My tiny little site will reach one million posts soon. Two things. The front page stats claim I am at 999,008 under Forums Statistics. The database table forums_posts says I am at ~891,007. Which is correct? That's a huge discrepancy. Also, any tips on a query to find the millionth post? Thanks

My website AngelsWin.com has been running great and I haven't made any changes for some time in the admin panel, but suddenly just 30 minutes ago it won't render my website or forums. This is the error I get.. Any thoughts? I reached out to support as my website is hosted by Invision in their cloud services.

Hello all, I am trying to move one of my IPS FORUM sites to another MYSQL server. When I run the migration wizard in MYSQL WORKBENCH (latest version), I get the error below. Please note that I am on MYSQL 8.x (very current versions on both servers). MIGRATION WARNINGS, EXPAND TO VIEW core_message_posts Indicies msg_post ->Truncated key column length for column from 0 to 255 Obviously I am asking this because I don't want to have any data loss while migrating. I've migrated many MYSQL databases but have never seen this. Thoughts? Thanks!

Hi all, I'm trying to write a quick script on my site to expose some details about the currently logged in user, based on the active session, and it's been a bit of a struggle so far. Hi all, I'm trying to find where or how I can update the registration page? I've found some bits and pieces but specifically I want to add classes to change how the labels of the form look, like where it says "Display Name" etc https://gyazo.com/ed1f84250eb122cafe2185ef6adb0c78.png Also I'd like to remove the "REQUIRED" span. Maybe I am blind and do not recognize an option that already exists, but how can I restore older revisions of content that has been edited by a user? Example: A user posts an answer in a topic. After 5 minutes he edits it. Now I want to restore the older content. I can see the revision history, but there is no option like "jump back to this revision". It seems all I can do is to 1.) open the revision history, 2.) Ctrl+C the content that I want to restore, 3.) close the revision history, 4.) edit the post of the user 5.) paste the older content and then 6.) save the changes. Is there an easier way?

I recall there was a link in the Marketplace for that after you go in to the Addon/Theme etc you can click and go to the support thread for that one item. I don't seem to find it anymore on the Marketplace addon/theme items page anymore. I had to go to the user account, than find the listing for the item then see if there a forms already made and then click on it to post a question to the item and/or get up. Now I see I have to search for items in the IPS Marketplace Topics and was not sure what up. Wouldn't it be better to keep the Marketplace item link to that thread?

Is there a way to send out a Bulk mail to users from a specific region? I would like to send out a blurb to users in a geographical area to let them know of new features that may be something of interest to them. Is there any way to group members then filter them? Any plugins that help do this?

I noticed something weird today. I'm importing shortnews from several external sites to a database. Hello, I was wondering how others handle giving credit to images used in Invision Community as a whole, but mostly in records in the Pages app. We post a lot of news articles and many are sourced from other news articles to put an article together and citing these sources is easy if needed, but images seem to be a bit more difficult. Most articles on other software will cite the image credit directly below the image, but there does not seem to be a great way to do this in Invision. Hi, does anyone have this problem before I put it in for a support ticket. We've had a couple of instances now of people trying to send messages using the PM system but in fact it generates multiple messages – may be as many as 10 – including an error message saying that you can only send one message per minute.

Hello, I created iin the Pages/CMS a news custom block with the source "plugin" from the category "System -> User". In the conditions I checked the "Has birthday this month". This block works well and shows all members who have birthday this month. Thats great. But one thing do I miss: At the moment the block show the member name, last visited and the registration date. But it would be great to show the birthday date insted of last visited and registered date. I looked at the template but there I have no idea how to achiev this! Any ideas? Thanks Benny

Hello, Tried to do a test migration from vb4. As a result, attachments were not transferred 🤥 VB4: forum - mysite.com/forum, blog - mysite.com/blog, articles - mysite.com IPS Community Suite 4.5.3: test.mysite.com Subdomain and main domain - on the same server. Questions: 1. How to specify path to Gallery Images? I tried to copy "mysite.com/forum/Uploads" to "test.mysite,com/Uploads2" and specify "/Uploads2", but it does not work, albums are empty. 2. How to specify path to forum attachments? There are no such settings in the migrator. I would be grateful for your help.

Hey there, I have a quick question. I have an ad code that is preventing the Emoji menu in the tool bar from opening. Also, the "spoiler" feature won't display the hidden content when the ad code is enabled. The ad company has tried to figure out (so they claim) what the issue is, but since July I've been told ~they're working on it,~ but to no avail. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how I can fix this maybe via the IPB side (since the ad company isn't being very useful). I don't want to remove the ad because it performs decently. On my site when I set Maximum storage for each submission to 2000 it shows this When I set that setting as unlimited, it shows as this My question is where is that set as 30mb? I can't find it anywherre. I would rather just have the max total size of 1.95mb showing. I don't see the need for it to display twice. Most sites I've checked don't show max file size and max total size.

In IP.Board 3.4.x, moderators were assigned directly to forums, and it was easy to see which moderators you had in each forum. In IP.Board 4.x, I cannot for the life of me find a way to see which moderators are assigned any given forum. I just created a sub-forum and want to assign the same moderators as parent forum. However, damned if I know who they are. Looks like I will have to individually view some 50+ moderators in order to find the one assigned to this particular forum. If that's true, that seems like a big deficiency to me, especially if you run a large forum with tons of moderators. Please someone show me a way to do this? Thank you, ..Al
