If you ever use Slack when you place a URL to an external site sometimes it will auto show a preview. Is this something that on the roadmap or apart of the new editor?

Based on this topic: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/477933-club-database-permissions/#comment-2968746 It is possible to create databases in clubs, which is also pretty awesome. However, it would be important if only club admins and club owners could create entries. Imagine you have clubs for different clans and every user in these clubs could create database entries (e.g. as news). That would quickly become pretty uncool. Why not let the club owners decide who can create content and who can't? Best regards, Vakarian

The latest November 2022 Release video, Charles mentioned some new features that are being planned, such as paid events and RSVP like tickets. With that in mind, could you add a reserve list to the RSVP when there are limited spaces? So that when someone drops out, the next member on the reserve list takes their place and the system sends them a notification. My community would hugely benefit from this as members plan their own small events which have limited spaces and there are nearly always others wanting to join if someone who has said they are going but later cant make it and drop out. It would really help with organising these events and make it fair for…

Hi, I'd like to suggest a new notification feature that seems extremely useful. Currently, when the author of a thread edits the main post, users who are interested in it and have either contributed a post or reacted to it are unaware of the changes. I propose that these users receive a notification whenever the main post is edited by the thread's author. We already have notifications for new content additions, but this would specifically address updates made by the author to the main post, alerting users who have shown interest by either posting or reacting. This enhancement would keep users informed about significant updates they are engaged in.

Suddenly it's 2018. This isn't directed at you Jim, but at the decision-makers at IPS as a whole. The fact that a vendor of web-based photo gallery software doesn't officially support WebP in 2024 is, frankly, absurd. And it's absurd for several reasons: It clearly works. I wasn't even aware that webp wasn't officially supported (or I didn't remember) because I've been uploading webp to my galleries for a while now, and it has been working nicely, and will continue to work nicely in their new S3 home. The standard was announced in 2010 and went to stable release in 2018. There's been 8 years to get onboard. Much of the web has been using…

So when you ban a member (this includes the auto bans due to spam defense system) its hard to tell WHY the member was banned. Were they banned because they broke a rule, because they were a spammer, because they used the F bomb too many times? WHO KNOWS? because when you ban you have time and that's it. It should be placed sort of like a moderator note. Something that the admin determines if its shown ACP or in the members profile or not. I've had members banned for years that may or may not deserve an appeal. But it would be nice to read a deatailed note on how "thread X and thread Y (with links)" were some of the reasons they were banned.

I manage a community for the owner, and I am listed on the account as an Alternative Contact. When I log into the site, and go to support, it says the support email must come from the following email and lists my correct email. HOWEVER every time I attempt to open a support request, I get the email stating: Your support email was not received. Thank you for contacting Invision Community! Unfortunately, we could not find an active customer account or an alternative account with this email address. - i can see the community under my account - my email is listed as the alternate contact - my email is listed as the email that the support request …

Last Visited should state "Online Now" when a user is still online (the same way the hover card currently displays it). The way it works now is a bit odd, as mentioned in the following threads:

A user on my community brought this to my attention. I think this may be intended behavior by Google chrome, but should be something reviewed for an overlay by IPS WebP images open in a new tab, and are not scrollable like JPG Sample topic:

If a user posts affiliate links, moderators approving the moderated links won't be savvy enough to know which part of the posted URL is spam. For instance - Host name (explodes into full URL when clicked) - amzn.to/<product> URI - amazon.com/?...tag=<publisher> These are just examples and there are many more spam URLs from other sites with lot of variations. Currently, the only options with Links & Email Addresses is to either Block or Moderate both of which are not adequate. Please provide a 3rd option to REPLACE the spam part of the link (similar to Word Filters) with a replacement text so the affiliate link becomes useless. If w…

First of all the standard cookie list seems to miss the timezone cookie? Second there is no duration told, that alls these cookies have. I fiddled out a few standard cookies, but what is the standard duration of these cookies here: ips4_oauth_authorize ips4_clearAutosave ips4_lastSearch ips4_noCache ips4_guestTermsDismissed ips4_language ips4_cm_reg ips4_location ips4_currency ips4_guestTransactionKey ips4_forumpass_*

But we have some members who doesn't want to display their birthdates. I don't want to disabled it generally, because i need it for youth protection

A page listing all the predefined tags could be added under Browse menu to navigate content by tags. Currently, users have no way to know all the available/existing tags or their correct paths. Please confirm if this is added to your Roadmap.

