I am working on a modification to my board that will ping an external API with two values (a username and verification token) which are provided by the user during registration. If these values are correct, the external API returns "1" and then refuses to accept the verification token again, returning "0" on any future attempts to use the same token. If the values are incorrect, the external API also returns "0". I have added custom validation code to handle this. I am running into a problem where submitting the Register form runs the validation code three times. Actually, members can, guests cannot... So, I want to have a forum (Q&A) in which questions are visible to all but answers not. The problem is that as soon as you turn OFF the "Users can see questions asked by other users?" selection, then 'guests' can no longer see the forum, no matter what permissions are granted. Only registered Members can see the questions. Did I miss something? I'd like 'guests' to see the questions too - obviously not the answers... Thoughts? Thanks

Was trying to add <?php include("filename.php") ?> to the global header and invision said "ah, hell nah" and automatically commented out my code how do you execute php or stop that automatic commenting out of php code? thanks!

Hello, for the registration/profile questions that you awnser on sign up I have a radio called "how did you find us" and it allows users to click how they found the forum. One of the awnsers is "other", I wanted it so when someone clicks the other button a text question will appear asking what the "other" is, is this possible? Thanks, Joe

Hi, I happen to run a wordpress blog and absolutely wish I could have SSO with the blog and IPS4.0. However, a plugin for either aren't out. My blog happens to have several plugins, a unique theme, and more installed. Would I lose the theme and plugins? I honestly feel like I should just wait for a plugin to enable SSO between both wordpress and ips4.0... Thank you.

I'm just curious if the physical address has to be displayed to everyone. It seems its hard coded in order to use EasyPost ad a shipping API, but I run my business from home. I'd rather not publicly display that information to customers. It seems the only other option would be to use a PO Box. But that would disable functionality of other postage services with EasyPost.

As an admin I can go into AdminCP to locate the spamming member then press the "Delete Content" button to delete all the spam ever posted by this user. If I log in with ModeratorCP no such function exists. Is there a way I can let my moderators do it? While on this topic, I was wondering why it takes so long for the "Delete Content" to take effect. Last time I tried it took about 15 minutes.

e.g For this example theme.header_image1 is set to a resource link: {resource file="" ..... } {{if theme.header_image1}}<img src='{theme="header_image1"}' alt='Header Image'/>{{endif}}In this instance, it won't retrieve the file from the resource identifier it will literally try to load the string "{resource file="" ..... }" I assume this is a back to front parsing issue

I saw we had an EasyPost plugin available, but it kind of bums me out that we have to input our Physical Address. I run a business online, from home. I don't want to give that information to people. There's also no option to input an address that isn't publicly visible, it breaks the plugins calculations..

It seems that after upgrading to IPS4 there is a lot of broken content before the background processes have completed -- e.g. posts that used bbcode not displaying properly due to formatting not having been updated. The problem is that the background tasks take days to complete at best. "IPS\core\Messenger\Message" has to go through 1.9 billion entries. Although I realise background processes are designed to do just that -- run in the background -- the formatting errors will be a significant annoyance to our forum's members if they are to last for at least several days before they are rectified in addition to the continuous server load during that period. Long story short, I (or IPB) accidentally deleted an unknown amount of users when pruning accounts that had 0 posts. Now those posts state 'Guest'. i thought I thought could tell all the posts that were written by a certain member by looking up their IP, but this info is not correct. One person I looked up who I know had over 300 posts, only showed the IP of having 10 posts. If the person registered on the forum again, and was able to go through and tell me exactly which posts were theirs, is there any way to assign a 'Guest' post to a member? Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do about this? Thank you.

Yesterday I switched from Bluehost shared pro to Bluehost Wordpress hosting. They warned me the forum could have problems working. I tried and everything works for already logged in users. However, if you are logged out and try to log in, you can't login in any way. Everything else works. Is this really a compatibility problem or maybe something related to the IP change or something else? Thanks

Hi Ive added a profile field checkox set whereby I want members to check a box for which County they live in the UK.
