I notice that when an Admin views a Forums post, s/he can view the IP address of the post in the upper-right corner. Just wondering why this seems to be a function restricted solely to Forums posts? It seems that it might be useful for blog entries, downloads and gallery entries as well...? Or was it intended this way?

It would be extremely useful if we could set the store to deliver a key from a list of pre-generated product keys. This would allow us to distribute Steam keys automatically when a product is sold on our site.

It seems bonkers that the commerce cart still isn't available for Downloads. Every digital downloads system out there has a cart except IPS. Also, Sales stat's only shows the sales from the store, not Downloads. I'd like to see all transactions reflected in the graphs. Thanks for considering these points.

Hi there, I've been noticing a significant drop in page viewed on my forum (almost half). I understand that some feature now work without actually refreshing the page but as a publisher, loosing half my pageviews cuts half of my CPM revenues... How is it going to be adressed?

When you report a post and subsequently review that report as a moderator, the post in the report is a live view of the post, not as it was at the time the report was filed. That is, any edits made after the report was filed are reflected in the view of the post in the report. Our moderators frequently respond to reported posts which have had offending remarks edited out, and therefore cannot see the reported content. Feature request: the forum should record a snapshot of a reported post at the tile the report is filed. Hi, About Promotions, the block should be more friendly user on mobile phone. We have to tap the button to slide in. It will be muuuuch better if we can do that with a simple swap left or right on the screen.

Although IPS supports setting up subforum moderators, the report UI is a big problem for them. Currently, moderators see all reports whether they can deal with them or not. On an active forum that has, say, over 20 subforums and gets a lot of reports on a daily basis, a moderator who can only deal with one subforum has to wade through a lot of useless content. Since they're constantly seeing a stream of alerts for reports whether they can deal with them or not, they start tuning out the alerts for incoming reports since it's probably not for them anyway. All this makes it more likely that a subforum mod will take longer to see the reports that are actually for them. …

We sell some products directly through our site, but other products are only sold through other marketplaces (other websites). It would be convenient if we could set an optional URL for a product so when the user clicked on the product, it sent them to the product page on the external site.

Hi, I have a usergroup that I want to allow the users to use prefixes, but not tags. Unfortunately, IPS doesn't support this configuration. If I disable "Tags" for this usergroup, the platform ignores the status of the "enable prefix" setting right below it. I really wish we could enable prefixes keeping tags disabled. Because by enabling tags we have users who type in the title of the topic or even the whole message in the "tags" input box. Cheers.

Freshly imported from VB3.8... after 2 days of rebuilding indexes I finally have a fully operational forum and began to analyze features. How to interpret this: Number of Guests within 225 range, members = 1 at all times. Is that correct?

Right now, my members are at my mercy on designing a functional homepage. However I decide to create the layout, set up the widgets, etc, its all valid for all members and they have to follow my logic and taste, which is not applicable to everyone. I can create a last topics feed with 10 records with gallery images below that, but some member might prefer feed of 20 records and no gallery images. I think it would be great if there is an opportunity for the members to create their own homepage - they can use the block manager to drag and rearrange the widgets they find interesting, they can increase the feed records for some widget if they wish. Heya! I recently emailed support asking if this was possible, but found out that it was not a current feature, and to post here suggesting it. Apologies if I've done it wrong - first time poster here. I would love to have the ability to have a quick overview of how much "Credit" is in the community. Currently I track each individual credit modification (input / output) in a spreadsheet in an effort to replicate the credit of all of my members and keep on top of bookkeeping, but it would be great to be able to see it at a glance, or at the least, a total number I could compare my figures with, rather than going to every member's profile and checking their customer data.…

I just found out that if someone tries logging into your account & get's the password etc wrong, you get locked out of your account for 15 minutes. "Your account has been locked. Try again in 14 minutes." Is there anyway to bypass this and still login? If a user keeps doing it, they could literally lock you out of your own website?

I apologize if this has been suggested before, I searched and did not find it. I think users should be able to have multiple reactions on posts. It is totally possible that someone would want to "Like" a post and "Thank" the poster for example.

Currently, if you select multiple posts with the checkboxes, the only ways to uncheck them are to perform an action on them, or to manually go back and uncheck them. If you decide that actually you don't want to perform any action on them, it can be quite time consuming going back through all the pages where you had selected posts/comments and unchecking them all. It would be helpful, and not very complicated, to add one more item to the moderation toolbox to "clear selected posts".

1. There was an ability in IP.Content 3.4 that I using that for a long time. which when you activate Wiki editing in a Database, you have this ability to restrict Permissions per-category. which means, regular users didn't access for wiki editing in some DB and Categories. It was crucial for my site, because there was a Hierarchical structure. normal users only had access to editing in certain categories. Instead, only experienced users have acceess to all restricted categories. Currently, if someone comments on a status update, you receive a notification iff (if and only if - there is no way to receive notifications without meeting one of the criteria, and no way to not receive notifications if you do) you posted the status update originally, the status update was posted on your profile, or you have previously replied to that status update. If you are tagged in the comment, you will receive two notifications - one for the comment and one for the tag. If two people reply to the status update, you will receive two notifications, unlike how the rest of the site works (where comment notifications are collapsed together into "A, B and 3 others"). …

I had some issues with Facebook promotion and the information here or in the ACP was not useful at all. Somehow, I think I got it to work, but it was a lot of trial and error, which is not something that I particularly like, because my community Facebook page is not a terrain for experiments. Those pages …https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/424-r68/ … should contain the badges (“beta”, “current release”) as well. Those pages always confuse me when they appear in the activity feed. I think there is a new release, but it might just be a beta – but I can’t tell. I guess the badges are turned off for the Record Display view, since they are not required on this page. Maybe rather have them twice than missing in certain views.