A Help module like this would be very useful to end users - https://www.mobilemusic.us/help You can refer to the Help page we created on our site for help content (but it is one long page and overwhelming). A help module with an accordion navigation menu and multiple pages like above would have a better UX. Training end users is essential and crucial on any software to make them advanced users that will save their time while using the site and a Help module would be very helpful in this regard. Please confirm if this is added to your Roadmap.

Please provide the Live Chat module (at least for Cloud clients) by reusing your continual bi-directional communication using NodeJS used in Live Topics, Live Notifications, Who is Typing, Who else is Here?, etc. The AJAX Chat app options are not scaling because they open a new connection for each user, process and continually poll the service and crashing the site frequently making it not look like cloud hosting. Please confirm if this is added to your Roadmap.

We require more info from someone joining one of our events, and now use Google forms to collect it...just indicating that you're going on the event isn't enough. We'd like to use the event signup more, but this means folks have to join in two places. Could event signup collect more info or link to an external form?

Hi, I'm at a point in my community's maturity where I spend more time in the community ACP than the front-end investigating membership issues, checking saved reports, or auditing permissions. This is a minor suggestion but I think it would offer a huge efficiency improvement for admins who are short-on-time and big-on-problems (ha): to offer a recent search history from the ACP search bar. It could capture the last several searches or clickthroughs from the ACP search, such as: Member emails Member usernames Settings Reports, etc.

I love the new Events system and the look of the interface. There's only one thing that I find confusing: on future events that I haven't signed up to yet, it says "✔ Going" - which I find confusing: the checkmark seems to indicate that I've already signed up, and the word "Going" seems to indicate a current status, as if I'm already "Going" to this event. Put that in perspective with the "✖ Decline" button that is an action word, and not a status. So to make it clear I suggest that the button that lets you sign up for an event is named "Sign Up". Ideally it should have the color green IMO (like the "New Topic" button). And the icon should be some sort of…

Hi, most of my products are made up of an additional field that alternates the final price, for example: https://www.etpsolutions.com/store/product/28-rapid-frc/ I noticed that the structural data relating to the product is almost non-existent, in particular there is no trace of the price of the product and its variants, making it completely non-functional in its purpose. From my point of view, if you introduced the Product Variant parameter it would solve all my problems: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/product-variants?hl=en

When you restore a previous version, not only are the screenshots deleted from the version that got reverted, but all screenshots are deleted. While they may appear to still be there the file manager shows them at 0mb and when your cache expires it shows a broken image for every single screenshot uploaded, regardless what version it was added in.

Hello, when you type a message in threads, either in public forums or PM and if you reload the page by accident, there is a concept autosaved you can use and continue to type a message, thats great. But when you want to start a new PM on forum index, you click on the envelope button and the dialog appears. If the dialog loses focus, everything is lost, which could be really annoying when finishing longer message. On the other hand, if this dialog loses focus on /messenger page, you can reopen it and continue to type. But if you reload the page accidentally, the content will be lost too. Can you improve this behavior somehow? 🤔

Just a quick idea that popped into my head this morning - a lot of my community users rely on making new topics for everything. Whenever a new piece of news drops, or the release day of a particular product, that sort of thing. It tends to clutter my forum, and I'm thinking of ways of how to change the culture a little bit so people use the Calendar a lot more for release reminders (this was one of the reasons given when users are asked why they make potentially redundant topics; that they use the threads as a means to remind themselves that something has been released). With that in mind, I think it would be useful if there was a functionality to assign one (or more…

FYI, yesterday a friend of mine wanted to register for a free 30-days trial of Invision Community. We have tried his working email @web.de and get "You are not allowed to use that email address on this site." We have tried his alternative email @t-online.de and get "You are not allowed to use that email address on this site." We then registered other emails with @gmx.de and @mail.de and get "You are not allowed to use that email address on this site." Finally, we succeeded with @freenetmail.de 😓 The confirmation email from sales@invisionpower.com went straight into the spam folder. We had to fill out the captcha multiple times. Every …
