I currently have my site in a subdirectory of my domain, i.e. mysite.com/forums I would like to have it *appear* as if it is in the root domain without actually moving the installation down a directory, i.e. mysite.com/ So that a forum link would look like... mysite.com/forum/497-peer-to-peer-technical-support instead of... mysite.com/forums/forum/497-peer-to-peer-technical-support Is this possible with a simple .htaccess edit? IPS 4.1.x has the ability to rewrite a lot of URL's as it is.

Hey guys, I'm adding a custom block with some php code and it just throws me an error 500 whenever I try to the load the page. Just to test it out I'm using the sample SSO code from the documentation, which is simple enough. But whenever I save it and view the page that the block is on I get an Error 500. /* Require the init.php file from the Community Suite root directory */ require '/path/to/suite/init.php'; /* Initiate the session to verify who this user is */ \IPS\Session\Front::i(); /* Print the user's name */ print \IPS\Member::loggedIn()->name; That's the exact code I have in my custom block

Welcome, I've just updated to version 4.1.8 of IPB. And when I created topic I found very bad thing for me ;/ In 3.4 when you mark graphic in editor and hit hiperlink then your photo was anchor of link.... now it's impossible with "insert other media" and hiperlink tool ;/ How to do it in rich text editor?

Aargh, serves me right, just playing around with a new install and was looking at htemes. For some reason after switching on designe rmode and then coming out of it, my forum decriptions display this on my forum??? News from the Admin Team #VLE#forums_forum_2_desc#!#[ Please read... ]#!## I really shouldn't footer... Any thoughts what I have done? Sigh, fixed it, switched on translation service. When using IPB3 I had been used to not give members the permission to view reports, so I got a little surprised today when a warned member commented on a report. There is just one member group report permission setting in IPS 4.1 and that is "Can report content?", but there seems to be no other setting for view permission. So I wasn't aware of this change. Now I need to test this changed functionality to see how it works when I comment to the report, because there is no reply button to his comment like the image below shows. I have to click on the Moderator comment tab and write a comment to his comment?

I created a custom table in my header and footer to display linked images to various sites it works good on the "web" site but on mobile it does not work it changes the width of the screen not sure how to fix this or if it is possible to hide these tables from mobile. Checked my site after breakfast and was surprised to find blank white error screen of death. Hi, i upgraded my forum on a test server to 4.x. Its going good but a lot the post with the HTML format are showing as code. I rememberd that i installed a plugin / module on 3.x to use codes likee etc. Does anyone know how to "fix" this. A forum post looks like on 4.x at the moment. Anyone knows how to solve this? Besides the gallery being a potentially chaotic disaster... how can I remove the ability for somone to use another members gallery image as their profile photo? Click any image in gallery and top roght you can add that image to your own profile. BARMY if you ask me and will be sure to annoy many members.

I can't seem to find a way to center a Youtube video in a post anymore. In IPB 3.x, I could just highlight the link and hit the "center" option and voila! That doesn't work now. And, since I can't find a way to change the editor from rich text to basic, I can't try it that way either. Is it even possible to center a video in a post? If so, what do I need to do?

The convert application for IPB 4 is throwing this error on the final conversion step (after entering DB credentials) Class 'IPS\convert\Software\Forums\Xenforo' not found After looking through some of the other converter files, it seems all of the other sources use "namespace IPS\convert\Software\Core;" however Xenforo is the only one that uses the "namespace IPS\convert\Software\Forums;" Not sure if the above has anything to do with this, especially since, as we see above, it is actually calling the correct path.

Hi, I would like to ask: 1) can I change logs storage location (uploads/logs/) ? 2) I would like to use system cron. I have setted /applications/core/interface/task/task.php chmod 0777, but still have got message "In order to enable this setting you must make the ***/applications/core/interface/task/task.php file executable (i.e. chmod 0777)." and cron is not set..
