Data at Your Fingertips: Explore Our New Reporting and Statistical Capabilities By Ryan Ashbrook Tuesday at 01:29 PM
Stan Jensen
I tried this before and it failed. I believe I have to do three things 1- change the domain name here on my account 2- have the host point the new domain name to the site on the vps, and have the same DNS at the domain name host. 3- Change some preferences on my forum to the new domain name, not sure where that it is but should be able to find preferences. Am I missing anything else? Thanks

Stan Jensen
ok. am trying to follow this. I have ADD so it is difficult for me I go the change the domain URL it seems like I have to delete my installation first? =that cant be right , can it? - - - - copy and paste - - - There seems to still be an installation of Invision Community at the URL on file. Before you can change the URL, you must first remove the existing installation.
Randy Calvert
Just make it inaccessible for two minutes. For example, password protect the site or just rename index.php long enough for the check.
Solution Marc Stridgen Posted February 23 Solution Share Posted February 23 You have to ensure theree is no redirection to that URL. If you are having problems, drop me a PM with the old and new location. Im sure we can sort it for you
Stan Jensen
ok will do..
Marc Stridgen
The issue on your site is that your server is redirecting it elsewhere, and you have no SSL certificate in place for that location. You need to contact your hosting company on these issues. SeNioR- and Stan Jensen 1
