For a "managed" VPS this is completely unacceptable.  It sounds like a headache but hopefully you figure it out soon. Good hosts are sometimes tricky to find.

Having a host with hard limits on things such as number of files or processes running is usually the one's you should avoid.  Is this a shared hosting server or VPS? I'd look into a different host if I were you.

Look at the CleanTalk plugin. It’s done a great job of reducing spam registrations and Contact Us spam messages.

Can you provide a patch for this, I'm happy to pay even if cached data is wrong for few seconds but do eventually show the truth.

That's because I put off upgrading for so long since it breaks so many custom features and as time goes on, Invision takes a stronger and stronger control over the appearance of the UX.
I don't like the change to the Topic Feed. Makes it kinda useless now.

IPS Forum should be able to change the color of the template to a dark - button, not via an additional plug, but only built into ips forum.

Thank you for listening to the community, it's a step in the right direction.  Most of us have mentioned that we're okay with the price increase - it's part of life and we're willing to support IPS, because your product supports us.  But we were not okay with the bombardment of changes all at once with no notice. That being said, I was 100% ready to jump ship and not re-up.  Now, I think I can revisit the changes and probably be okay with making my payment in the next week.

I'll be honest, the other day reading this thread I was really worried about the prices changes, lack of support, and wondering if I had made the right move from moving from Xenforo. But now that people have voiced their opinions and frustrations (myself included), it looks like things may be going on in the background with their support that we don't know about, and @Matt made some good changes already. I think we are going to be alight guys, now get in here for a group hug. ❤️

Matt, morning! Let me put my two cents. I think you should have to announce renewal price change and allow everyone to renew till January 1 for old price (even if a customer has renewal date after January 1). The pros are customers may choose between renewing right now for $105 or later for $310 if it is no problem for them.
Personally I do not see global problems in $310, but I believe this change had to be realised another way. You should have to give customers a chance to select between several options. Especially because we live in COVID era and some people may have financial problems. I am in luck I renewed my main license past week.
I guess we will see less free products in the Marketplace in the future and less purchases of paid products, because some customers may leave or simple do not renew their license. Bet renew price raising will have long-lasting consequences for us as a third-party developers. I also think we will see how some of developers leave us and switch to another projects.
Regarding support, I see a lot of products where support are provided via public forum. I don't think it is such bad as someone else wrote here. Will see how it will go and hope it will be ok.
Regarding PR, I really hate that 'Don’t worry, it’s not bad news'. It is on top of the worst sentences I have seen for a several months. I work for Yandex and face a PR-sentences from time to time, but that one sentence is very ugly. Price raising is always a bad news for everyone who are paying. I would really re-word it.
I am not leaving nor have a plan to, but I think Invision Community development team must concentrate on customers suggestions and do all the best to release long-awaited update for Pages and Downloads. Especially for Pages, because it has unlimited potential and may turn Invision Community into the next level.

The quick fix here for all is for IPS to halt the switch to annual renewals up front. I get that some people might like to switch to annual renewal but at least give us a choice, please.
Looking at my Client Centre earlier, I'm shocked.
Next month October 1st, I have about 2 weeks to find $155 then another $30.

Then November, I now have to find another $185.

Then the final kick in the nuts, a week before Christmas, I have to find $310.

$680 in the next 3 months without any notice. Great, thanks IPS.

Guess that settles it!  I will NOT be renewing my IPS but will continue to use it as is.  The real losers here are the independent developers who I've purchased from many times in the marketplace.  I will revisit renewing once 4.7 or maybe 5.0 is released, as 4.6 was a yawn-fest in my opinion.
