AngelsWin.com Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 I'm upgrading to 4.3.1 and it's stuck on Upgrading database (Core: Upgrade ID 103000-0) It has been almost 15 minutes stuck here with the wheel spinning. Is this expected behavior because it's a big release? How long did it take you to upgrade? Should I be concerned?
AngelsWin.com Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 Uh oh..... the progress bar and upgrade page went away and it's now showing the update in progress splash screen. 20 minutes in, unable to load my forum. :(
marklcfc Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 There seems to be more reports of upgrades failing than normal with the release of 4.3, abit concerning

Aiwa Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 My dev board with hardly anything on it took about 15 min. Though take into account it was running on my Mac and not a server.
AngelsWin.com Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 I have support looking into it. They supplied me with a sessioncheck URL to see if it would continue the upgrade and it wouldn't open. Getting a bit concerned.

We had to restore our file system and got Support to do the update for us. We were off-line for about 3-4 hours.

They're working on it now (fingers crossed)

AngelsWin.com Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 Does anyone know how to use PhpMyAdmin? I need to manually add this query per Invision Support. Never used it before, so any help would be much appreciated. Manual Action Required Some changes need to be made to your database. Because this affects a very large table, doing this automatically may time out. Therefore, it is recommended that you make these changes by manually running the queries listed below through the command line on your MySQL server. ALTER TABLE `ips__core_moderator_logs` ADD KEY `member_id` (`member_id`);

I had the exact same problem, and on my main browser (Chrome) I couldn't get back to the upgrade screen. I had to open up another browser (Opera) and log in again and it went through.
MC3 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 I got HTTP ERROR 500 while updating, all the board was down even the front end ? Fortunately, I have done a backup so i could restore it to have the forum accessible.
