Hi! i've an expired License of links directory mod and i can renew, yes... But - if is possible - instead to use custom mod/plugin/hook etc, i want use ipb default resource. Well, someone can try ho le i can male a link directory with pages? Some info just For starting... - i need to male also an "author quote" page (with category name, User report, rating etc...)! Greetings, We have been using V3 of IPB for the last year and a half, and we were curious if the default member registration form in the new IPB V4 can be modified with custom fields in a similar fashion to what was accommodated in Members / Custom Profile Fields in V3. I have tried running a demo of IPB 4 but cannot seem to find any place where this is possible. Could someone confirm if that functionality has been removed from version 4 of the suite? I have had issues when members post in a section that has 100 members watching a section/category, when posting a new topic it hangs for 20 secs. When i change the SMTP and use phpmail it is a lot faster. Does anyone know how I can improve this? Mandrill works very well for me and would be a shame to pull the plug on it. IPB 3.4.8 CentOS using Cpanel/WHM

Hi, anyone had something similar? When trying to upgrade the members on a 3.x board to 4.0 it fails with a " "Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails"" Now the question is, are there any logs for the upgrade process? As I do not really know which row/table was the problem? Thanks

My forums were severely hacked a few years ago. I would love to use the new version of IPB but would really like to at least recover the users from my old forums. Anyone know if this is possible? Invision support has not been much help thus far as we do not have the old forums files.

When I go to go to "Customization/Toolbars/Add Button" and then click "Browse" to upload the Moono Dark CKEditor skin, I get this error message. I'm clearly do something wrong, or should I just upload the files via FTP to the editor?

Using the translation tool "View word keys?" I have found that the system is prepared to show a description text under Topic Title: I would like to add a text to this language key. But in the "AdminCP > Customization > Languages" I cannot find any entry for topic_title_desc, even under the default English translation. How to add it? Thanks!

Hello, Currently installed 4.0 and during the progress of setting up my new shine board! I saw a cool option called... Questions Users can ask questions that other users can post answers to. Answers can then be rated by other users and the highest rated answers are shown first. So I clicked it and set that topic up! When I went to check on that topic to see how it worked their was nothing their? So the big question is here... how do I set up that type of topic? as I can't add questions to that forum if it's not showing up? the problem is corrected! not sure how it just showed up after while weird.

Now that the bbcodes are gone I see youtube embeds by just providing a link in the post area. I've noticed an issue, how do you do the same with dailymotion.com videos? If I paste a link the video never embeds.

CKEditor integration with IPB is excellent and I love the "Add Code" functionality and code syntax highlighting. However, the default code modes are HTML, CSS, PHP and JS, all very sensible choices but I need to add LISP syntax highlighting for my board. I see that CKEditor is compatible with a number of highlighters and I'm guessing that the default on IPB is Prettify, which doesn't support LISP. But CKEditor is also cmpatible with highlight.js, which does support LISP. So, my question is: how do I switch to highlight.js and add a LISP mode to the options on the editor?

Hi! I test upgraded my forum and i think there is an issue regarding the images that are in the posts. When i click i dont get them to show in lightbox but on a new tab. If i insert a new image then it shows up ok. If i edit the post and remove/ add again the inserted image then it works again. Is there any easy fix on this?

Can UserID #1 primary group not be changed on a fresh install? The only option for primary I have available is Administrator. This was a conversion from myBB 1.8 -> IPB 3.4.7 -> IPS 4. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I'm wanting to keep the Administrator group as Administrator, but change my primary to Site Owner (which is a copy of the Administrator group).

Hi Guys, so I've upgraded to the latest 4.0 Version. A few questions though: Why isn't the like button not showing next to each post? I cannot find a setting to enable this feature below the avatar picture the profile fields gender and interests are being listed - is there a way to turn it off (besides converting the skin to full manual mode and editing the template) Thanks for your help!

Hi I'd like to find a free responsible tabs script that would be compatible with IPB 4.0 (IP Content now Page) and that doesn't mess up the default skin. I have tried a few but they all use bootstrap and when I apply it in a page my website layout becomes broken. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I submitted a support ticket, but I do not expect to get an answer any time soon due to holidays and the timezone difference (ID: 920659). Bord url: www."domain".com/community Version: IPB4, latest as of writing Using CloudFlare Whenever I get to the point in the installations where it create the database etc, it just redirects to the root url, www.domain.com. Looking through the requests, it looks like it is making a http request which is being redirected which gives a 302 status. I have tried removing htaccess files which potentially could cause this issue. I tried enabling developer mode on Cloudflare, and combining it with removing the .htaccess file.…
