it's great that you've added value to your product by including the app. However, for forums which have their revenue stream via ads, it's not added value its detracting value as the app doesn't include the ads. Could the app include code from the ACP adverts feature? If so, it would perhaps be best to be able to flag specific adverts for inclusion in the app. Alternatively, as I also have subscription users who pay to not see the adverts, could the app be usable by a specific user group(s)?

We are unable to give specific user groups permissions to edit a specific page on our CMS. You can only give them permission to view the page. Really miss more fine-tuning permission stuff like that.

I have several people that have been using my forum for YEARS, typing in the code for their emoticon, instead of sorting through the little images. Since the update, this is no longer an option. The feedback is negative.

I was finally able to download the communities app after several attempts and I'm not at all happy with it really, so far. I know it's new and more functionality/features will be added, but 95% of our website cannot be accessed via the app. This feedback was unexpectedly cut short. While testing and taking notes, I went to the ACP to add a new link into the app navigation. Now I am no longer able to access my community even though it's not under review. To whom it may concern, The notifications for Gallery are kind of all over the place. When a user submits an image, and depending on where that image actually is, Notifications can be either confusing, or worse, useless. For instance: "User has submitted new images to an Album" This one's alright. It takes you straight to that album to see the update(s). It won't tell you which ones are new, so you're left to figure that out yourself. "User has submitted new images to a Category" Well screw me then. I get dumped into a category, which displays both Albums and Images. This doesn't help any. At all. I recommend this be changed to take the user being…

To increase site performance, and to improve loading speed, I think it's time to remove java script codes used in obsolete browsers. Here is an example from a test - removing these obsolete java scripts will reduce the volume by about 11 kbps. or this will shorten the java script download time by about 150 ms

Finally the ability to move forum posts to articles came around, and it is brilliant. However I don't understand why when selecting to copy replies along with the article that the dates for the comments aren't maintained? Instead of putting a warning up that the comment dates may be different, use the post date info on the existing comments and copy it?

Scenario: "A member pays a recurring fee to upgrade to a Usergroup to get permissions to create a club. On the renewal date he does not pays anything, the system drop him back to Member usergroup but he can continue administrating his club (and most probably earning money from club members)". Question: Is this logic? I think no. Even in real life when someone rents an apartment, shop, office etc, the owner kicks him out if he does not pays the rental fees. Solution: I'll not suggest a complicated procedure like "Allow the club to work as normal, bur restrict Administration functions". Hi, Hope someone has a good idea for this 😉 I have a lot of content with links to affiliate partners, other forums etc. In the time some extern links change and i need to search in the content to change all the extern links to the new one. On some sites i see they link to an intern link what follows to an extern link. Example message: Hi this is a message, you can buy it on amazon. The word / link amazon goes to: https://partner123.amazon.com In the future amazon changes the partner link to: https://amazon.com/partner123 . That means i need to change all the links manually. Sometimes you want to reply to specific text, you highlight, you quote but you may want to do that multiple times or over multiple pages and at the moment that is basically impossible. It would be nice to be able to multiquote specific text.

Hey guys I caught a nasty bug in 4.4 and saw that it made its way into 4.5. Happens on firefox and chrome. when in quick post reply window you paste one youtube link and it gets a preview, then paste another wait and then another and with each instance the window will deform and go long downwards. See the screenshot. And please tell how can it be fixed in old version too. 🙂

My community has expressed some surprise that the images in the topic popularity sidebar don't have any apparent link back to the post they came from. Clicking an image makes it larger, but there's no indication of who posted it, when, or where. I think a link under the image, maybe with a "Posted Yesterday by Joe Bob" would be a welcome addition.

I feel like this might be an oversight/bug. While the other badges appear in mobile view, the Author badge was left out of the post container template.

I don't understand why there is a $15 domain name change fee and why you can only change it once every 6 months free. It doesn't cost IPB anything for me to change my domain name. To me this is the equivalent of an ATM fee when you withdraw money, except in this case from your own bank. For those worrying about fraud or anything else, as long as only one domain is tied to that license it shouldn't change anything. So yeah, this is one thing I don't understand, see it as nothing more than a money grab from IPB, and serves no real benefit to the consumer and serves no benefit to IPB other than financially. Hi fam, I want to upgrade to 4.5 in the semi-near future. One thing I need updated though is my theme. I looove it, however my theme developer is not responding at all. What does one do in this scenario (besides use a different theme)? Are there general modifications for all 4.4 themes that need to be made? Meaning, can someone else update my theme? There are too many duplicate selectors in version 4.5.2. In my site I find 48 duplicate selectors. Any recalculation of css causes a browser delay. Here is the most striking case. Darkmode on the AdminCP is looking great! Could we get the ability to set the admincp login page to a darkmode or lightmode. Maybe a slider option under Login & Registration / Login and add an admincp section. That is the only point now where in a dark room i get hit by a bright light 😁

This feature is incredibly confusing, it's just an extra field to enter and you have no idea what you are supposed to type. I still have no idea where these actually show up. It would be nice to disable them. Now there is an extra "General" navigation link showing, but it is showing blog entries that have a different category set??? What the heck is going on here?

The new admin CP, especially with the dark theme looks really good. The whole thing feels "fun" to navigate. Browsing marketplace items looks really good, especially with the dark admin panel theme. Very nice.

When I search for a member's display name in the ACP, if there are many members that have that portion of their name within either their e-mail address or display name, I only see the first 50 matches and in almost all cases, never see the exact match appear. To clarify, from the search bar at the top of the ACP. Please return any exact matches at the top of the list. Reporting this as feedback, yet since I can't access the member I need to access, I'm wondering if it's a bug. To find these folks, I have to go to the member list and use the search on the right hand side to limit and scroll through all results.

I think the leaderboard is a fantastic addition to PS, used in the right way it would promote fun engagements. I have some further ideas which I feel would make it better. Notify members that they have lead (Daily/Monthly) One thing is within many communities I am sure most are unaware of the feature, to promote the fun engagement and to encourage activity it would be nice to see members being told automatically. I'd like to see team members and members separated, create more friendly competition but IMO, team members within sites are always likely to lead.
