Upgrading to 4.0 (incorrect key file for table)

As I'm in the middle of upgrading, I'm at the last step, but I have an error that appears and says 

 

Incorrect key file for table 'v2core_notifications'; try to repair it
 
/home/profootb/public_html/test/system/db/db.php::1482
 
 

Anyone have a clue how to fix this? I can't make progress in the upgrade until it gets resolved. Meanwhile my site is offline. Any help would be appreciated! 

I had this same issue with my upgrade, but for a different table.

I compared the table to what was in my backup (was planning to restore), but noticed that the table was new - I just dropped it and retried the step in the installer; worked fine and recreated the table with the key error.
