My question is how do I retain the forum/calendar posts and events and users while everything else is fresh? What specific portions of the database do I backup and then restore? pilotguy Posted July 10, 2016 Author Share Posted July 10, 2016 I guess in more detail I really need a hand with the proper cpanel backup settings for particular parts of the database AND how to copy them successfully to a new install. I want everything fresh BUT want to retain my forums and posts, events and any created databases. I've tried copying portions over but get met with errors. I really could use a hand with this. You have to create a new database, and inport your old database into te new one. And use the old uploads folder, otherwise the uploaded images are gone.
