to save the content frequently and reedit. Also today I've added several images from attachments but when I press the link button, nothing happens so I cant link those. I have to manually go to source and write linking code. Please check and fix.

User's post counter should decrease when post is hidden (and increased if they are unhidden). The same goes for topics, but in that case it should be applied to all post in the topic. The reason being, here we use the post/topic hide feature as a "soft delete", so in our install hidding a post/topic has the same effect, for the user, as deleting them. Cheers.

Hello, As an owner for a long time of IPB, there's some people that you can NEVER get rid of. I have 2 on my forums that come back and back -- around and around -- as they spoof their IP address, email addresses -- and you can never really ban them. I'd like to see a FEATURE much like Facebook where you can HIDE all their posts to everyone EXCEPT whoever is FOLLOWING them. So they think they aren't banned -- and posting -- yet nobody really sees them except their own friends! I think this would be a GREAT FEATURE to add to IPB! Thanks, BB

After upgrading to 4.x, if you look in the appropriate database table for downloads or forum topics, would you still see the BB codes mixed in with the text? Or does 4.x try to convert the bb codes (bold, italics, url tags, font sizes, etc) to the html equivalent?I understand that in 4.x the bb code functionality is gone from the front end for the user (can't edit a forum post or download description and use bb code). But what happens to text with bb codes already in forum topics table or downloads table?Thanks,Josh

Imagine if users could create a discussion forum themselves and become the admin of that forum like Facebook Groups, wouldn't it be great? I feel like the my content would be much greater and the platform would be much more active. The top-down set forum titles are limiting users and I believe that is why forums are not as popular as before. Because after some time the threads gets repetitive. However, if users could just open their own discussion forums whenever they want, that would foster a lot of creativity. I wonder if there is such option at the moment?

Hello, I've had my forum for just over 12 years now, for the majority I've ran a subscription service that simply charges $10/year through a PayPal payment, they then get upgraded to a different user group and offered more forum features, no advertisements and prize draws. This was the majority of my income, unfortunately, since IPB4, that now makes adding an address on checkout compulsory (which is not relevant for either me or my members) it is grossly off putting and deters people away from upgrading.
