Hello - General question for the group. I'm I required to renew my services to download my software purchase of invision, change my website domain, or even general information? Everything on my manage page is greyed out. I am curious about what I bought and paid for. We recently had a brute force attack and our small community website is down. Thanks for any assistance.

So server had a SSD drive failure a few months ago, and so my host upgraded the server to new SSD and moved things around... They changed the path where the files were stored. I do remember fixing settings in somewhere in the ACP from /databases/forums/public_html/ to /storage/forums/public_html/ However, I totally forgot to go to my cPanel and update the path to incoming email for support by piping email to the database. Opportunity for IPS, somehow add to the system perhaps in config? to alert the site admin to change the path for the pipe settings, when they differ, or issue a test to the departments?

Forum RSS feeds do not include author. This information is useful. I'd personally recommend it simply be included by default, but an option to include it would also work.

In ACP » Applications » Commerce (toggle to disclose) there should be a section for Hosting to disable hosting features. Don't ever plan to offer cPanel hosting.

It would be very helpful to have "Post Feed," "Popular Now," "Our Picks" widgets to have options to display contents based on the category the current post/forum belongs to For example: Off-topic (Category) GIFs (Discussion Forum) Work Stories (Discussion Forum) Car Tuning (Category) Tuned Cars (Discussion Forum) Tuning How-to's (Discussion Forum) Horsepower Upgrade (Discussion Forum) So, in "Tuned Cars" forum, you only get filtered feed from "Car Tuning" category posts. in "GIFs" forum, you only get filtered feed from "Off-topic" posts.

I haven't tried this in the betas but when I did in the past had the following issue... Ran the tool it told me to disable apps and plugins and this includes any advertisements, the system is smart to enable these once you complete the process. but has a short term memory ( like me ) I didn't complete the process or had to go check and test and had the hardest time trying to remember what state the ads/apps/plugins were before i started. I would suggest the support tool makes a record in a table and snapshot the current settings of all the things it disabled, date and time. and if you leave them disabled and you then want to enable them you can do restoring…

Over the years you add new groups and it's tedious to get a sense of the differences between group permission settings. It would be nice to have a diff tool that can compare side-by-side what settings differ.

I think this request might be an old already asked request, but still. I really need the ability to export/import pages/blocks/templates/css/js/media in the same mechanism as it exists for apps/plugins/themes. We usually prefer to create some new landings on the local dev instance of IPS. Moving the ready page with tons of media items, special template, css and js become very hard to work. We need to copy-paste a lot of files, create a needed (and right named) new blocks with an id's, upload media (which id's changes of course) and etc. This feature might be good not only for preparing something. The ability to choose a default template or css file to open to when entering Edit HTML CSS mode would be kinda nice. Nothing huge, but being able to set it to open to the custom.css file would be convenient.

Hello, on my forum, as like as in this forum, if you click on "Reply to this topic", the browser will automatically bring you at the end of the page and you can write in that box your reply, while you are still surfing that page of the thread. Is it possible to de-activate this function, so that if an user click on "Reply to this topic", a new reply page will be opened ? I mean the same page you get when you start a new topic or you edit your posts in another browser's tab, so that you have only your reply box in the page and not the whole thread's page as it is now. Hello. I would like to make a feature suggestion for the Invoice option of the Commerce addon. Moderators please edit my thread title if you have a better description for it. At this moment, you create a new invoice, set a status, go to next page, then you have to add something the user took. But after the selection, you can't do anything anymore except for saving the invoice to the user. Suppose you choose an article and you want to invoice the customer for more products. I had IPS with most of the apps minus commerce and Pages and Recently I had to migrate to XenForo. The main reason is that my users come from Discord (thats the only place I'm able to get people from to join) I've also been waiting on the Discord Integration but the Dev for that app is AWOL. And in Xenforo there's a better integration. 2 of them actually and either works great. But what made me leave the most was the lack of a Chat app. All we have in IPS is the Free Chatbox everyone downloads/uses. But my members didn't like it because they couldn't create rooms or Personal Message one another. I feel IPS or a 3rd party should create an app like…

I've been looking for some kind of statistics or logs to see what the most popular search terms are within my community, how Search is used (which areas are searched the most and for what). However there is either no such search facility data available to Admins, or I just can't find it, even with the AdminCP search toolbar! Been cleaning up members and noticed that there were many banned spammers and they still have profile photos and cover photos - usually of naked ladies. Once someone is banned - and after some time the system should purge this content. It should be immediate for spammers. Spammers profile photo should not be a random HEX color it should be a specific color or actually it should be a specific color with a font awesome icon ☠️ or something 🚫

At the moment there's no class or ID on a pinned topic. This means we cannot easily adjust the appearance via CSS. This was mentioned here, but not in the correct forum: I'm guessing the suggestion wasn't necessarily seen or considered for IPB 4.3, but hopefully it might now be ?

Is there any reason why income from custom-generated invoices aren't included in the Total Spent amount in a Member's Customer View tab? I've asked this before and received no answer at all. Could we please include those invoices in that amount? They're listed under Purchases and the Invoices list...why do they not appear under Total Spent?

It has come to my attention through some users that following a container does not follow all of that containers children. For example, a database on pages has: Container -Item 1 -Item 2 --Subitem 1 --Subitem 2 Following the container only follows that container, and not the items below it. Just like following Item 2 doesn't automatically follow its sub items (its children). This seems counter-intuitive at best, and bad user experience at worst. Recommending a change that following a container also follows child containers.
