Pages is a great app but if you use it as a news portal, you're likely going to use tags to mark articles. Here comes the problem. When you want to see all articles marked with a certain tag, you get forwarded to a search result page that also displays topics, gallery images etc. with that tag. On top of that you also get duplicate content, if you store your comments in a topic. Both the article and topic for that article are displayed since they both share the same tags. I wish there was a similar display like there is for articles from the same category. This way you could only display articles with the same tag.

Rigth now I have to add one by one toolbars of ckeditor features to large, medium and small mode... Woul be cool if can put one toolbar(call it 'more' and 'less') to show more toolbars option.

I want to suggest some additional custom profile field for marketplace contributors that displays their activity. It can be measured by number of logins for a given period (much like the HOT topic highlight), number of file updates, etc. This way it will be much easier for potential customers to recognize if a given app is still well supported by its author or is abandoned. This is a real issue on the marketplace, there are so many paid addons still available for purchase that are simply left behind and the developer provides zero or no support. Many of them even have renewal fees, which I find most cynical since these renewal fees are supposed to be exactly for the ongoi…

We are a small private community, and I would be nice if there would be a way to just disable the follow/unfollow topics/posts functionality and just have everyone receive emails when something is posted (if they have access to that section).

People come in with "this should be in core" ideas all the time. Well, here's another one. I would really like it if the store front could be sorted for files from a specific user. I realize already one can visit a user profile and click files. However, making it an option in the store/marketplace (whatever) will provide the member with a feeling of having their OWN store front. They would then share their store front link with others. Give's them a little more feeling of ownership. This is good (should stay) but I think this would be awesome Maybe the "user" filter isn't visible (as a drop down or whatever) on the store front itself…

Why the heck am I being told that "by design" there is no lightbox for images posted in the forums on mobile? What kind of design plan is that? Offer mobile people a one way ticket off the site and have them land on a blank white page with an image? Force them to use their back button to navigate back to your site? ugh Gallery has a mobile lightbox, IPB3 has a mobile lightbox ... the least we could do is have the images enlarge inline when clicked. rant over Thank you

We are currently in the process of migrating our existing forum to IPS. What really irks me is that posts with many attachments get really huge vertically and contain lots of whitespace. This is how a post looks, when images are attached: And this is how it should look: Is there any way to get this result automatically without having the user edit his post after posting?

I think activity stream would give a much better overview, if items from different apps looked more unique. Gallery items already feature an image in the stream. Pages articles could also feature the article image. There should be a separate "template" for each app item (Pages articles, Store products, Downloads items, forum topics, forum posts, etc.) This way everything wouldn't look the same. Right now it is hard to distinguish new topics from new posts/replies. The icons look the same to me. On condensed view, there's even less difference. Let's say you have an article that has comments inside the article as well as in a forum topic. Each time someone posts a reply/comment, both the topic and the article show up on the activity stream. I believe these are the same thing so on the activity stream, it should only display one item. The system knows both are connected and could only display one of them.

I am really getting into using downloads to try and operate an actual business. As I do so, I will try to provide feedback as it comes up. First thing, it seems there is tons of opportunity to improve the metrics and reporting available in downloads. I will just stick to this one thing for now. (as there are other opportunities for improvement I can bring up later in a different post) The income graph, is something I like. However, I have some suggestions. The only option to the similar content widget is the number of records. It would be very nice if we could customize it. For example, show content with "more replies", "less replies", "older", "newer", "minimum replies", "by author group", "popular", etc.

I think there's scope for some major improvements in the way the approval queue works. What I'd like to see: 1) Show us all items of one type at a time, and let us deal with these en masse - 'hide - delete - approve - ignore' checkboxes, then one submit button would be ideal. The current system of waiting for a reload in between each item seems ill thought out at best. It also means we can see at a glance what's going on - if I can see there's 20 spam topics from one account, I can flag as spammer, if it's from 20 different accounts I need to see if I can do some email / IP banning. Before I moved to IP Content, I ran my IPB board and had a MediaWiki setup for my content management system. While I love not having do this kind of weird stuff to make an item bold..... '''this will be bold''' I do miss the ability to quick link to items that already have pages by doing this.... Dear ipb, please bring forum depending blocks in a future release. It would be great to have blocks only for specific forums. At the moment I can only create non-cached blocks with template conditionals. Sometimes this is not very useful. Thanks!

As per this topic: https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/408509-save-records-in-categories-always-show-records-like-articles/ ,this topic https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/423746-how-to-change-category-view/, and several others, it would be great if we had the option to display "records like articles" when using categories. Currently, if you click on a category, instead of having a beautiful wordpress-like list of articles with teaser content and images, the records are displayed like a forum list. Can we please have the option to always "show like articles"? (and is there a mod that can accomplish this?)

Hey, please add support for adding a private key on the automatic uploader of updates to authorized through sftp on the servers. I've recently switched all my servers from passwords to authorized keys and was just surprised missing that option on the updater. It would hurt to permit password authentification only because the forum. It's not a mandatory thing, only nice to have. I basically haven't an issue to do that manually. I see this suggested rarely through the years and I want to raise the topic again. It is a very good way for one member to thank another one, while at the same time providing financial support for the community. It is a fact that very limited percentage of board members will purchase premium subscription and once they do its over, you can't get them to buy twice even though some of them do not mind paying double. Having the option to purchase subscription for someone else provides them with the option of spending more money gifting subscriptions to people who would never purchase one themselves...and who knows, they might like it and resubscribe after the gift expires. …
