I tried this before and it failed. I believe I have to do three things 1- change the domain name here on my account 2- have the host point the new domain name to the site on the vps, and have the same DNS at the domain name host. 3- Change some preferences on my forum to the new domain name, not sure where that it is but should be able to find preferences. Am I missing anything else? Thanks

We have a fairly urgent issue with our SSO plugin as we're getting this error message across the board, even for admins: Error code: 2SSO129/1 This seem to be connected to the plugin but I don't have the technical knowledge to figure out what and our website devs won't help because it's to do with Invision. I managed to get into the admin section and got this message also: How do I check if a plugin needs updating/renewing? I contacted the plugin owner about a separate issue last week but haven't had a reply about this yet. Any advice in the meantime would be enormously appreciated. Thanks.

And they are populated with the date/time of when the topic was 'published' ....and you can't save the edit because the date is now in the past. ...and you have to set a future date to save the edit. And then the topic is hidden until that date...

I can't find the settings for this 🥺 We have some custom profile fields and I have switched on the mail notification to yes for completed registration. So far so good. But in the mail I receive I see some profile fields settings (some I don't want to) and some are not displayed in the registration mail. Where can I set the fields to display in the mail?

Hi, We are looking to move our domain to a new subdomain (ie, site1.com to community.site2.com). Do we need to submit a support request to go about this or can it be done in the admin panel? Is it possible within invision to update any hrefs on the original site1.com to our new community.site2.com, such that users stay on the same site through their experience? How would we go about executing this ourselves through the admin panel? The above would hopefully not only be for links in the pages but also in posts on the forum, would this be separate processes? Hi. I am forced to write here in a public forum because I encountered a bug. I uploaded a clean install of IPS 4.7.7 to my web server and unfortunately the "Error 500" error popped up. I'm uploading it for the third time with the intention of success, but unfortunately, immediately after uploading the installer, an error pops up. I have PHP 8.1 version, I also tried changing to PHP 8.0 version but no effect. What can cause this error? I noticed it for the first time in my career when I uploaded the latest version of IPS.

Hi, Please I need help! We are configuring the forum with different access levels. Guest - Only view topic titles. Member Free - View and can post new topics, but do not access premium topics. Member Premium - access everything. With that, I would need to create two pages of: You do not have permission to view this topic. One for Guest and one for free member. Guest Page (with a button to register) Free Member (with a subscribe button)

Maybe it is isolated to my site only, but in researching the error reported by members browsing, I noticed an issue navigating the Gallery as well. Regardless of browsing an album or category, the navigation arrows of the Lightbox tend to rotate only 2 or 3 images. Rather than 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,.... etc. It is 1, 2, 3, 2, 3, 2... I checked this in my custom theme and the IPS Default theme, as well as three different browsers. I have no gallery plugins of applications.

Hello, Wanted to follow up on this. I have some screenshots to share, but we had several hundred posts go missing. Not exactly where from or what has gone MIA, but definitely noticed that there are posts missing. Can you PM me and we can go through the process? Looks like it was week of Feb 6th-14th where we had a bunch go missing. This happened last night at somepoint as I was on looking and it was fine or showed normal counts and then this morning when I checked the numbers had gone down and saw the dates which had missing content.

What to use for email? SiteGround, my hosting account, offers something called Webmail. Envision Community has a lot to consider under System-Email Settings. Do I need both of these. Or if there is only one that I need which one is my best advantage? Some of my friends will use my email, friend@ome2000.com, as they would currently use a Gmail account. friend@gmail.com. I would receive emails from users of my forum addressed to me as support@ome2000.com. I also would use me@home2000.com the same way I would use Gmail. Hi, We've been using Wasabi for file storage with Invision Community for several years now. We modified a setting and completely broke the site -- it seems like 0 javascript is loading and we can't access the admincp. _______________________ UPDATE 1: Although we reverted the configuration using the core_file_storage table in the DB, we did not add "https://" to the "endpoint" field. After adding it, the JS seems to be loading. Images seem to be giving a permission denied error but we are looking into the cause of that now. Hi Guys Seem to be having issues with 400 errors from members since we did the upgrade from 4.6 to 4.7. this is across multiple communities. Not everyone gets the error but when they do they cannot load up the forum unless they log in via incognito or new browser profile. As i said before, it has only been happening since the upgrade. there have been no other changes made to cause the error.

Hi all, Our project for upgrading from 3.4.6 just finished and now our self-hosted customer forum is finally running on version 4.6.12. As a final step, we planned to upgrade to the latest (4.7.7 version) and downloaded the latest installer. Unfortunately, we are stuck at the System Check step since it seems that the 4.7.7 installation package is missing all the content which previously was available in the /applications/convert/ folder. We have some Forums that are private, over the years members who had access have followed these Forums but now no longer have this access. As they are still listed as following, it has raised concerns that they could still be receiving email notifications but a test I carried out on one of these private Forums confirmed that they do not. I have assumed the same is true for any Topics they may have followed too. Is there a way of removing members from any Forums/Topics they are following but no longer have access?

Hello, I changed the storage settings to point to a Wasabi S3 bucket. It's been running for almost 2 weeks now and none of the files have appeared on the cloud bucket. Is this normal? It won't let me edit it either to confirm the connection.

Hello, 🙂 Some of my board's members have reported display problems on phones and tablets. They say there are horizontal lines, like on the below photograph : As for me, each time I switch my tablet on, I look at my board in Safari browser and I see my board is 200% bigger than it should be. So, each time, I have to reduce it's size because it's too big. Do you know how I can fix these problems ? Thank you. 🙂
