Stuart Silvester reacted to Daniel F in IPS 4.6 News - Round 2
Few months have passed since our last post here, so let's get ready to rumble🙂
    Supported PHP & MySQL Versions:
The PHP min version was increased to PHP 7.2 in IPS 4.6, this means that your marketplace submissions are required to work with this version, but keep in mind that few clients are going to use php8, so I would really suggest to try to get your code working with both versions, which means that you'll need to implement some changes to avoid some BC breaks in PHP8.
    Here's a great list https://www.php.net/manual/en/migration80.incompatible.php
    Security Improvements:
I have mentioned this change in another topic today, so let's recap it here too:)
We have a new IN_DEV code check similar to the slash check, which will inform you about any outputs containing the CSRF key in the URL.
This is a bad practice allowing attackers and 3rd parties to obtain the users CSRF key, so please try avoid this at any cost!
We're not going to reject MP submissions because of this, but please try to avoid this as much as much as possible.
    Withdrawal Requests:
Please keep in mind that you're permitted to have only one payout request per week;) Since this didn't work out that great and to avoid any drama about canceled requests, this is going to be handled now automatically. As long as there's an open request, you won't be able to submit any new requests! But don't worry, you'll still be able to cancel it and create a new request!

I want to take the opportunity to thank the development team here at Invision.  I know bug fixing is not always exciting. But the actual test of any development team is taking the challenge head-on, striving to better a product before a release. Thank you for all the hard work you are putting in, and thank you for your time, consideration, and patience. 🤩
I also want to thank everyone here, yes, YOU too (reader), who helped test the latest release here on Invision's support site and submitted a detailed bug report.  You, too, are part of the process, and your diligence in paying close attention to detail while taking the time to point out what you noticed, really can and does make a difference.  Thank you for your time, consideration, and patience. 😎
I am excitingly looking forward to the first alpha or beta I can download, install, and test. 🙂

Hey team, I’d love for you to give a warm welcome to Invision Community’s new developer, @Matt Finger
You want some sweet sweet Achievements addons? Then be extra nice to him 😉
So you can get to know Matt F better, I held a mini-interview with the 20-year-old developing prodigy. I said what I said.
When he’s not coding, he’s cooking, fixing things (like cars, bikes, electronics, etc) and reading up on science, physics and philosophy.
After asking him about his hobbies, I cut to the chase and asked him about his passion for coding and a few of his past experiences with it. He flexed his knowledge of philosophy right away.

    🤯🤯🤯

He continued: “That being said, we're faced with the question of, 'how to improve upon one's ability to reason?' We improve upon our ability to reason the same way we can get better at most things: do it over and over again while challenging yourself more and more each time. And in the case of our ability to reason, problem solving and solution finding is, in my experience, the best way to challenge our ability to reason, therefore making it most conducive to increasing said ability to reason, in turn allowing ourselves to achieve our true potential. And software development persistently presents new problems to solve and solutions to find a great way to flex our brains and get better at reasoning.”
“So to sum up, to me, developing is more than writing code, it's more than solving problems. It's a way to achieve my true potential as a human being.”
    “Plus it's fun.”
Welcome to the fam, Matt F!
Please drop a line in the comments and spread the good vibes 😎

You probably don't need it with 4.6, we've changed how the support section works so there's a simple button to clear caches.

sfsNextCheck is not a built in field. A third party application is/previously adding/ed that column and a value is not being supplied with no default value.

It sounds like your server no longer meets the minimum requirements for Invision Community.
The DomDocument extension is enabled by default (and is perhaps missing from your PHP 7.4 build) and is required to run a lot of PHP based software. Please run our requirement checker to see if anything else is missing

If that doesn't show anything missing, I would next suggest re-uploading a copy of Invision Community, overwriting your existing files.

He did. Marc S said it's not possible then he replied to me. Anyway, he sent a new message a few minutes back saying that renewed the license and now he's able.
    Thank you.
