For the select... It'd be nice to drop selects from front-end imo. They don't fit for a good look. Got it! What's not good here is the amount of control given to Google through the Invision basic theme in forms. The default theme needs more web-kit rules without doubt to stop the Google take-over. Besides, in general the basic user without web design knowledge is stuck with a very complicated issue not addressed in the default theme and is more than likely forced to just settle with a half baked form situation with undesired colors. Just my 2 cents here..

We have 3 custom mandatory profile fields (Mobile, Location, what bring you here) and we wish to use google login for quick registration, but while doing that these custom profile fields are getting ignored. How can we implement google login, so people can sign up quickly and once auth is done after the agreeing to terms page these three fields should come before user redirected to home page? I tried both below options and nothing is working.

Is there any way we can allow our users to customize the latest topic page (/latest) or homepage feed of latest topics from the forums they like? As we have tons of activities and some user started complaining that there thread get buried in few hours. Hope there is a way to sort out how Quora and Medium does, ask minimum 6 interest and then all the feed will show topics related to your interest only.

What other payment gateways does other people use, what do you prefer and what are the benefits? I have read the following page - I've never heard of any of the other options, at the moment I just use PayPal. I'm from the UK, so most are an option for me but I am curious as to what others have to say. Please share your thoughts if you can.

Hi, if you go here: https://community.pressurecleaningschool.com/ and will see that the Activity, Leaderboard, etc nav buttons are a very light color, similar to the custom header color. I can't find where I can alter the nav buttons- is that possible?

It seems from the documentation that social promotion requires allowing members to log in with their social accounts. Is it possible to only allow promotion to social accounts without allowing non staff members to link to a social account (or prompt for social login when logged out)?

When adding a database field of type "database", can it be specified to only show records from within a specific category of the other database? Let's say, for example, that you have a database of Vehicles (DB A) and with that database you have Vehicle Types as a category (eg: "truck", "sedan", "convertible", and so on). You can then add records for different vehicles and categorize them by body type. You now want to create a second database of Vehicle Parts (DB B) and you want to have a field that displays which vehicle the part is for so you can create a field type of "database" in DB B (Vehicle Parts) pointing over to DB A (Vehicles). The thread title is a bit truncated up there, but the general question is.... when using databases with comments and where the forums are being used for the comments (so that a new thread automatically gets created upon the new DB record insert), what determines which DB field is used to populate the automatically created thread post? If it isn't the designated "content" field, can I force it to be? The longer explanation as to why I'm asking... I created a new DB with the option turned on to use the forums for the DB comments. I'm working on a new IPS install (so bear with me) and am working on setting up a new DB. The DB will be a directory of places. Some of the places are public retail spots and others are private (by invite only) but the listing of the location will be viewable by all. I've created two categories, "Public" & "Private". When creating a new field such as an Address, is it possible to require the address if the location is in the Public category but optional if it is in the Private category?

Question: Is there a way to send an email to a user once his/her content has been approved by a moderator? We have a database full of user added products. We require all of the product be approved by a mod, just so the fields are completed uniformly. It would be great to send an email to the user who created the product, that his product is now visible on the site.

I recently purchased a license and did a quick install to make sure all was well. I need to change the URL though (as the current path is long and not ideal). I thought I might just uninstall and re-install, but I made the mistake of not setting a table prefix during the install, so now I have to sort through all the tables to figure out which are for Invision, drop them, then remove the files, and reinstall to a new path. On one hand, I'd like to easily just change the URL, but it'd probably be best to reinstall with prefixes for better long-term sustainability and maintenance. Is there a full list of default tables somewhere?

The field type editor is the only profile tool, I see that can let video be posted like pics. But there are no controls for the video it gets oversized, not showed at source dimensions. If i right click and select VIEW VIDEO, plays in new window at proper size. But the main page is distorted. Do I have any options?, Is there a embed code that can be used in the profile tool field type editor so I can control the size? Thanks, ~saraJ

Hello, I know that there is no such type for extra fields, but is there any trick (or ready plugin), to add links which will appear as button. I thought that editor can do this by entering: <a href='https://www.christeris.com' class='ipsButton ipsButton_normal'>ChrisTERiS</a> but I had no luck. Same when I tried as text type. Any idea? I kind of jumped into using the IPS system, so I quickly did the main thing i saw - set up store products for memberships. I have a 0.00 product for just general free memberships. I rather just register them without putting them through the lengthy store experience. Question is, can a user register using the IPS system without going through the cart experience. Just want them to get the pop up or a page, asking for registration info. I in fact have taken all my paid membership products out of the store. So store is of no use to me. Please advise. I am using the Blog App and it works great. Some blogs will be native others will be imported via RSS. What I noticed though is, when importing the blog using RSS, the main image (Feature Photo) and the contenz inside the description tag of a blog article is not shown when viewing the blog in grid view. Only the standard background image is shown. The Feature Photo could be added manually, but it would be nice to have this included automatically via the feed. Is there a tweak to make it possible to add the feature photo image automatically? Is it perhaps that the blog template would need to be adapted to also parse the description and image?
