WHY change colors in the default!?  I had never customized and now a bunch of defaults are changed in 4.5.2.  Now, it creates a huge amount of work for me.  Does anyone have a theme with the OLD default colors?

I totally agree. The default skin in 4.5 is absolutely terrible. Huge elements, padding, empty space, thin and faded text, low contrast, and more. It's no surprise why more and more people are choosing to use XenForo, Discord, etc., over IPB. I don't know who made the new skin, but it feels like a beginner freelancer from Dribble made it.
But why did they need to move the follow button one line down? If the follow button was positioned on the same line as the title, as before, there would be no useless empty space.
One more example:

It takes up a lot of space, but none of it is needed there.
You just entered a topic and want to reply right away? Not! You just entered a topic and want to create a new topic right away? Of course not!  Who cares who is the author of the topic and when it was created? Nobody! For example, I have active topics on my forum that are already 12 years old. Why should I constantly show who is the author of these topics if they have not visited the forum for 10 years and everyone has already forgotten about them?? Nobody cares who is the author of the topic. This information is completely meaningless and useless. One more example:

Am I exactly in a place for people to communicate? Because on my screen I see only a white space and a couple of lines of text. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Never understood why there's no link to the posts that have reputation? It just takes you to the first post every time, same on every version.

Yes, this was fixed in beta 9. The admin defined preference is now always used if the end-user hasn't specified their own preference.

My IPhone Xr are on repair again (terrible phone!), so at the moment I use my sons IPhone SE. I think that is a standard screensize for many members also.
How many users need Condensed/Expanded and how many need to alter Stream Options. There must be better way of doing this. I think it is a setback from the version we are on now, and I hope there will be a setting so that we easily can skip that stuff. Most of my members don't care about this functionality - they just need to see activity.

With padding (and similar) CSS properties, if you only define two values then the first one will represent top and bottom, and the second one will represent left and right. So "12px var(--sp-3)" is like saying "12px var(--sp-3) 12px var(--sp-3)"

The title should stay where it is and not be a part of the first post, just look as it did before 4.5. They're not going to change it back though.

Some speed issues I've pointed out at more than 2 years ago, both on this forum and in support tickets, are still present. This is why I've gone off on my own path and have worked with people who have overcome most of them. I was a solid 80 on mobile before this new update. This new JS requirement will be harder to deal with, but I'm working with a programmer now to see what can be done. If I find anything out I'll post it here.

This is what I do.
Go To SEO > Meta Tags > Add Meta Tag
In Page Address put *
I'm not sure if Page title will work, it might but I leave that blank I clicked Add and selected other and then put 'og:site_name"
Then type what you want it to show in the box
 

Yes I'm seeing a number of XenForo sites appearing with this feature, and the respective members seem to love it (it gives them a convenient choice).

A nice simple toggle on the default theme is all we're asking. No more, no less. Can anyone do it without having two themes, as Day_'s looks brilliant and works well having used it.

Try and fix the duplicate topics issue then in unread content (I did submit a ticket but didn't get anywhere with it and had to turn it off, the issue was just affecting large topics)

Just one case for me, the member has his surname as his username. He wanted to remove his last username, which happened to be just his first name as you can get his full name from that still being shown.

Has the option to remove a members display name history gone?
