Hello. It would be nice, if could turn off pages from Pages app with output error message for groups without access permissions, for example - "This section is being finalized and in 2 days will be opened"

The questions-style forum already has this functionality and it would just have to be slightly modified to support a suggestions forum, where people make requests for products (kind of like this forum). Users would be able to vote on the topic itself, but the replies to the topic would not have any voting. Instead of "vote for this question" it would say "vote for this suggestion". It would be a really good way to track what the community feels is a priority. I will not use the "questions" style forum for this purpose because people would just get confused.

And apparently, that is not a bug. Currently, the login & auth flow works like this: Logging in gives you auth cookies that are valid for one week - auth cookies consist of a member ID and a random string that is unique to your account (but all sessions logged into your account keep the same cookie). Every time you visit the site again while the cookies are still valid, the expiry on the cookies is refreshed, so you will stay logged in for another week. If you log into another device after the original week grace period, you will log out all other sessions, because the value for the auth cookie is regenerated. If you want to log out all other s…

This currently appears to be a legacy feature that has been lost with recent updates (that or I am just missing it). You can create custom fields with the option of making them searchable, But there are no options for filtering search results based on these fields anywhere on the Advanced Search page for files. Even when filtering by the specific categories with custom fields defined, no search fields are presented, Searching by custom fields adds a lot of complexity to the search system for sure, but it is an extremely powerful feature for large communities that heavily utilize IP.Downloads. I'd really like to see an option for Questions forums that'd let us hide this block: Popular questions from the past month Questions with no best answer When I put these into our Archive read-only forum (finished AMAs), this block serves no practical purpose. It's just taking up space. I know I can hide it with some convoluted CSS lines, but that feels sloppy. I think this should be an option.

I don't know if I missed a setting, but I realized that there is no setting to send all notifications to parent account. I would think it would maybe be a useful feature that people can use. I know I could use it for my community since we have multiple accounts!

It would be great if the file submitters in Downloads could decide if the file they are submitting is downloadable or not. Eg: if a PDF file can be downloaded after the purchase or only read over the suite, to protect the author from ripping and copyright infringement, and this would increase the community visits if the content is accessible only via the site. In this case, instead of a "Download" button for the PDF file, it will show a "Read" button that opens the PDF file in a protected embedded reader over the Downloads page.

I have the whole site rss feed being posted to the above three social platforms but I have a problem. Say a new topic is posted on the site, such as one called "Explosion at Manchester arena" This gets posted to facebook, google+ and twitted, thats all fine. But when someone replies, this gets posted again! Is it possible to only get the topics posted on the RSS feed and not the replies. Hey, Has anyone managed to create a Status Update block like in IPB 3? All our users are complaining that they aren't able to reply to statuses on the forum homepage or see how many comments a status update has got. Instead they are having to click the time & go to the users profile page which is a lot more effort. It's also resulting in less status interactivity. This is the only negative feedback of 4.0 I have received so it seems a shame.

It's a small thing but it would help not messing things up if the list of plugins had a small color change on hover effect so you know which button for which plugin you're actually clicking.

I see no option to hide a profile field in the member search area. I tried this: and I expected to hide the field, but it didn't. I noticed that it changes back to this: "Do not allow searching on this field" doesn't save. Is this a bug?

Right now, when you click an existing reaction (that is, someone else's reaction, with the number of users that had that reaction beside it), it opens the list of users with that reaction. However, in a lot of other applications that implement reactions, this actually adds that reaction for yourself. I realize this can probably be achieved with a small template change, but it just feels odd since I'm used to it adding that reaction for me, and instead I'm getting a modal. Perhaps clicking the number can show who had that reaction, and clicking the reaction itself can add it?

Why isnt this a thing yet? Thought I was still in an active session typing away then click save. BAM, sign in screen. sign in, gone. Tried doing the back button to before login screen and it'll be fine. nope. There really should be a auto save. (beta3a)
