Currently one of the largest issues I'm having on my forum at the moment is that when people add a signature they can make it any size they want. Putting in a max length/image size would be extremely helpful and help keep the size of people's images in their signatures down. At the moment the only thing I know to do is disable signatures, but at the same time that is not exactly fair to the others that have smaller signatures.

I switched from Simple Machines Forum to IPB about 4 months ago. And I've see a steady decline in page views. Initially, I attributed most of the decline to Google having to re-index the site, as I didn't do any url redirection during the upgrade process, so pretty much all of my URLs were changed during the switch. However my rank for my main keyword is better than it was before and the amount of users is recovering, but the page views continue to go down. I am wondering if the way that IPB loads pages might be part of the reason for the drop in page views? I believe with SMF pretty much anything you do reloads the page, but IPB makes more use of Ajax calls. Does anyone…

Is it not possible to install a theme to do custom work on it on the test install? I have installed a theme to do tweaks on my test install but it refuses to let me actually pick and activate it as my theme. I don't want to do this at all on my live site.

Dear All I can assign how many reputation points a member can give in a day in the member group. Would it be possible to change this to a PER WEEK setting? Just to clarify - if members now have 10 point to give away per day, I would like them to have 70 per week - that is, members who only access once a week could use all 70 on Sunday if they wanted. It was either add storage or mogrify the existing images. I chose mogrify to reduce all but the past 3 months. Now my question is how can I recalculate the user usage sizes? Example: my members are limited to 16MB of attachments. After reducing the image size at the Linux level, I want to recalculate the users to accurately reflect what they are using, so if they were using 16MB before, after mogrify they may be using 10GB, but their user record still reflects 16 right?

Hey folks. I have a few questions regarding the transfer of my current site to a new domain. I found one post relating to this but it was dated in 2012 and the links in some cases were dead so here I am asking what I'm sure has been asked in the past. Is there an easy way to make a file within Downloads private? Something like a radio button that toggles the ability to see a Downloads entry. Privacy on = seen by just the user that uploaded the file. Privacy off = seen by the entire community.

When I go into System->Search Engine Optimization in AdminCP and enable Rewrite Urls I get 403 HTTP errors after uploading the .htaccess file I am told to upload. I have a subforum dedicated to photo challenges. I use a discussion to collect submissions and don't want each participant to see the other participants' submissions. In IPB 3, I set the permission for the subforum so that attachments couldn't be downloaded. This way, people couldn't see the other submissions. In IPB4 this is not possible, as confirmed by the support. To you know of a workaround or hook to hide attachments from a specific member group?

So I'm new to e-commerce. I bought the 'Commerce' addon for my community to handle donations when we upgraded to v4 and haven't really touched the store stuff much. So my knowledge is a bit limited.
