It would appear there is a slight problem with displaying the location of a person on the forum. Instead of it being "Location: etc" it displays as Locationetc.

Whenever I create a page, the Latest Record widget automatically shows up. I haven't added it, and it's not part of the coding. I can remove it, but as soon as I refresh the page, the widget comes back. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Hi there, I'm currently using a theme for 3.4.6 that we've been using for a around year. I'm assuming that upgrading to 4.0 will break atleast some of the theme (excluding plugins ect). Just wondering to what extent this is? Can't decide if i'm just missing information thats around. Thanks

At the moment we're using 'File System' as our Data Storage Method. Is it okay (i.e. non problematical) to change it to 'MySQL Database' to see if we gain any site speed improvements? Also of course is it safe to flip it back to 'File System' with no ill effects?

I did a test upgrade of my 3.4 site to 4.0 (currently at 4.0.6.1) and found that the emoiticons from the previous site did not transfer to the /emoticons subfolder in /uploads. I manually copied the emoticons and they started showing up again when creating new posts. However, all old posts display the emoticon text and not the image. Is there a "refresh" tool someplace to parse the old posts for emoticon text and replace/update with the associated image? Thanks!

In 3.4 there was a comment section under each status in the status widget for the forum index. In 4.0 it isn't there, quite a few of my users miss it. Can it be re-enabled or has it been removed from this version? Thanks

Hi. Just upgraded my forum to 3.4.8 version and saw that sites on the server including mine gone crashed. Checked the server monitor live and saw the Ram is full (4 gigs) and the cpu load is between 98-100%. When shut down the forum the load gone to normal but even after killing apache processes which took all the resources. Recently I purchased Pages and am attempting to bring everything under one umbrella rather than having to use multiple third party tools. With 3.4, I used ipbwi and a lot of custom code to accomplish this. I can't figure out how to use Pages with multiple domains under a single account with IPB 4.x. I am making some modifications in templates but the most easy thing I cannot do it. I can use php inside {{ }}, conditionals, functions whatever, but when I try to define a variable I received an error. It is very easy to test, just open in the ACP one template and include this code: {{ $var = 'test'; }} And when you tried to save it the ACP will tell you "This theme file cannot be saved". I have tried the test in many templates and it is always the same, even using other options: { $var = 'test' } {{$var = array();}} But for the rest of php code as conditional and internal functions of php there is no problem. What am I doing wrong? Thank you

The 4.0 upgrade seems to have slowed my forum down and the home page (forums) takes about 4 seconds to load. On the same server I have a 3.4.7 system and the home page load is instant so I am going to rule out network. Any thoughts on where I can start to look? The slow 4.0.6: http://wheelhorseforum.com The fast 3.4.7: http://myoldmachine.com The 4.0.6 is significantly larger which would lead me to some sql parameter.

I'm not getting the "Reason for edit" field when editing member's or my own posts after upgrading to version 4. I note that when I edit my own posts here I get the field. Is anyone else having the same problem? My co admin is hassling me and wanting to revert back to 3.4.8 listing this along with other issues as not liking this new version. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: Attached is what I'm not getting at my forums.

I change background colour but that only changes the colour behind the text, if that makes sense. Thanks for any help. Edit: Fixed. Added to source: Well, something similiar, IPB corrected it I think which was cool. Background colour now changed. Surely a button to change this could be added? EDIT 2: Nope, not fixed. In the preview, the background is a solid colour yet when looking at the page, still not a solid background colour. All I have in the source is: The preview shows a solid colour. The actual page is still white. Can someone more competent clarify if I am doing it wrong or if is a bug? Thanks.

Before we went to Version 4... which I was glad to do... people could login using Facebook. Now they get this error message.. Invalid App ID: Club Adventist Anyone else have that problem? Did Facebook make major changes?
