Square Wheels Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 One of my sites has over 10k members. Clearly many of these are abandoned accounts and I get a lot of bounced email. I'd like to stop ignoring these bounces, so I recently started turning off notifications for their accounts. It would be a lot less clicks if I could simply move them to a new group that has notifications turned off, but it doesn't look like this is a per group setting, is it? Did I miss something? Can you suggest an easier way deactivate their account and have notifications / emails stop? Thanks
Adlago Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 abandoned accounts - it is impossible to determine the parameter. If you choose the parameter defined in the database /for example 'member_posts'=0/ will be able to sql command of all users with 0 postings to stop 'allow_admin_mails'
Square Wheels Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Thanks, I'm not looking to run a query, I just a group I can move these users to that will have no notifications. I am happy to move them manually, but I can't see a way to set up a group that won't receive any notices.
Sheffielder Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Mandrill app auto moves them into a group if the email bounces I think

Sheffielder Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 I got the mandrill app bouncer mod It takes care of it all for me Any bounces or spam emails the mod disables sending emails to them and moves them back into validating group!
Square Wheels Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 I don't use mandril, I don't want to move them to validating, but I do want to create a new group that does not have any notifications. I'm wondering if this is not possible.
