I need to disable a language string, specifically the event_location which shows "Location" in the calendar details and I have temporarily just put a period in the box and saved that to not show the word location. Does anybody know what code if any could be placed in those boxes to blank out any language? Thanks

I had forum which I moved to another domain and another place. I changed the conf_global.php path to correct one but unfortunately following is reflected /home/_____/public_html/applications is writable /home/_____/public_html/datastore is writable /home/_____/public_html/plugins is writable /var/www/vhosts/_____/httpdocs/uploads does not exist. /home/_____/public_html/uploads/logs is writable I am unable to proceed ahead and cannot access the admincp. Any help will be appreciated.

Currently the cookies set by the IPS suite are being stored with a path matching the suite location. So for example, if the IPS suite is at mysite.com/forums/, the path to the cookies is '/forums'. This means I cannot access these cookies from a different location of the website. How can I change the path of the cookie locations set by the suite to just '/'?

That will teach me not to refresh my own site while I am busy writing a post. Another admin figured out it's the "users can see topics posted by other users" permission setting for individual forums. That's not especially intuitive since typically of course we want users to see topics posted by other users. Unchecking that setting seems to fix the loophole, though. We'll keep fiddling and checking all our supposed-to-be-private areas, and hopefully that's the last of the loopholes of the group privacy settings. Hello, I am offering a service in my store which needs to be processed by one of our staff members. Therefore we would like to keep the customers posted about the process with some sort of order status. Possible statuses would be something like "Paid", "Waiting for payment", "Processing", "Completed". Is that possible with IP Commerce or any marketplace application?

Hey guys. I am building a community on my own VPS server. I am getting fed up with viglink and their 3 day response time with vauge answers to my questions and lots of issues with their revenue reporting. Does anyone use CJ affiliates on your forum? I am looking at their automated deep linking tool. Basically requires loading their JS in the header and it auto affiliates any link posted on the forum that links to one of their affiliate companies. Amazon and viglink does the same thing, but Amazon pays crap anymore. Anyone use CJ (formerly commision junction) on their IPS forum? Any tips on loading the code properly? I have forums set up in the 'forums' subfolder on my website I don't have a website just forums On speed tests it tells me to avoid the following redirect chain * http://www.website.co.uk/ * http://www.website.co.uk/forums/ * http://www.website.co.uk/forums/ How do I do that so that if someone simply types in www.website.co.uk or website.co.uk it goes to https://www.website.co.uk/forums/ ? Every time I try to change this it takes the visitor not to my forums but to folders on my server?

Hi, I'm helping someone using IPS4 rebuild their website. Long story short, their host shut down overnight and they lost some data. I've restored the database and the board works. I'm having issues with broken images (like avatars.) Is there a way that I can reset all avatars so that I don't have broken images?

Hello, My website is:https://forum.grinderscape.org After updating to the latest version of IPS the buttons stopped working. To be specific, the theme button chooses at the bottom and the profile button, Can't edit/create topics/moderate content. A developer told me it is because of Jquery is not defined.
