Before installing the 4.1.12 Uograde I read through the benefits and noted that a Preview Function would be added....so Members could Preview a New Topic/Reply/Post before submitting it. A great feature that cuts down on a lot of editing after the fact. Now that my IPS Board is Upgraded, I can't find any Preview Function tied into the Repy field or anywhere to enable it in AdminCP. Was I imagining that I read this would be an added function to 4.1.12?

After I upgraded to the latest version (4.1.12.1), some strings in my "What's New" page are missing: http://screencast.com/t/DF5sewrG Also the "quote this" popup string is missing, and probably some more. I believe this is related to the fact that a JS file named "root_js_lang_2.js" is actually missing from the server, and return 404 error when called on the page. Please note that it was working perfectly fine before I upgraded from 4.1.12 to 4.1.12.1. any help? thanks

So I was using this for the amazing work provided on this forum, it works amazing for PRIMARY groups, however I'd like to do it for Secondary Groups. Hi! I have made a new skin for my community, it's based on the default skin by IPS but I have changed the colors :-) I have set my new skin as "fronted default". At the bottom of the page there is a "theme" option with two skins, my new skin and the IPS skin. Can I hide the IPS skin from users? I dont want it to appear as an option to choose from...

Hi! Are there less options in the latest version of the gallery? For example: http://www.jeepsweden.net/index.php?/gallery/category/2-resor-träffar/ . I want to see only the albums (with cover photos) on this page, not all of those small thumbnails, they just make the page hard to look at. How can I fix this? Before upgrading I had only albums on that page

Hi! I have made some changes to the default skin, added some new colors. Pretty happy with it. I have been using the "built in" color changer. But I can't find where to change the dark colors in the calendar. The background color of: Current day and events shown in the calendar. Have a look. I submitted a ticket, but with the weekend, I suspect it will be a while before they get to it. -------------------------- I uploaded the entire package, tried to run the upgrad. It was going along nicely then I get this display. The squarewheelscycling.com page isn’t working squarewheelscycling.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE The URL at the time of error was: xxxxxx Refreshing the page didn't work. I had to restore from a backup. Any idea why the upgrade failed and how I can get it to work?

Hello everybody, I am trying to install a fresh IPS 4 (4.1.12.1) on one of my new machines. However, I am running into an issue every time I start the installation. It first says "Setting Up Databases" and then goes straight to a "<hostname> has redirected too many times" page error (on Google Chrome). I'm seeing large numbers of the following query with different "INDEX_TAG IN" terms taking up to 90 seconds each to run: What particular event or process is creating these as it's wreaking havoc on performance. Is a search engine bot flooding something ? Is this is a query produced by the 'reindexing posts' background process which is currently running ?

Good evening all. Hopefully this is not going to affect anyone else, but this evening I was making a group permissions edit and the software 4.1.12 reset all permissions for all groups to enable everything. Which meant for about five minutes until I noticed banned users, guests etc could view everything, including hidden moderator forums. I assume this is a problem with my database rather than the software, but until I hear back I wanted to suggest all users double check their settings if they have tinkered in the group permissions today.

Hi, Today I bought a license for nvision Power Forum and Pages. Once installed I found a problem. On all the pages with a form the editor didn't show up. In Firefox their javascript console I get a few Reference and Type errors. How can I fix this problems and get my installation working?

I'm probably being especially stupid bit I cannot find a way to disable permission to upload attachments. We have some forums which we do not want people to be able to upload attachments and is working well in 3.4.x but seems to have disappeared in our 4.x test site.

We just upgraded the board software to v. 4. One of our mods accidentally deleted a thread (we still are not sure what happened; perhaps the javascript that asks for delete confirmation did not get called—in any case, she swears that there was no warning of the deletion). And she was only reading content via an iPad (she does not type on this device). To log in, she had to request a new PW as this was the first time she had logged in since the upgrade. In trying to access the thread, she deleted it. So I asked tech. support here if there is any way to restore a mod-deleted thread, and the answer was no. Since the 4.1.12.1 update today, I no longer get the star icon next to threads with new posts which I've previously posted in. Just the round icon. Anyone else seeing this? Seems to only impact threads that were posted in after the update. Older threads from before the update that i haven't read yet show the star icon.

So im testing my site speed in google pagespeed and i get this! as a suggestion to improve speed. Hello, I was trying to google on where to get a simple script to add custom fields to postbits so it appears under the Username/avatar in posts. There is a plugin on the marketplace, however it seems broken and not workable so I uninstalled it. I appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction.
