Hey everyone, I have a self-hosted account and I spent the day moving my site from one host to the other. Everything is perfect...Till I make the mistake of removing all admin restrictions and now, none of the accounts that I have and any of the members have admin access. So, does anyone have like a tip or a workaround to this? Is there a way I can add another admin account without ACP access?

Old server with php 5.4 and mysql 5.5. When a user sends a message / you receive the message, the latest message only comes up on the last page, so the first message you see in the exchange is the oldest, and last message, which you have to scroll through and click to get to, is the most recent. Is there a way to make the most recent message first instead of last?

Hey there, Not sure if anyone can help with this, but I moved from an old host to a new host. This involved the following: Changing old domain to new domain Getting copy of old database and uploading to new database Transferring all files and changing the Global Config file The thing is...I can't login now...It gives me a 404 error. I can't even log into ACP. I try but it just loops and forces me to log in again. Anyone want to help?

I suspect this may not be quite possible to achieve, but I ask just in case. In my forums we have heaps of links to an external website that it's now dead. I don't own that dead site nor its domain nor have I anything to do with it. Is there a way to redirect our links to that site to a different website? (other than changing them manually)

Hello all, I am curious about how I can get a custom field that I have created to appear as a column in the Clubs section of AdminCP. I would like to be able to sort by that value or at least quickly see how many of each club "type" I have at any given time. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Kaitlin

Hi, I started migrating from vb4, but running the converter is extremely slow. I started migrating our 9 million members, and this process took 10 days. While extremely slow, I thought this was okay, now I just need to put the forums in read-only mode, and the tool can finish up migrating the users, messages and so on, that was created in those 2 weeks. I contacted support assistance, but to my big surprise this is not a feature. I have to run the migration all in one go, and keep the original boards in a read-only state while doing so (if I wanted to make sure everything got converted). This doesn't work for me, as we have many posts and threads being …

Hey guys, I have a record database setup that I'd like to be able to search by record ID (in the regular search box). My idea was to create a custom field that used the record ID $databaserecordID or something along those lines. Does anyone have any ideas, or know exact what the $class is for the ID itself? Thanks! photobucket sometime back started charging for hot linking images, I have quite a few images on my forum and don't want to loose them. has anyone found a way of fixing this issue, or downloading them and updating the links on the forum, could do it manually but with 15000 images it would take to long. I'm not sure if this has been asked before. There are some of us who are limited to the size of our databases, for example my host allows me unlimited databases, but they are only 1GB in size. I suppose depending on how much content, members and activity going on will dictate how quickly a limited size database will fill up, so my question is; is it possible to split the load between two (or more) databases? For example, is it possible for each app to have it's own database but allowed to access other databases to ensure consistency between them? I know the answer would be to get a host/server that has no such limits on database size, but more often than not b…

I'd like to add a little extra styling to text links in all areas (forum, pages, calendar, etc) but can't figure out a simple css declaration without unintended consequences. hi I have the regular member group and it cannot sent a pm with text, they can attach only a file, there is no text area, this is the same for anyone who attempts to pm them too, only the ability to attach a file. Checked permissions and everything is right. what is causing this ?

I'm installing a clean version of the latest beta but when creating the db, i get the error: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' (using password: NO) I've defined the user and password on the form and I have no errors on the log files. Any help is appreciated.

Hi In member group I set limitation in signature for use of one image 300px by 100px maximum size. However the member is still able to upload a very large image as if its ignoring the size restriction settings. On the plus side it does only allow ONE image as per settings Any ideas how to fix this please? Thanks if you can help.

I've been using this software for over 15 years now so kinda know how it works, but I forget that new members will of course have no idea of all the functionality they can use. Is there a guide I can use to give them an idea of where to start, what they can do etc? There used to be a help page some time ago but it's gone now I'm sure! Thanks ☺️

I post several articles a day, some with pictures. Sometimes I use the same picture for a different story. Is there a way to be able to look at the images uploaded for articles and choose among those previously uploaded instead of having to upload again?

Hey guys, On my previous IPBoard we had a toolbar in the editor that looked like this... I'd like to get something like this again. Is there a way to download a new toolbar?
