After converting my site with 3.5 million posts from vb4 I've just realised that many inline images are now just urls due to the "Allow remote images" setting not being ticked. No worries, I've ticked that now, but now I need a way to rebuild all those posts which are affected. I can't find the option, although I know it exists because it ran for over 24 hours at the end of the conversion process. Any ideas?

Because I need to cleanup my mailing list, I plan to change the bulk mail option (allow e-mails from admin) for a majority of my members (but not all) and I wonder what is the best way to achieve this. Option 1 I tried downloading the Member List where I changed the option allow_admin_email to the required value and then re-uploading it. However, this does not seem to work as the system cannot overwrite existing members with the same member? Option 2 Other option would be to change the option manually in the database. With about 800 members this would be quite a big job. Option 3 Resetting the allow_admin_option using an SQL command …

Hello, 🙂 The new topics widget doesn't show there are new answers in topics. It used to appear in bold when there are new posts in the topic. Now, it stays regular (not bold) even if there is a new post in the topic. Is there a way to fix this ? Thank you. 🙂

Hi All, There used to be some SQL strict mode problems in the past with upgrading versions, and I am wondering if that is still the case. Basically, I am still running 3.4.8, and a test site with a copy of that board on 4.5.4, on the same server, different domains. The upgrade from MariaDB 10.0 to 10.1 was rather painful and time-consuming, basically because there was a problem with the standard supplied cPanel setup on the server, but that was fixed last night. I'm trying to add Google Adsense to my cloud hosted site, and they gave me a piece of code I have to paste inbetween the <head> and </head> section of my cloud hosted forum. Where and how do I do this? Searched through the admin panel, but did no find a location to add it? Any advice is welcomed!

Hello guys, There is a problem with the menu manager while we are trying to "edit" the dropdown menu it's redirecting to a blank page. It is not only with Hebrew language, it's associated with all the LTR Languages. Try it yourself in your community if you use RTL theme, go to AdminCP and set theme to "Right to Left". Then go to AdminCP > System > Menu Manager (app=core&module=applications&controller=menu) > Try edit dropdown menu. while using in English LTR support it will swipe left with the settings. Hi everyone, We're using cloud hosted solution with IPS. We've noticed listings by user profiles indicating "dabbler" "onlooker" etc. I see where to setup ranks, but I am wondering - is that the same thing? Wondering why I don't see any of these pre-defined ranks in my panel already. Thanks, Keith

I have a custom page which displays an announcement database I have built (separate from the built-in announcements system). This database syncs with an announcements board where users may post comments. I am using the Category Articles template to display my announcements but I am not happy with how the truncation is working. Hello everyone. Invision Support sent me here. I asked how I can change the background color of a page. They said use CSS because there is no such setting to change. I think it probably uses the same setting in a particular area of the theme and I most likely will have to change that item....but of course it might occur site-wide. Don't like to use custom css because it often becomes dependent on the person that set it up. And that person is not me. Should I just play it safe and revert the background of entire site to default (white)? Thanks, Keith

I have the desired experience set up in Admin CP: But I know each user can override this if they prefer the other options for whatever reason. As the title goes, so as you can see, one of my users has 033 nickname, but when quoted, he is listed as 33. I think that is a bug, when you were giving values to usernames. Can this be upgraded?

Is there a way to force a redirect to a login or purchase access page (not on invision community)? example- the links on the menu go directly to the community, forums, etc. When clicked - if they are not logged in or a member, it would redirect them to the proper login / join page for access. i've looked around and am not finding this option or how I can make it happen- i may have missed it though. thanks!

Looking for any accounting software that has best compatibility with IPS. Our main products, subscriptions and advertising all running on IPS so hoping to find some accounting solution that can pull all income, invoices, customer detail data from IPS and we just have to manually enter bare minimum expenses and details every month.

Hi everyone, in my previous 3.4 version I uses a hook or plugin called "Message on Board Index", it enabled me to post to message just below the header of the board index and also define which groups could see it (only guests, only members, etc.). This enabled me to have in introduction text for gust visitors or make an internal-only announcement, etc. Is there something similar for 4.5? I know there is a global notification option or plugin for 4.5, but that's a) not limited to only the index and b) can't be restricted to certain groups, so it's not what I need.

When I drag a block onto a database page, the result is global to all records and categories. (every record in the database sees the same block). I'd like to add a specific custom block (such as ads) to a specific record or category so it is targeted. Is there a way to do this? I've tried several times without success. Thank you.

I have several databases which are used for Tutorials, Tools and Calculators etc which I want to provide only to registered logged in users. However, to entice people to register on a site you need to show them what they are missing out on by not registering. The issue with the permissions on databases/pages is to stop Guests from accessing individual records you can't show them a page listing the records that they are missing out on.
