Hi all, I purchased a license again for my forum recently. Previously, I had my forum running without a license, which meant loads of spam posts came in. Is there a way to bulk remove these posts, along with the users that posted them? The majority of my latest users are all spam I think. Thanks!

Invision Community: Version 4.7.2.1 PHP Version: 7.4.30 Plugins: None Theme: Default When I attempt to upgrade PHP from 4.7.2.1 to 8.0 both the forum and ACP become unreachable (screenshots below). I have run the Invision Community Requirements Checker when switched to PHP 8.0 and don't see any glaring errors (screenshot included below). How can this be fixed?

I have users getting the error message: Sorry! Your account does not require validation. I have verified with them that they are not accessing the forums from a validation email. I've searched the forums, tried what is otherwise posted.

Hi - apologies if this has been asked/answered before but I couldn't find it through the search facility. I want to untick the "Send me news and updates" checkbox by default on the registration form (see attached) but can't see where I can do this in admin - can someone point me in the right direction please? Something is going on with my search field...it is not formatted properly as seen in the screen cap below. It also doesn't show the search option dropdown when you click in the field. Any ideas what is going on here? Only seems to be happening on one of my themes...the others display correctly!

This is normally routine procedure: I get an email of a new post requiring approval: Reese7713 has posted a post in a topic requiring approval, Midi Chase I click the link and see the post. I realize it's a spam comment so I click the red "Delete" button which normally deletes only the post. I then go to my acp, search for the user and delete the user. Now the entire topic is gone! I went to my moderator log to check and sure enough all I did was delete the post, not the entire topic: This literally just happened (10:22am). Here's the moderator log (the top line is the spammer, the two following lines are me).

Hello, I just saw that I am not longer the amdin or owner on my forum I am just "mamber" How can i get my admincp login back? So i can fix that? You do not have permission to access the Admin CP. what is this???

Push notifications were working great, but recently a few members have been mentioning that they no longer work. I've looked around and can't seem to find the issue. Was this removed as a feature? When looking at the notification types available - the push notifications is not present like in others images. Is there a setting I am missing? I did find a mention of adding images to the spots in the icons area in appearance - that has been done as well. Would like to figure this out as we kind of have been relying on this and now it's not sending. Thank you!

Hello, I have successfully completed a conversion of our current Xenforo 2 database into a new IPB install in mid August. We are now ready to fully migrate over to using IPB but we don't want to re-setup add-ons and changes on our IPB install but also getting all the latest database from the xF install. Can I re-run the conversion tool to update the information? Thanks, Madhouse

Additionally subscriptions not showing under expired or active that are in the database still. Affects subscriptions with an active paypal billing agreement, even with changing flags in db to active there is still nothing changing in the software to reflect accurate subscription and renewal benefits. Was fine before the upgrade.

I started updating the forum to version 4.7.2.1, but the process is stuck. now I can't do anything. I tried to manually unpack the archive into the site directory, but the problem was not solved. I can go to the control panel (/admin) and repeat this procedure indefinitely, but the result is the same. The control panel itself does not work properly. some buttons are not pressed. there is a message on the forum about an update that cannot be completed. It is also impossible to use the forum now. what can be done?

Hello, I am working on a new site and since Invision does not support events recurring by X day of the month. I figured that I would simply do an iCal import for those events. However, the feed is not bringing in the recurring events at all. It works perfectly fine for stand alone events, but recurring events are not added to the calendar.

This may be posted somewhere else but I haven't been able to find it. I'm NOT a technical person and we just switched our website over to a new framework. I'm being told I need Invision to "We need to have the DNS code reconfigured to point to this WPS engine" I have no idea how to do this. Can someone help? Thx in advance.

Hi, Our lawyers have gone over the forums' signup, and the agreement text on the registration process. They would like us to change the "I agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy" text to "I agree to the Terms & Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy". They explained this as I had a look in the theme's HTML/CSS, and the system settings and can't see any place where this would be configurable, can you confirm if this is possible, and if so where we can set this? Thanks!

I can't find where to change the default option for the Search bar on my homepage to 'Everywhere'. As we can all make a 'Pages' our Homepage which i think many people have, it then seems to default to 'Pages' as a search field which makes no sense for a homepage to have. I've got an issue with cover photos not displaying, after upload the area is showing as grey. I notice from an inspection the following value .ipsCoverPhoto_photo { opacity: 0.0001; } If I open the image in another tab I can see it normally There are no options to reposition the image only remove or upload If I open the block editor, the image shows up, if I upload one, I can see the repositioning, and it saves. If I close the block editor the cover image shows but without any repositioning If I refresh the page the image disappears again. The position of the background cannot be changed from the new update. There is no option. Only two buttons appears. I have tried to manually add third button in HTML but it doesn't work. Hello, im the only developer on my IPS community and i don't want to permit people with ACP to see an error messages with "debug textarea". How to disable these messages to them? These windows contain information and file locations that I wouldn't want to be seen by other people..

On my community I use two languages, English (USA) and Slovenčina (Slovak) English has ID1, Slovak ID2, I moved Slovak to top position, but... when, for example I create in Pages a new category in database I see this and after save settings in list of categories result is.... But I would need to see Slovak text. Is there way how I could change priority to Slovak? I need my language at the first place in any way.

Hi, we have had to change our server and I transfered the forum via installing everything with an testinstallation, changed the IP in the DNS and then shut down the apache on the formerly Server and refreshed the test Installation with the license key. Before I changed (or tried to) the license, the forum was working, but not reachable from everywhere, because the DNS wasn‘t synced everwhere. But since license key Update we have trouble to comment, missing icons etc…. I can‘t see and understand the relation together?!

I was unable to upgrade. This is the first time it came up with the message unable to find license key. So I went to IPS website client area, copied my license key, applied it. The same message see attached. The worst part is that it locked my upgrade with now way to back out and my website was shut down. So I had to do a restore. Attached is my end state.
