I'm moving my entire site over to HTTPS. Everything else is staying the same. Like this: http://www.example.com/forum/ To: https://www.example.com/forum/ I've already changed my site. But the forum I'm not sure how to update. What changes do I need to make to be sure that pages don't break? And how do I secure all the images and scripts that the forum uses so that all the elements on the page are fully secured?

Good day/night! Interested in this question, can we implement AJAX pagination in Articles (Pages) ? Now when you select the next page you redirect to another page, I would like that information updated right on the same page, as is done in "Forums".

My users are reporting that they are accidentally marking individual forums (via the speech bubble icons or the "Mark Forum as Read" link at the top of a forum index) as read. I once did this myself, and it doesn't necessarily need a laggy device to happen. In my case, my phone triggered a screen rotation and in trying to correct it I accidentally tapped the mark as read button. Is there a simple way to code a confirmation window or modal? Ideally, I'd then like to apply this to any instance of "mark as..." in my themes.

Hello, I have a custom field in one of my databases which contain a price. Now I want to allow the people to enter a price with or without thousand seperators and with or without cent seperator. So far so good. I added a text field with following regex: /^\d+(,|.)?\d{0,2}$/ I can enter a a price like 3,000.11. That's good but in display view I do not see any thousand seperators. How can I do this? I also tried the format setting "format numerically" but then the cent digits are being cut off. And I tried to modify the custom output code of the field to: {{if $formValue}} {number_format(floatval($value))} {{endif}} ... but ... nope. D…

I'm unable to find any documentation on this, but how can I allow forum users to embed web pages using an iframe? Under Customization - Editor: Settings - Advanced there is a field for "Allowed iframe bases", but I can't see any button that I can add to the CKEditor to allow this. The potiential security issues that comes with iframes is not really a concern in this case. EDIT: Running IPB 4.1.13.2.

I cant see a way to put a script in a post, I have tried source, I have tried to put it in the description of the forum but I cant. I know I can edit the template files but I want a code to unlock when they open a topic that has a certain script attached to this. Where EXACTLY does this make it possible?

I am changing the domain of my website and would like that to reflect on my IPS 4 installation. I have changed the domain already in terms of the hosting, however, IPS still believes that I am using the old domain as it directs to it. Would there be a file I need to edit in order to set the domain where the IPS 4 installation is currently installed? Any support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Oliver

I have my Board Registration/Spam Protection set with reCAPTCHA1. Spammers are still sneaking in. I have it set so Registrants have to fill in enough fields that I can tell if it's Spam, and also set so I have to authorize through AdminCP. I can delete them before being authorizing. ?'s That choice says it provides two words that need to be copied by a registrant, but only one word is actually there upon registration. Is that just a mistake in the description? I thought reCAPTCHA was a solid spam prevention device, why are Spammers still registering? I've found myself in a bit of a quagmire with the latest ipb upgrade I did. My site used to support itself with job listing and from looking around the site there's no longer a viable solution for me to provide this service to employers and I need a little help developing a viable solution. Hi, I converted my vB forum to IPS. The vB forum was at root /public_html/ whereas I've installed the IPS at /public_html/forum/ directory - on same server. As per the IPS conversion guide, I've configured and installed the vB redirection files into IPS folder /public_html/forum/ I believe that this step is to redirect the vB links posted into the posts. But I need to know, when I'm pointing direct link of old vB thread (which was installed at server's root) in my browser, why I'm not been automatically coming to equivalent IPS thread? Hey guys, I'm new on IPS and seeting up my first forum over here. My dounbt for now is about some things that are not showing on the forum page, first one is the last category I've created (as you can see at image1), it just doesn't appears in the forum (image2). As you can see at image2 as well, is that the side bars, users online and forum statistics doesn't appears in the forum as well, I don't know if it should appears or if I should set it up in any place (if that's the case, can someone show me where I find it?) Hello, I recently upgraded to 4.1.13.2 and I now constantly receive this warning message on my ACP dashboard. I run the task manually, but the error message appears 2 minutes later when the task attempts to auto-run itself. Additionally, a member just contacted me and said they received this error on Paypal when trying to purchase a product on my site: Prior to the upgrade, I don't believe there were any issues. Firstly, are these issues related? And secondly, is there a solution I should follow?

Hello, if you have a database with record image enabled the image upload field is always at the bottom of the record form. How can I move it more to the top of the field list? In our case it would make more sense right after the title field. Normally you can change the order of the fields in acp BUT not the record image field. I tried to create my own record form but the record image field is part of the normal foreach loop. Thanks in advance for any help.

Today there is a red nag on the top of my screen telling me I must upgrade to the latest version of the software suite. My license is not current, so in the past where this screen has appeared I have been able to dismiss it and carry on. Now I can't do that. Why? If I am honest I don't like the direction this software is going and I don't like the attitude of the support behind it either. Are we now being held to ransom by IPS? If you don't upgrade we will place an immovable red block at the top of your login until you pay us a licence renewal. Is this the way it works now? I need to do a completely fresh install of my site (long story). My question is how do I retain the forum/calendar posts and events and users while everything else is fresh? What specific portions of the database do I backup and then restore?
