I'm stumped and afraid I'm missing something easy. Help! I've customized the Email wrapper template to include some custom profile fields. I performed multiple tests over the past week of edits and got everything dialed in... now it just stopped working! The email sends just fine. The bulk mail preview correctly displays the custom fields just before sending. But the sent copy just disappears those fields! Hi Guys, anyone seen this error before? I tried to upload the attached image file (inside a zip because the IPS forum gives me the same error) and received the error. I opened the file, resaved it as the same file type, and it worked just fine. G2.1_Series_UnityChassis_II_1760x.jpg.zip OK, found some additional info. It's a JPG, but macOS Preview also says it's a webp image.

I've got a bit of a quandary with my users - I provide them storage space based on their memberships so they can upload content to posts, etc.. Works great, except for when somebody runs out of space - I have to increase the space allowed for their group, or consider enabling the ability to delete their attachments, which will in turn create broken links in content they uploaded. Is there any way to move attachments from a user or possibly a thread into a Gallery? That might be a better solution than having broken content on the site - that is if Gallery uploads do not count against a user's attachment limits (if defined). Hey guys, it started a few feeks ago, my site got FLODDED with Spam postings from guests and new users. I figured I should update to the latest release but the spam continues... I am allowing guest comments on articles and like to keep that since ~70% of all valid comments are from guests. Also the massive increase in spam accounts worries me. Is this something IPS is informed about? Is this a known issue with recaptcha atm? Thanks

Hello folks, this seems like such a basic function, I am using 4.5.4 and I was wondering is there anything I can do so that when a member clicks on a topic, they are taken to the first unread post since their last visit? Or is there an inline button somewhere that can be added inside of each post perhaps at the bottom of the post reading panel so when it's clicked on it shoots you to the first unread post? Thank you!

Looking for a solution for automatic backups. Im moving my site across to a new VPS which only takes daily backups and only stores for one day. Would like to set something up where automatic backups can be made and preferably sent to a destination. Is this possible?

Had a member tell me they could not get the sign up page to work but their friend could from outside of China. A bit of digging shows that ReCaptcha (google based) may be blocked preventing anyone in China from getting past the sign-up page if it is used (including the invisible flavor which we use). Thoughts? @bfarber curious your thought on a fix in the core suite. I'm reorganizing my site a bit and I wish to move quite a number of replies to Download files' comments section. Is there a way to achieve it somehow? Back in the day I had many topics discussing certain files and later Downloads came along. But there were lots of good posts so I kept those topics. Would be great if I could move them into comment section of each download.

So we've just recently launched member subscriptions and put a widget for them on the community's main page. To my surprise, I saw that at the bottom of the widget there's a "see all subscriptions" (screenshot No.1), while none of the other widgets have that same link (Screenshots No.2+3). It's funny because the subscription widget shows all the available subscriptions and doesn't allow to choose how many subscriptions to show, while other widgets such as articles (databases), clubs, blogs etc. do exactly the opposite - they allow you to choose how many "entries" they show, and don't have a "see all" link. Anybody know why it's like that?

Hello, the subject is my question, does the upgradescript turn all extensions off during upgrade or do i have to do that manually before upgrading starts? And, if this goes automatically does the upgrader switch them all on at the end or do i have to check each extension if it works OK within the upgraded board ( i hope it works like this)? Since upgrading to 4.5.4 I have had several instances of members clicking the submit reply button many times and the posts are posted, just had one that clicked it 10 times! I thought this was fixed long ago? What am I missing? Thanks

Hi guys years ago i used to be able to group log ins from FB and twitter. Is this still possible with 4.5? Also need to group log ins from other IPB sites i have so when they log in for the first time they are put in to the correct groups. Is this possible? thanks

After upgrading from 4.4.x to 4.5.x, the view of the activity stream has changed (for example unread). Previously there was a list of topics, but now a list of messages(posts). Users did not like this very much. Can this behavior be configured in the admin panel or through an add-on from the store?

Must admit I'm very reluctant to post this topic as its actually asking "for something" rather than me "giving something" however as I've been "away from IPS" for quite a while it felt appropriate. Due to an odd issue (it is attempting to write /css_built_1 , javascript_core , javascript_forums , javascript_global outside the webroot , as in its creating a public_html/uploads directory in /home and writing them there. I have no css and when I did the icons such as notifications and messenger were missing, but the rest of the site was fine. I did remove the legacy /screenshots and the like from the db as I'd already dropped the legacy files into uploads / …

I've just realised that we've got over 17,000 posts all stacked up in our approval queue going back to 2007 – before we ever converted from vbulletin. With the current functionality, you can only delete them one at a time. Is there no other way to bulk delete?

How I can set below criteria to all the posts / Particular section in Forum. It should be - " The minimum number of words for each post should be 35". If the post has minimum 35+ words then only it will be posted otherwise a message should pop up saying. "your reply is too short to be posted"

Has anyone noticed when on a tablet or laptop with touch screen and using your finger that the like button does not display the choices of the button? Sometimes a square appears with blue quote type icons. Sometimes a brief flash of maybe two of four option icons appear and then disappear? It also has a strange behaviour when using a mobile phone. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks
