Is anyone here using Amazon S3 for file hosting? I am in the process of moving my attachments directory over but there appears to be broken links and missing thumbnails. I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with the S3 option.

Hello, I did a bit of web searching to find a solution, but all was outdated, or not what I was looking for. Currently, when making a forum post, members can upload file(s) in their posts. There is no restriction to the format allowed, which I want to do. I want to make sure people are ONLY uploading photos. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Hi, I have recently been having some problems with the forum generated emails. New registrations have been contacting me, half a dozen in the last 2 days, and looking through the log, no hotmail user has registered for a while. It seems that my registration emails are being junked, and in some instances not even reaching the junk mail. How can i resolve this? I originally set up a new email address for my forum so all outgoing mail is thegrandalliancecommunity@gmail.com and its all running through email section on the forum dashboard. I have seen some posts on here about using an email provider. Should i be using one? I see that mail…

Hey guys, I have been trying to optimize my new forum. I have fixed some of the issues, but I am at a bit of a loss in terms of fixing this issue: Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content. Google PageSpeed Insight Report: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fparadoxhockey.com%2F&tab=desktop The report states "my page has 13 blocking script resources and 12 blocking CSS resources. Any chance there is a legend or map of what the areas on the front end are called? i.e. 'reset area background', 'widget title bar', 'moderated background', 'dark area background', 'light area background', etc etc .... a diagram would be handy. Little pop up explanations would have been better.

I am running on 3.4.x at the moment and I can call IP Gallery images to my IP Content Databases templates via the following string.... <img src="https://www.website.com/gallery/?module=images§ion=img_ctrl&img={$data['record']['cover_image']}&file=medium" height="320" alt="{$data['record']['ImageTitle']}"> I tried the same string on 4.x and it does not seem to work. Does anyone know what the new string would be. Right now my members only need to go to a IP Content Database record and enter in the image ID number to render an IP Gallery image.

Hi, we are using Invision Power Board as comment platform for our online articles. Our Comunity Managament consists of 5-7 CM's. At the moment we are struggling to update to IPB4. Yet, our CM's used a very primitive Method to moderate Posts in the IPB-Backend; they are exchanging the Time until each of them has revised the comments (=posts) of an article (=topic). In the new Backend, there is no Time anymore, just "1 hour ago" or whatever. So my Question is: Are there any Users here, who have serveral moderators who are working on the same topics / forums and are working in parallel? How are you organizing your work? Hi All, before I raise a support ticket for what is probably a trivial thing, it seems to be impossible to delete quoted text and the container box when quoting something in mobile view. Am I missing something? Many of my forums members are having this issue.

I would like to stop a group from being able to send or receive private messages. I can see the settings here: But I cannot select "0" under conversation allowed to start per day. I have a member that would like to show others a specific list of content items she started or replied to. Ideally she would like to have a new tab in her profile that lists her favorites. I did not see a plugin/app that could do this. I suggested she add a list of links to her About Me page. It's not a great work around but I think it would work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi I just did another performance-test prios my PHP7 upgrade and I found some devastating results. My Board-Index site is 7MB+ big and this takes ages to load of course. Main factor seems to be images, which are not resized/cropped properly. Especially the image-feed from the IPB gallery seems to take very very large pictures (1.5MB+ per image) and offers them as thumbnails. I've seen several problems with this in the article images too... pictures are not resized properly (big & ugly resizing). In a performance & aesthetics point of view, when is the plan to adress this problem, which carries on for quite some time now? (for example) thanks in advance

I have established a DB that places content in a specific forum for comments, all works as designed. DB is configured to delete content from the forum if the DB entry is deleted. I deleted the db entry, but the content remains in the forum. Bug?
